Lola was walking back from the evening feast in the great hall, she walked down the corridors hoping to get a good nights sleep, for once
Professor Snape approached her and asked her for a word, and for the first time ever she nodded and followed him to the dungeons.
"Miss Scott, that night when I spoke to you by the black lake I wasn't being entirely honest with you" He told her openly.

she looked at him "what do you mean? About what?" She asked hesitantly
"I was there a lot longer than a few seconds" he admitted guiltily
Finally she clocked what he meant and felt her cheeks redden, she looked down at the floor wishing it would open up and swallow her.

"You have a beautiful singing voice" he smiled shyly. Desperately wanting her to say something
She gave a small smile and sighed. "You seemed to really feel every word, they were quite sad songs"
Lola looked up at him, "I feel what I create, and I create what I feel" she said quite poetically
"You composed those songs yourself?" He asked in utter disbelief
"Yes, why are we talking about all of this anyway?" She rolled her eyes, her face returning to its usual scowl. "I was only interested Miss Scott" he reassured her, he knew she hated being pressed on matters.

"If you must know the truth, I'm going through something at the moment that's really ripping away at me, and I find relief in composing and expressing feelings through song"
She had actually opened up, Severus couldn't believe it, he was finally learning more about her
"Care to tell me what is troubling you so much?" Severus gave a small smile and tilted his head
"No, I... I don't know?" She chuckled at her own indecisiveness.
"Well, maybe we could go for a walk and if you wish to talk you can, and if you don't want to you can just moan as usual?" He joked, he even had a glint in his dark eyes

"Ok, why not" Lola said heading towards the door...she turned back to see he was on her heels and he led her out of the castle. "Astronomy Tower?" Severus suggested
"I've never been there" she grinned and Severus couldn't help but beam, her smile lit up the dark night, he had never seen her smile in such a way before
Once they arrived at the astronomy tower, Lola rushed to the balcony edge
"It's beautiful, the view I mean" she sighed taking it all in
"Indeed it is Miss Scott" Severus smiled, he used his wand to make a bench appear and they sat down. "You can tell me what's on your mind if you'd like" he soothed

"His name is Callum, we could have had everything, he knew how much I loved him and I thought he loved me too, he promised me forever but it was lies. We had one stupid argument and he told me he hated me, that he never loved me."
Severus understood how she felt, a pain he still carried. "I know exactly how you feel, I have been there. Please don't let it make you bitter like me Miss Scott, do not let your love for him destroy you" he told her calmly, he looked down and noticed his hand was on top of hers, he pulled away.

She pushed hers back on top of his Severus was surprised by this, but didn't pull away. Lola turned to him "Will this ever heal?"
She asked with desperation in her voice. "I will personally make sure that it does, I promise"
He looked into her eyes and got lost for a moment.
"Can we talk again?" She asked with a smile. "I'm here day or night, but right now we should probably go back to the castle."
