As Ruby and Yang were sound asleep in their rooms, Summer took a deep breath. She walks to the next room and begins gathering some equipment. As she picks up her Sundered Rose weapon, she turns to face Taiyang who was leading against a table. 

Taiyang: Off on another nighttime mission?

Summer: Yeah. Ozpin wanted me to check out a temple in the outskirts of Vale. 

Taiyang: And if turns out to be yet another wild goose chase?

Summer: You know how Ozpin gets. Mystery after mystery. Leave no stone unturned. 

Taiyang: I know, Summer. I just...get worried as all. 

Summer then walks to Taiyang and places her hand on her husband's shoulders. She offered a comforting smile to her worried husband. 

Summer: I'll be okay, Tai. I won't be gone for too long. 

Taiyang: I know, Summer. Stay safe out there.

The two then warmly hug one another before Summer exits the house. With that, she begins the journey to the outskirts of Vale. Meanwhile deep in a forest in Vale, the former Sith Lord Scourge navigates through the dense forest. It had been centuries since Scourge arrived at Remnant ever since departing from the known Galaxy in search for an unknown threat that came to him in a vision. Since he first arrived at Remnant, Scourge observed the events that has transpired in Remnant. He was aware of the conflict between Ozma and Salem and that it was connected to the great darkness that was looming on Remnant. However, Scourge chose to simply remain in the shadows and observe the conflict. On this particular day, Scourge was in search for anything that could shed light on this mystery darkness. But as he walked through the forest, he felt a shift in the Force. He could feel creatures of darkness nearby. Without hesitation, Scourge pulls out his Lightsaber and ignites it's crimson blade. As if on cue, a horde of Grimm emerged from the forest and surrounded Scourge. 

Scourge: So be it.

Meanwhile, Summer had arrived at the forest and began her search for the Temple Ozpin spoke about. As she walked the dense forest, Summer took a moment to reflect on all that has happened to her. She knew of the threat posed on Remnant. If Salem was left unchecked, then all of Remnant could be thrusted into darkness. Despite the dangers that came with fighting a force of evil like Salem, Summer would do everything in her power to fight that evil. Soon enough, she heard the sound of battle. She rushed to the source of the battle and saw a hooded figure clad in black facing off against an entire horde of Grimm. Without hesitation, Summer jumps into battle and begins firing on the Grimm with the rifle attachment of her weapon. Scourge quickly notices Summer's presence and locks eyes with her for a moment. Scourge says nothing as he continues cutting down the Grimm. When a Grimm was about to ambush Scourge, Summer steps in and decapitates the Grimm with a swing of her weapon. Eventually, the Grimm were wiped out. As Summer took a moment to catch her breath, a Grimm lurked in the shadows, ready to ambush her. Sensing the presence of the Grimm, Scourge reached out with the Force and gripped the Grimm. Scourge then telepathically pulls the Grimm to him. Summer watches in shock as Scourge pulls the Grimm into his hand. He then proceeds to decapitate the beast with a swing of his Lightsaber. As the area was cleared, there was a moment of uneasy silence between the Scourge and Summer. Eventually, Summer speaks. 

Summer: Are you okay? 

Scourge: I am...well. Who are you? 

Summer: My name is Summer Rose and I'm a Huntress. And you are?

Scourge says nothing in response to Summer's question. He simply deactivates his Lightsaber and begins walking away. Curious, Summer tries speaking to Scourge. 

Summer: Wait! It's dangerous to go alone in these parts. Hordes of Grimm roam these woods. 

Scourge: And yet here you are, Huntress. 

Summer: What brings you here, stranger? 

Scourge: Perhaps I should be asking you the same thing. You say this forest should not be travelled alone, and yet here you are without a companion. 

At this point, it became clear to Summer that Scourge was someone that kept to himself. But she quickly noticed that she attracted his curiosity. 

Summer: I'm here on a mission if you should know. I'm here looking for an ancient temple that's located in this area. 

Upon hearing this, Scourge became interested in Summer Rose's mission. His instincts began telling him that the temple Summer was looking for was the object of his current search. 

Scourge: Perhaps fate brought us together, Summer Rose. Perhaps we should join forces in finding this....ancient temple. 

Summer: I could always use another pair of hands. 

Scourge: Indeed. 

As Scourge agreed to join forces with Summer, Summer quickly took note of Scourge's alien appearance. While Scourge's appearance didn't frighten or disgust her, there was something familiar about Scourge. It was as if she had seen someone of his description before. 

Summer: I never did give your name, stranger. I gave you mine. It seems only right if you gave me yours. 

Scourge paused for a moment before relenting. 

Scourge: Scourge. Lord Scourge. 

With that, Scourge and Summer joined forces to find the ancient temple. In that moment, Lord Scourge and Summer Rose had been brought together by the Will of the Force.
