J-hope was still in shock, he had stayed that way since he found out. It had been a week and all of the guys had stayed quiet. No one tweeted and No one answered any of the questions that were being shot at them. Even bighit was being quiet about Jin's death, giving the boys some space and time to process.
J-hope noted that Yoongi kept leaving to go somewhere, Namjoon never left his room, Taehyung had lived his life just like before, and Jungkook took care of the guys.
Jungkook would give the guys food, make sure they took care of themselves, and pretty much took the place of Eomma.
J-hope did feel a bit guilty since Jungkook was the youngest, but he was still so shocked and he knew couldn't take care of everybody if he couldn't even take care of himself.
J-hope also stayed in his room like Namjoon except J-hope did nothing. He laid in bed and stared at the wall. Today was the same as the past week.
J-hope laid in bed, sleep deprived and dehydrated. Jungkook would slowly walk in for the first time in the morning. He would check on J-hope, get him water and food and make sure he had taken a shower. (Which he never took a shower without Jungkook making him)
Then in the afternoon, Jungkook would check on him again and then one last time in the evening.
J-hope had tried to get back at it and start accepting, but every time he opened his phone it was filled with reminders that his friend was dead and there was always disgusting articles that used Jin's death for money.
Rumors went around that bighit killed him or that Jin was drunk went he crashed. J-hope stayed in his thoughts, away from all people and things. He didn't want to see anybody, he wanted to die instead. He didn't want to deal with everything. He was weak and exhausted.
He knew that anything they would do would be fatuous at this point. If they proved everyone wrong about Jin's death people would still say it was a cover up and if they didn't acknowledge Jin's death to the public, people would spread more rumors. Anything they did would just be fatuous.
J-hope had come to the conclusion that if anything they did would be fatuous then living would be fatuous.
So he got up before Jungkook would even come in to check on him for the morning. He didn't want to hurt the rest of the members, but he felt as if there was no choice, so he left the comfort of his bed to go to the bathroom.
His feet touched the cold tiles as he walked into the bathroom. He closed the door behind himself and made sure he heard the click of the lock on the door. No one could stop him now. The only person that could stop him was himself and that wasn't going to happen.
He walked over to the sink. He rested his hands on both sides of the sink. He looked up at himself in the mirror. His hair was soft and laid nicely on his head, but he could see every imperfection. He saw his eye bags that had grown darker and more prominent. He could see his greasy skin and the small bumps that laid on his skin. His lips were chapped and he felt like he looked as dead as Jin did when they saw him.
He opened the cabinet that also doubled as a mirror and saw the bottle. The orange bottle with the white lid. He read the words that were printed on the paper that was glued to the bottle. The only words he paid attention to was 'more than 2 per day could result in serious injury or death'. He opened the bottle and let the lid fall to the ground. He opened his other hand and spilled the pills into his hand. Some slipped through his fingers and into the sink, but 5 stayed in his hand.
As he stared at the pills the ticking of the clock filled his ears. The ticking got louder and louder urging him to down the pills and get it over with.
Tick tock. TIck tock. TICk tock. TICK tock. TICK Tock. TICK TOck. TICK TOCk. TICK TOCK.
The ticking taunted him, so he took all of the pills at once to stop it. The ticking soon faded and he was left in the quiet bathroom alone.
He left the bathroom and quickly put on his gray, wool coat. As he left the dorm he heard Jungkook's confused questions as he left. Jungkook hadn't seen J-hope get out of bed in days and now he was leaving the dorm which left Jungkook confused.
J-hope immediately made his way to one of the bridges. It took him awhile to get there. The sun became stronger as he made his way to the bridge and the heat was becoming almost unbearable. He became weaker and weaker, but he kept walking. He saw people staring at him probably thinking he was drunk.
Once he reached the bridge the heat was unbearable, his head pounded and his legs felt like jello.
Soon his eye lids became too heavy and his legs gave out, He let himself collapse on the pavement as cars drove by him.
Then he heard rushed footsteps and a voice he now worried he would never hear again yell to him. That pained voice made his heart ache.
Jungkook was the one that called him.
"Hyung!" Jungkook yelled in a panic.
Jungkook called the ambulance as fast as possible.
Jungkook forgot to call the rest of the guys. Jungkook completely forgot about the rest of they guys until J-hope flat-lined. That was it. J-hope was dead.
After the very traumatic event, Jungkook spotted a piece of paper that had been shoved into Hoseok's hand. It read, 'when people say that pain ends with a bang, I know that it is true in all aspects. You too will learn this. ~J'
The weird thing was, was that it wasn't Hoseok's writing.
