Red's POV:
I frowned at my soup. Was that a tentacle? I thought I saw it move.
But that was just my imagination.
Right?
I shivered and pushed the thought away, forcing myself to eat another spoonful.
How was Daphne already on her third bowl?
Pin must've been having the same thoughts because he wrinkled his nose and pushed the bowl away.
"This meal does not suit my tastes."
"Nothing suits your tastes," Daphne retorted, shoveling more food in her mouth.
I smiled at them happily. My life would be complete when Puckabrina was announced and Pinaphne—Dinocchio?—happened.
Pinocchio kicked Daphne under the table and in response she shoved him so hard he fell out of his chair.
I snorted in laughter and Daphne stuck her tongue out at Pin.
But now Pin got up and shoved her out of her chair, except she managed to pull him down with her and basically the whole thing was a mess.
Both of their chairs had been knocked down and I rolled my eyes, picked up my soup bowl, and went into the kitchen to put it away.
"What's happening in there?" Ember called, raising her eyebrows from her spot on the couch with Puck, Sabrina, and Elvis.
"It's complicated," I answered and headed over to them.
The grown-ups had gone out to try to find more help from other Everafters, so we basically had the house to ourselves.
I wasn't sure if that had been too smart of them, but oh well.
A crash was heard from the dining room and Pin ran out with a terrified look on his face. He hid behind the couch and whispered, "I think she has turned into the Hulk."
"What's the Hulk?" I asked.
Puck opened and closed his mouth, staring at me in shock. "Sweet Jesus," he muttered. "We're introducing you to all that later."
Daphne ran out of the dining room and shouted, "Where is he?! I am going to murDER HIM!"
Pin squeaked in fear and I reached behind the couch to pat his head.
He pushed my hand away from his hair, glaring.
I smiled.
We all froze when we heard the various locks on the front door unlocking.
Daphne and Pin rushed to the couch, sitting down as if they'd been there the whole time just as Veronica Grimm burst through the door.
"I forgot my phone," she explained.
I got a bad feeling. She'd left her phone on the kitchen counter, and the dining room was visible from there.
Daphne and Pinocchio cringed when we heard a surprised shout come from the kitchen.
Veronica stormed out. "Care to explain about the dining room?" she demanded.
Pin and Daphne asked simultaneously, "What dining room?"
Veronica rolled her eyes. "You'll be in trouble later," she muttered and rushed back out the door, telling us to lock it behind her.
Sabrina got up to do so and Puck took the chance to turn on the TV.
He automatically started playing Supernatural and Daphne said, "Yeah, I'm out. Red, you don't wanna watch this."
"Why not?" I asked, confused.
"Yeah, why not?" Pin asked.
"Because it's creepy!"
I frowned. "I've seen IT. And I wanna see what this is."
"Me too," Pinocchio agreed.
Daphne huffed. "Whatever. Don't say I didn't warn you."
Sabrina came back and glared at Puck. "I told you not to play it, especially not when there are little kids here!"
"I'll be ten soon!" Daphne exclaimed indignantly.
"I know more than all of you combined," Pinocchio added.
"I'm very, very old," was all I said.
"Whatever." Sabrina said. "Fine. Play...the least scariest episode," she told Puck.
"They're not scary," he complained.
"Then why'd you scream when we watched Bloody Mary?"
"That was Season One! We're on Season Thirteen now!"
"When was all this?" Daphne asked.
Puck and Sabrina blushed.
"Looks like you spend more time together than we thought," I said, grinning.
Sabrina rolled her eyes. "Shut up. Puck, play an episode from the happy season where Sam is still a happy little moose."
He nodded. "'Kay. How about Bugs?"
"Oh yeah, that one will be fine."
We all sat silently as it starting playing. As soon as Sam and Dean appeared onscreen, Puck and Sabrina gasped simultaneously.
"His hair," Puck said.
"It's so short," Sabrina marveled.
I raised an eyebrow at them, having no idea what they meant.
That is, until Puck showed me a comparison of Sam's hair in Season One versus in Season Thirteen.
I gasped. "You're right."
Daphne rolled her eyes. "Guys, don't infect her mind with Supernatural."
"Don't you mean Not Natural?" Puck asked. Sabrina laughed and they high-fived each other. Daphne rolled her eyes again.
Daphne, Pin, and I decided to go upstairs while Puck and Sabrina introduced Ember to the wonder of Netflix.
By now Pin's adjoining room was finished and I flung open the door and ran into it, flopping down onto the bed.
"Hey!" Pin exclaimed. "That's my bed!"
"So?" I asked. "It's not like you're sleeping in it currently."
He glared at me and crossed his arms.
"I still don't understand why he needs an adjoining room to ours," Daphne complained to me.
I smiled at her. "It's fate."
"Yeah," she muttered, "right."
"I now understand why you 'ship' 'Puckabrina,'" Pin interjected, making air quotes for the two words.
I nodded, but Daphne said, "If you're so all knowing, why are you using air quotes on ship and Puckabrina?"
He frowned at her. "I did not waste my knowledge on such frivolous things. Although now it's quite entertaining."
"Stop talking like an old man," Daphne groaned.
"What do you mean?"
"Talk like a normal person! Like I talk! Like Sabrina and Puck talk! How everyone talks!"
He scrunched his eyebrows together in concentration, then said, "Fiiiiiine. Everyone around me's so stupid and you have a problem."
I rolled my eyes, but Daphne nodded thoughtfully and said, "Could use a little work, but you're getting there."
Pin looked at her in confusion then shrugged.
"Does that mean you'll be giving him private lessons?" I asked.
Daphne's eyes met mine in such an evil gaze that I cringed away.
"I do not understand why you are so angry about private lessons," Pin mused.
Daphne ground out, "Talk. Normal."
"I don't understand why you're so angry about private lessons."
"Eh."
I just shook my head and called out for Elvis. He came charging into the room and onto the bed, licking my face.
I knew he had a question.
I could see it in his eyes.
It was there, plain as day.
Just waiting to be answered.
Sausage?
