I sat in battle stance in the clearing. I had my battle axe, and my bow. My two favorite weapons. Jake stood opposite of me with a sword and said he needed no more. My dad walked in between us.

"Ok! There is a magical dome surrounding the clearing. It will teleport you out when it decides you've taken enough damage. No powers!" There could be a few huffs heard by Jake, Deadlox, and I. "The pain is not real, but it feels like it. Anything goes. Whoever is left inside the dome wins! Ready go!" He said and backed off.

I ran at Jake. I swung, but he blocked. We repeated a couple more times. He swung at me. He was faster, probably because he didn't have a huge axe. I blocked last second. I finally turned and ran. I ran up a tree. I took my bow out and notched an arrow. I shot.

I hit Jake in the shoulder. His face distorted into what seemed like pain but wasn't. Lucky him, I hit his left shoulder. He ran at me, he had anger in his eyes. I darted out of the tree. I landed on the ground in front of him. He swung at me. He hit my leg.

There was this strange feeling. It felt like pain, but had a sensation that slowed down that part of the body. I could barely move. I waited till he got close and I swung.

I hit him in the chest. He fell back, passed out...I think.

"Ah, a fatal wound." My dad said.

"Why isn't he being teleported out then!" Deadlox said, looking frantic.

I went to move, but I couldn't. Something was wrong. Just then, Jake started to rise up into the air in a big black and purple aura. (I'm so sorry Enderlox fans! His choices!) He grew a big black tail with pointy purple spikes. His eyes had purple smoke coming out of the edges. His, once blond hair, was blond with purple and black streaks. His sweatshirt ripped and he grew large, strong, black wings. His teeth grew to a point. He had purple flames running up his arms.

I went to move towards him, but I still couldn't move. And I don't think it was the wound. I started growing frantic.

"Hush child." A soothing female voice spoke. (Only I could hear it.)

"Who are you!" I yelled.

"I am the one whom they call...Dawn."
