The story begins in Salt Lake City, Utah. Teenagers were enjoying their last week of summer before school started again. Everything seemed normal, until Dallon Weekes moved into town. No one questioned it at the time, but one day, they would wonder why they never did.
Dallon didn't want to start a new school. He was happy at his other school. He had friends, he was well adjusted, he wasn't the outsider. He was quiet, yes, but no one really thought too much about it, including Dallon. He just liked to keep to himself. What was wrong with that?
"Mom, you don't have to walk me in." His mom shook her head and grabbed her purse. "I want to make sure the principal is nice and that you get to class safely." Dallon rolled his eyes and grabbed his backpack. "Nothing bad is gonna happen to me." His mom didn't answer, just got out of the car, waiting for Dallon to follow. He sighed and got out of the car.
"This is your schedule, Mr.Weekes. If you have any questions, let me know." He nodded, but kept his head down. "What do you say, Dallon?" He looked up at his mom and sighed. He looked at the principal and mumbled a "thank you." He knew he was being rude, but he didn't care. He didn't want to be there, so he wasn't going to act like he was.
"You're new?" He sat at the end of a lunch table. A girl with brown hair and blonde-ish highlights sat across from him. "Yeah. Why do you care?" She shrugged. "You looked lonely. I'm Breezy." He looked at her hand, which she had held out for him to shake. He sighed and shook it. "Dallon." She smiled. Can she not take a hint? Dallon was about to say something when a man with brown hair and dark brown eyes walked up to Breezy. "Hey Breeze. Who's your friend?" Dallon couldn't help but stare at the boy. He looked so.. perfect? He didn't know how to explain it. "This is Dallon. He's new." The boy smiled. It was the most beautiful smile he'd seen in a while. "Hi Dallon. I'm Brendon." He held out his hand. Dallon just stared at it for a few seconds before realizing how weird that probably was. He finally shook his hand. "N-nice to meet you." He waved and started to walk away. "You crushing on him?" Dallon snapped out of his trance and looked at Breezy. "W-What? No!" Well that was really obvious. She laughed and looked behind her. "He's gay, just so you know." Dallon smiled as Breezy laughed again.
Why do I feel like this? I don't even know him well. I just think he's cute, that's all. Maybe I should get to know him better, though.

A/N: ah, Valentine's Day. The perfect day to start this fanfic.
"Warning": this fanfic might have slower updates. At the time of publishing this, my two other books are currently on hold until I finish them or get enough drafts to post more frequently in the future. The same goes with this story. I will hopefully be back to my normal posting schedule at least by March.
Thank you for following along.
