It was a few days later and Severus watched the girl leaving the castle as she always did.
And he silently followed her as he always did, he hadn't missed one night of her pained singing
He'd return to his quarters after and shed a tear for Lily
Although he never approached her again, he remained a secret listener

He followed her to the black lake again and stood in the shadows to listen to her
He shuddered at the sound of her voice. 'I have to get to the bottom of this' he thought to himself. He was going out of his mind with worry, he realised that he was in love with her
Severus watched as she went back to the castle after sitting in silence for over an hour occasionally singing. He wasn't far behind her and she grew suspicious
She turned thinking someone was behind her but he hid around the corner
Lola made her way to the Slytherin dorms to sleep

Severus was awake all night, he longed to hear her sing to him. He longed to hold her close to him. The thought of kissing her crossed his mind and sent him into a sweat
He got up from his bed around 4am and decided to knock back a few fire whiskeys'
'I've got to get this girl out of my head' he thought '7th year or not 7th year' he sighed
He sat down in an armchair and took a swig from his glass tumbler he threw his head back and closed his eyes, all he could see was her.

After an hour he was very intoxicated and slumped onto his bed, he passed out and began to snore. Alcohol did that to him.
He was so pleased he didn't have to get up early as it was a Saturday, besides he could get breakfast from a house elf

Lola was confused when he didn't turn up to the great hall, but she didn't really think too much about it. She was more excited about going to watch the Slytherin Vs Hufflepuff quiddich game.
After she finished her food she took herself down to the quiddich pitch with Blaise to find herself a good seat, she wasn't the sporty type herself but she enjoyed watching

When he finally got up and out of his pit. Severus went to the quiddich field and saw Lola was there, he thought it a great opportunity and turned on his heels heading back into the castle in a flash. He ran down the stairs into the dungeons and entered the Slytherin Common Room
There was nobody there, and he was pleased. He snuck into the girls dormitory and searched the room for signs of Lola, he finally found her bed and raided the trunk beside it

'I should not be doing this' he sighed as he rummaged though it, he found a photograph and pulled it out of the trunk, it had dried tear stains on it.
'It's the photo from that night' he thought to himself.
Lola was sat on some grass with a boy next to her, he must have been around 16 or 17 like her. his right arm around her shoulder
She was looking at him with love in her eyes and he was laughing happily at the camera
What shocked Severus the most was the Boys appearance
Long black hair, dark eyes and a sallow complexion...

Severus put the photo back as he found it and exited the dormitory as fast as he could
He went back to his quarters to think it over, 'is this the boy she sings about?' He wondered
