Severus kept Lola behind after class. "Lola, I need to talk to you, I need to make this right" he said sadly, looking up at her in desperation. "There's nothing to talk about Severus you made your feelings very clear" she spat. "My love, please all I ask is that you hear me out..." He asked placing a hand on her arm. "Fine, I will listen to what you have to say but that doesn't mean it's going to change anything!" She told him coolly.

"Lola, I'm sorry it's just that I was so jealous of Callum, I knew how you felt for him before... I listened to your heartbroken voice remember? When I told you that I loved someone long before I met you, well Callum has brought all those feelings back" he sighed with pain in his deep onyx eyes. "You really need to understand me Severus, I did love him and he hurt me. I still care but only because healing takes time. I have no interest in getting back with him, but I also don't plan to get back with you! You have hurt me at a time when I've been at my most fragile."

Severus looked into her eyes, he ached deep inside his heart at the thought of her never taking him back. "Lola, I ask only for another chance. I promise you I will not hurt you again" he pleaded. "I don't know....." She said feeling confused. "I know you love me, And I know you want me to trust you.... I heard you last night"
"You always do seem to be listening in" Lola smirked and gave a small forced laugh
"Because I love you Lola Scott, I love you so much. And I love listening to you sing"

Lola felt a wave of shock hit her, it smacked her in the face like a boxers punch.
He actually said it, he really did love her. She swallowed as she tried to process it all..
"Severus, I need to think about this.... I just need time" she smiled at him, he could see the love was still there in her big sparkly eyes. He knew that he needed to give her space, time to think it through. He desperately wanted to kiss her but he knew it wasn't the time, so he just smiled at her and nodded in understanding.

Lola smiled back and turned to leave, she walked toward the door and opened it.
Stopping as she walked through the doorway. "Severus...." She croaked in a sad tone.
"Yes?" He asked with his ears pricking up as he heard her call his name.
"Learn to trust" was all she said as she closed the door behind her...

Severus sat and pondered the conversation in his head, he had to prepare for the class that came in after lunch, but he decided to just wing it because he was starving.
