Angel's P.O.V

       (Flashback to ten years ago)

"Mommy! Daddy!", I yelled as they got shoved on the floor. "Leave them alone!" I yelled as the strange creatures shoved them out the door. They looked at me before talking in a strange language that a I couldn't understand. The door slammed behind them and I started sobbing.

      (Flashback Ended)

I woke up and quickly wiped the tears off my face before anyone came barging in to see what was wrong. Let me back track a little bit. My name is Angel Diven and I am twenty-one years old. Ten years ago, aliens who called themselves the Predators invaded Earth. My parents were taken when I was eleven and after that I was alone. Two years later when I turned thirteen I was taken in by a group called the Protectors. They go around finding children and protecting them from the evil wrath of the Predators. After being in their care for so long I am now one of the Protectors. I go on missions to help find children. From newborns to the age of seventeen we will take them in and teach them how to survive without being found by the Predators. Once they turn eighteen we set them free with enough supplies to last them a couple days. After that, they are on their own.

Now, back to the story. I looked around quickly and listened to make sure no one woke up. I then laid back in my bed and decided that going back to sleep was probably not the best idea.  So I thought about all the positive things that had happened before the Predators came. Eventually morning came and I had to get up and get dressed. I put on a white t-shirt with a leather jacket and some black leggings. I put my snow white hair up into a pony tail and then walked to the meeting room to see what my schedule for the day is. I looked up my schedule to see that I had a training class today to teach the teenagers to fight if they ever got in one over supplies in the outside world.

After that class was over I got a drink of water because I started to feel very hot. I went to my room and started to get changed when I started to feel a searing pain on my shoulder. I gasped when I looked to see the scar of a flame on my shoulder. I looked outside to see two of the kids arguing. I sighed and went outside to stop them. "Boys!" I yelled and they instantly looked at me. "Stop arguing! You know the rules. If you can't keep the peace, you can't stay." I told them. One of them sneered at me. "And what are you going to do about that bitch?" he asked rudely. All of a sudden I felt the heat coming back as my anger rose. Before I knew what was happening the boy was on the ground without me touching him. "What the hell?" he gasped and looked at me in fear.

I gasped quietly to myself. All I had done was thought of shoving him to the ground and all of a sudden he was on the ground. "No. That's impossible. Telekinesis isn't possible", I thought to myself. I hurried back up to my room without giving the boys a second thought. "Okay. If telekinesis is real then I wouldn't be able to do this", I thought and then imagined my hairbrush coming to my hand. All of a sudden I felt the hardness of the brush and gasped as I rubbed my finger across the bristles. "I must be losing my mind", I thought out loud. When my parents told me I was special I had no idea this is what they meant. I decided to go to the head leader about this, one of my old friends named Kyle Hampton. I told him what was going on and he did the one thing I never thought he would do. He banished me from the group.

Before I walked out the door I gave him one look and thought about a knife being held to his throat. I opened my eyes to see a line of blood being drawn against his throat. He tried to pull it away but it only deepened. The line of red thickened and he gasped for air. "You will regret this", I told him before the knife fell to the floor. I quickly ran to my room and grabbed what little I had including some clothes and a few weapons. As soon as I ran out the door I heard the alarms going off. I quickly ran as fast as I could and as soon as I couldn't see the building anymore I burst into tears.

Davian P.O.V

    I looked up into the sky to see the clouds looking stormy. All of a sudden I heard crying. Before I knew what I was doing I started running to the person. The only thought in my mind was that I had to get to her. Before I knew it I came across her. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. The side of her shirt was slipping down and I gasped at what I saw. She had the same scar of a flame on the back of her shoulder that I do.

          (Flashback to a couple days ago)

I was looking around holding my machine gun searching abandoned stores for supplies when all of a sudden a man jumped out in front of me. He wrestled the machine gun away from me and all of a sudden I felt a searing pain on the back of my shoulder. Without even thinking about what the consequences would be I put my hands in front of me as if that would protect  me. When nothing happened I opened my eyes to see the man in front of me wrapped around in tree bark and the machine gun a couple feet away from him in a puddle of water. I looked at him confused as he barely managed to stutter out, "W-what a-are y-y-you?"

I hurriedly picked up my machine gun and ran out of the abandoned store trying to figure out what the man meant. I came into contact with a few other people within the same week. All of them ended not harming me because either fire, water, wind, or some form of earth stopped them. "There's no way I can control the four elements.", I thought to myself. Before even realizing how crazy I might look I stared at a dead tree and willed it to grow into a peach tree. All of a sudden the branches looked less wilted and started to grow leaves and juicy orange peaches on it. Not realizing how hungry I was I hurriedly picked one and bit into it. I moaned at how wonderful it tasted. Then I realized what I had just did. It doesn't scare me as much as it should. So instead I looked at the clouds in the sky and noticed that they were sky blue. I thought, "What the hell." And then I thought about it raining, and it happened.

 After walking awhile I had started to get hot. So I thought about the wind and all of a sudden there was a breeze. Night time came around and it got very chilly out. I gathered some wood and found out that I was out of matches and my lighter was out of fluid. "No. It's not possible." I thought to myself. I looked at my pinky and thought about fire and all of a sudden my pinky had a flame on it. But surprisingly it didn't hurt. I tried throwing the fire from my pinky to the stack of wood and it caught on fire. Although it's super cool to have all of these powers. I couldn't help but feel an empty void deep down in my soul.

        (Flashback over)

I looked at the beautiful woman in front of me and before I knew it I was clearing my throat. Her head shot up and as soon as her eyes met mine I felt the empty void in my soul become filled. Before I knew what was happening I was pushed up against a tree and couldn't move. I looked at her with wide eyes and thought to myself, "Telekinesis?" It was like she could read my thoughts. And then I realized, I could hear her thoughts inside my head.

          (Angel P.O.V)

All of a sudden I heard a man's voice in my head asking, "Telekinesis?" But I have never heard this voice before. All of a sudden I came to the realization that I was hearing his thoughts in my head. My eyes shot up to meet his and he nodded before carefully and slowly taking a step towards me. Before I could understand what he was doing his shirt was off and I was seeing the same scar on my shoulder on his. "What- what's happening?" I thought in my head. "I don't know. But I think we were meant to meet." He thought back to me. I had came to the same conclusion. As it started to get dark out we hurriedly walked side by side. I didn't know where we were going but he seemed to know where we were. Finally he stopped and I looked in awe at the space in front of me. It was big building with tinted windows with a metal door.

"What is this place?", I thought to him. He just smiled and opened the door. I gasped as I looked inside. It was what used to be a pool practically the size of a Texas but he turned it into what looked like where he lived. There was a staircase leading into the deep end of where the water used to be that lead to what looked like a fort made out of wooden boards. The fort took up the entire pool and only had the one entrance. He leaded me to the entrance and I let out a sigh of awe as I walked inside. There were fairy lights strung up everywhere as the lights and a radio in the corner. He had somehow powered it up with what looked to be a man made generator. On top of that he had a microwave.

I rushed to what looked like his supply closet and smiled when I found it full of microwavable dinners. I jumped up and down excitedly when I saw my favorite one- teriyaki flavored ramen. I then saw Taki chips a shelf down and took those as well. After grabbing it I then realized that I didn't have any water. "Missing something?", the man who I have yet to learn the name of asked me as he held up a gallon of water. I smiled and said thank you.  "My name is Davian Stonefire by the way." he said out loud and I quickly shushed him listening for any signs of incoming Predators. "There's no need to speak in each other's heads. I made this place sound proof. So beautiful, what's your name?", he asked me. "My name's Angel. And how did you make it sound proof when it's only made out of wood?', I asked him out loud but still keeping my voice low.

'Well. I fought of one of the Predators once. He was alone. He seemed to be looking for something. I didn't kill him but I hit him with enough bullets to knock him out and make him forget all about me. I stole his equipment and figure out how to use it. One of the pieces of equipment was a way for them to know each other's location by sending out a signal. I just reversed the code so that it hides my signal and everything within a five mile distance of me.", he finished. I'm surprised my jaw didn't hit the floor. "You might want to close your mouth Angel. Don't want you to catch any flies", he said and then we both chuckled. You rarely see flies around. It seemed that the spiders, flies, and butterflies all seemed to know what was coming before us humans did. They all disappeared the day before the Predators came. After I had finished eating we just sat down and talked about how we had come to find out about our powers.
