"All rise" the officer yelled when the Judge came back in. Vivi wasn't back from the bathroom and I was beginning to think that she was ditching me.
"Where is that woman? Dose it take that long for a girl to use the bathroom?" Harry asked.
"Patients, she'll come. Don't worry Vik any more then needed" Josh scolded the younger.
"Mr barns" judge Niven bellowed
"Yes your honor?" My voice trembles.
Simon hit his forehead "Man up, Vik. Your going to make a fool of yourself"
"Where is your lawyer?" She asked.
"Uh-she said-said" I looked back to see if she was coming.
"If she doesn't come, then we'll have to propane the court case" lawyer Adam spoke up. He shot me a smug look before the doors burst open.
"Forgive me for being late, I had a bit of trouble getting back" she shot lawyer Adam a look and Adam shrugged his shoulders.
"Let's continue. Lawyer Adam, it is now your turn" lawyer Adam rose and walked to the front.
"I'll like to call someone to the podium. Vikram barns" I felt an officer wheel me agents my will to the podium.
"Don't mess up!" JJ yelled to me as the officer helped me to the seat. He stood behind me as lawyer Adam started to stroll in front of me. "Tell me about the day of the incident"
"It was my birthday, a Friday in August, on the second. Me and my friends-"
"-Can you explain who you were with?" He interrupted me. I felt slightly annoyed being cut of, but I didn't say anything.
I answered his question "Of course. I was with Ethan Payne, Joshua Bradley, Simon Minter, Olajide Olatunji, Harry Lewis and Tobi Brown"
"What were you doing? And what happened after?"
"We were out going to a restaurant for the occasion. We left the restaurant and headed home in Tobi's car-"
"Who was driving? Tobi?"
"No, Josh" I corrected him.
"Did he consume any alcohol? Anything at all?" Josh yelled from across the room.
"Is he seriously trying to blame me for drunk driving!?" He growled.
"No, Josh doesn't drink. It's rare that he ever does" I defended Josh's reputation.
"What happened on the way home?"
"We were driving before we were plummeted into the water. I have no memory of the night further on from that"
"Thank you Vikram, that's all" Lawyer Adam waved to me. The officer pushed me back to my lawyer.
"Good job, it's ok" I let out a shaken breath that I hadn't know that I was keeping in. She pat my head as she stood up.
"The nerve of this guy. Me? Drunk driving!" Josh growled as he took Vivi's seat.
"I mean, he's defending this cruel man. He'll take everything chance he can to prove that he's innocent" Tobi responded.
Josh shook his head "Only if I was alive again, I would hit him so hard"
"Well, your not. So deal with it" I snapped, having enough of his bad attitude. Josh was never like this, he just needs to calm down.
"This is how I cope with it for your information" He sneered.
"Well, deal better"
"Knock it off you two. Focus on the case in front of you" Simon hissed.
"Fine" we grumbled. Their really isn't much left. Both Vivi and Adam gave their closing statements and we waited for the Jury Box to decide if he's guilty or not. They have twelve days, if they don't choose, then we'll have to redo the entire case. I just want this to be over so I'm able to get out of the hospital and I'm able to go home again.
