Narcissa

Narcissa changed very little during her life.

She was always the baby, the beauty, and the Pureblood Princess. Even at Hogwarts, she had boys falling all over her. Except one.

One Slytherin who was always glaring from the shadows, who seemed to hate everything she did. Nothin she did was ever good enough for Lucius Malfoy, and it drove her crazy, because he was the only one she really did care about.

She slipped him a love potion once, and nothing happened. She had no idea what he had done to counteract this, since she was top of the class in Potions, and there was absolutely no disturbance following that that could have suggested he sought help and took the antidote.

"Just forget it, Cissy." Andromeda told her in the Library.

"He's not worth it." Bellatrix said later in the Common Room.

In response to both of them, Narcissa had said, "You're wrong."

Because he was worth it to her, and she couldn't forget him without an Obliviation.

A few days before the Christmas, she had opted to stay at Hogwarts with her sisters, though she did go down to Hogsmeade with Michael Bays a few times. She was heading down to meet him in the Three Broomsticks when an arm snaked out and pulled her into behind a wall just outside the school gates.

Her mouth was covered by this mystery assailant, who had positioned her so that she was in front of them, and her pulse quickened. Where was a teacher when you needed one?!

"I'm going to take my hands away. Don't scream." She heard Lucius say.

She whirled around. "Lucius Malfoy, what is the meaning of this?" She hissed.

"Give me a minute and I'll tell you." He snapped.

"Give you a...! You kidnapped me! Why couldn't you have just told me your latest insult in the Common Room as usual? I'm going to be late!"

"Late for what?" He asked, seemingly interested.

"It may interest you to know I have a date with Michael Bays at the Three Broomsticks soon, and if I do not make it, he will be worried." She said, adjusting her winter cloak.

"Oh, well, we can't have her Highness be late." He said sarcastically.

"There, you see! Now, would it have been so hard to just say that in the Common Room, and not abduct me?" She hissed.

"Oh that? That wasn't what I wanted to say." He answered.

Her heart filled with dread. She had heard him with enemies before, and knew where this could be headed.

"Look, I don't have time-"

"I love you."

She stopped and turned slowly. "You what?" She breathed.

"I love you. I always have, Narcissa." He said, shifting from one foot to another.

Any other out-of-the-blue declarations were cut off by Narcissa pulling him into a long kiss.

"I love you too." She said, smiling at him happily before he pulled her into another kiss.
