Chapter 28
A/N:
Hahahahaha I just love cliffhangers!! (Only when I write them, though.) :) Anyway, I've been reading these Hamilton fanfics and they're really good. So yeah, thought I'd share that random fact. On with the chappie!

Red's POV:
I was woken up by a scream. I started awake and quickly got out of bed—the super comfy bed that I really didn't want to leave. I accidentally kicked Elvis in the side as I got out and he raised his head from his spot on my super, super comfy bed and whined.
"Sorry," I told him, smiling apologetically. "What time is it anyway?"
Elvis looked at me like, How would I know?
I glanced at the new red digital watch on my wrist.
4:17 AM
I wrinkled my nose. "Wonderful. Who's screaming at this time?"
I already knew it wasn't a scream of someone being attacked, it was probably Daphne screaming about something stupid. I decided to go check it out.
I tiptoed out of my room as Elvis put his head back down and went back to sleep. I made sure to be quiet, even though everyone was probably awake because of Daphne screaming.
But, surprisingly, when I walked out into the hall, I could hear snores coming from several more rooms. I shook my head in confusion. Was I the only light sleeper?
I sighed and made my way to Daphne's room, then opened the door. "What's wrong?" I mumbled, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
She looked at me in a panic, her own eyes wide. Her mouth moved, but no words came out. Her hair was crumpled and messy.
I started hyperventilating, knowing that if Daphne was this serious, then something really, really bad had happened.
"What's wrong?" I asked again.
She was finally able to form words. "I...I... Where's Celeste?!"
My jaw dropped, realizing that the small alicorn necklace wasn't around her neck. Daphne was crying now.
"Oh no...this isn't good!" I exclaimed, stating the obvious.
"I know!"
"Maybe you lost it in the bedcovers?" I asked, frantically searching the room for the slight glow of the alicorn figurine.
"No I didn't! It can't come off my neck unless Celeste lets the person or thing take it off!"
"Then...who would she have trusted so much to let them take her?" I wondered.
"I don't know!" Daphne cried.
"I'll go tell everyone else," I said, but she stopped me.
"No, we're not waking them up at 4:00 AM for something that might be a false alarm...I hope."
"Okay..." I said skeptically. "But if this gets serious, then we're waking them up."
Daphne agreed and we kept searching.
The White Rabbit's POV:
I narrowed my eyes and peered through the bushes. I felt the steady ticking of the pocketwatch at my side. And a twig snapped.
I dared not move. I could sense the bandersnatch only a few feet away. My paw found its way to the pocketwatch, and clutched it.
"Please," I whispered. "What was seen is unseen, what was sensed becomes senseless. What was bone is bending, what was fur is air."
Of course, the spell was changed a bit for me, since others didn't have fur.
The bandersnatch kept walking. I breathed out a small sigh of relief. Thank you, Analia, for teaching me that.
"Well, well, well," said a familiar voice, with a mad giggle. "White's finally taken up the use of magic."
I clenched my teeth and ignored Cat.
"Aww...now he's not talking to me." Cat's voice was sad but I knew he was still grinning widely.
"This isn't the time," I muttered, through gritted teeth.
"What? Trying to spy on the Red Roses again?"
"Yes. Now leave me alone."
"Well, I never," Cat said in a mocking tone, laughing.
My ears perked up. "Cat!" I whisper-shouted. "Shut up! Someone's coming."
That actually shut him up and we both watched, invisibly, as a pair of legs rounded the corner of the bush I was hiding behind. I looked up, and what I saw terrified me.
Daphne's POV:
We kept searching and searching for Celeste, but no luck.
"No," I said. "She can't be gone!"
Red looked at me sympathetically. "Daphne, we have to tell the others."
"No! I know I can find her!"
"Daphne..."
"No!" I snapped, taking Red by surprise. She shrank back.
"I...I'm sorry," I said with a sigh. "I just don't know what to do..."
"What is going on in here?" a voice asked.
I groaned. "Just what I needed..." I muttered.
Red grinned. "Actually, Pin, we need some help."
Pinocchio glared at her. "You may not call me Pin."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I don't remember asking your permission. Daphne said it was a nice nickname," Red said, smirking at me.
"What?! No, I–I didn't!" I exclaimed, giving her the evil eye.
"Whatever," Pinocchio said, but he didn't complain any more. "What do you need help with?" He glanced behind him, into the hall. "Um, am I the only light sleeper here?"
"Exactly!" Red cried. She turned to me. "Daphne, I'm getting to know your boyfriend!"
I literally growled at her and turned away, not willing to look at either of them.
"I think you are mistak—" Pinocchio started to say to Red, but she held up a finger and shushed him.
"I'm not mistaken," she promised, and I rolled my eyes. "Anyway, we can't find Celeste."
"Celeste?"
"Oh, right. We never told you about her."
Puck's POV:
I moved back as the portal grew larger, the swirling blue and purple making me dizzy. It spun faster and faster and faster, until someone flew out of it and landed in front of me.
The portal disappeared without a sound.
"S...Sabrina?"
The word echoed around the cell, louder than I would've liked, but that didn't matter right now.
And it was Sabrina. She got up slowly and looked at me. We stood there for a couple moments, not having any idea what to do. Then she hugged me so tightly that I almost felt the air come out of my lungs. I ignored the fierce pain and hugged her back because she was here. Sabrina was here! Wait...she was here?
I pulled away. "Why...why are you here?" I knew there were tears streaming down my face but I didn't bother to wipe them away.
She was also crying, and she exclaimed, "I wasn't sure if it would work! But it did! I'm so glad I finally found you!"
"What worked?"
But she was too excited to explain and hugged me again.
"You have no idea how much everyone missed you," she said quietly, her face buried in my shoulder.
"Even Henry?" I asked, laughing a little.
"In his own way."
"Sure."
She pulled away and looked me in the eyes. "Puck, I'm serious."
"Yeah, okay." I glanced around nervously, feeling as if we were being watched. A fly flew around somewhere in the cell, buzzing incessantly.
"Look, you shouldn't be here," I said.
"I know. That's why we're leaving the same way I came here."
"And how is that?"
Sabrina explained about Celeste.
"Henry probably doesn't want me back there, though."
She glared at me. "Stop saying that! We all care about you!"
I smirked, but I knew I was blushing. "So we're doing this again?"
She looked at me, confused. Then she realized what I meant. "Oh." She smiled nervously. "Yeah. Yeah, I guess we are."
We were nose-to-nose now.
"For real this time?" I asked.
She nodded. "For real."
Then I leaned in and kissed her.
