77. Déjà vu
It was the last weekend of half term and this time Russel and Noodle actually bothered to text 2d asking if they could come over. He agreed, and after an hour of persuasion, so did Murdoc.
Murdoc basically spent this last week living at 2d's house, nowhere near willing to go back to his own place. They say that home is where the heart is, and Murdoc's heart was long since stolen by 2d.
Russel and Noodle were due to come in at around two pm, but before that happened Murdoc had some plans... He set everything up so that both their phones would have been off as to not disturb them, and then brought 2d onto the couch, right where he wanted him.
"How about you ride me, huh? Baby boy..." Murdoc asked after just enough making out to get get 2d hard and vulnerable.
"Mhm." 2d just nodded, blushing, and was quick to climb on top of Murdoc, hurriedly kissing again. They went slower than usual, just enjoying themselves and having fun. Soon, however, the doorbell rung and cut their fun short. "Oh..." 2d sat up, still straddling Murdoc, and looked towards the door. "It must be Russel and Noodle..." As a response, Murdoc grabbed 2d's face and pulled him right back down to meet his lips again, which 2d resisted, though with not much luck. "Hey, what are you doing?? Russ and Noodz are here!" 2d furrowed his eyebrows down at Murdoc once he finally managed to pry himself away.
"And?" Murdoc replied, with his usual cocky and careless demeanour. "It's not like they know we're here, we can make them wait." Murdoc once again grabbed 2d's face, this time more harshly and with both hands. "And if I'm lucky, they'll just leave~." Murdoc smirked.
"But you promised me to hang out with them! And I'm pretty sure they've seen your car!" 2d pouted, but it was really hard to resist a force as strong as Murdoc, and he soon gave in to the sex god bellow him, once again deep in the kiss.
-
"Gosh, what's taking them so long?" Noodle huffed, placing both her hands on her waist. "We know they're in there!" Russel didn't reply immediately, instead, he held onto his head and sighed tiredly as he sat down on the front doorstep. "Hey Russ, you ok?" Noodle curiously wondered up to him, looking worried.
"I'm fine Noodz, just this bloody headache from the morning getting worse." Russel admitted, closing his eyes and breathing deeply.
"Are you going to be ok? Maybe I should ask Touchie if he's got some painkillers?" Noodle suggested, to which Russel just shook his head.
"You could ring that doorbell a thousand times, but if he's in there with Murdoc, which we know he is, doing god knows what, then that door won't open." Russel calmly explained, but by just looking at his face Noodle could tell that he was getting worse.
"Is it... that...?" She wearily asked, knowing that it was a sensitive subject to Russel.
"Yeah... But I don't know why it's happening today out of all days." Russel once again sighed deeply and then leaned back on the door, resting his head on it with eyes closed.
"Is there any way I could help..?" Noodle just about whispered.
"No..." and that was the last word Russel said before they fell into a very uncomfortable silence. Noodle stood there, somehow suddenly feeling alone, and gulped. The street was eerily quiet now, Noodle noticed, and a cold wind could be felt rushing through it. Noodle shivered and grabbed her forearms, looking back at Russel.
"Russ..?" She delicately asked. "You still there...?" Everything got just a bit darker as the sun was covered by dark grey clouds. "Russ..??"
"Russ's asleep, little girl." A deep voice from behind her made Noodle jump and swear in Japanese, before recollecting herself and swearing in English.
"What the actual fuck Del?!" The blue-tinted ghost smirked down at her, mischievous as ever. "You didn't have to scare me like that!"
"Ay, sorry little Noodz." He reached down and ruffled Noodles hair, making it messy. "Though I did finally manage to scare ya! Del: 1, Noodle: 24. See? I'm catching up to ya, I'm getting good at this ghosting game." Noodle sighed, looking back at Russel and then back up at Del.
"Are you sure Russ is going to be ok?" She asked.
"Yeah, yeah. Always is. You've seen this happen a few times by now, haven't you? And he's always been alright, so you don't have to worry." Del reassured her. "Anyway, what is this place?"
"Touchie's house." Noodle replied.
"Ah, the gay one." Del nodded to himself. "Wait, aren't both of them gay?"
"We don't actually know." Noodle grimaced. "But both of them are inside, and that's why we can't get in."
"What, have they barricaded themselves in?" Del asked, tilting his head and looking at the house.
"No." Noodle sighed. "Though it would've been easier if they had. Murdoc's so possessive of Touchie, he probably doesn't want to let us in, and it doesn't even matter how many times we ring the doorbell!"
"D'you want me to scan the area?" Del suggested.
"Scan the area?" Noodle repeated after him.
"Well, I'm a ghost so I can just march straight in and see what's going on in there."
"Great idea, Del!!" Noodles face lit up as she pointed a huge thumbs up at him. "You should totally do that! You'd be like a secret spy! A ninja!" She cheered, making Del laugh.
"Ok, well, let me see what I can do." Del swiftly moved towards the door and right through it, leaving Noodle, once again, alone outside. He wondered through the hall and turned at the first open door to the living room. "Woah there." He commented, being tall enough to see what was going on on the couch from the doorway. Confused and panicked, 2d looked up. His eyes widened seeing the intruder and he screamed, so scared he fell off the couch.
"What? What's going on?" Murdoc sat up, also having heard the voice and scared by 2d's reaction. He looked over the back of the couch to see a luminescent figure standing in the doorway. "What the fuck?! Who are you??"
"Oh." Del sighed lightly, chuckling to himself. I shouldn't be surprised when people get scared of me anymore. He thought. "I'm Del, Russ' best friend. And you are 2d and Murdoc, I presume. I've been hearing a lot about you two." The two boys were speechless, but also quick to notice the weird blue glow emanating from the stranger. Seeing the silence, Del decided to speak again, making some small talk. "Doing some casual stuff with your homie I see? That's cool, that's cool." He commented. He came off as really chill, and despite the fact that 2d and Murdoc were still fully clothed, it was obvious what was going on.
"How the fuck did you get in here..?" Murdoc was the first to speak up, looking at Del like he'd just seen a ghost, without being aware that he actually had.
"Through the door." Del shrugged, casually looking around the living room.
"What??" 2d continued to stare at him in bewilderment, still on the floor.
"I'm a ghost, my dudes." Del chuckled, making 2d almost faint. Murdoc, on the other hand had a slightly different reaction.
"Woah, really??" His eyes widened in excitement.
"Yeah, I used to have a life, used to bang out rapping and shit-" Del elaborated, reminiscing the past he could barely remember.
"Rapping??" Murdoc cut in, his face lit up even more. 2d noticed this, but didn't necessarily like where it was going.
"Yeah, good old times.." Del smiled to himself.
"D'you miss it?" Murdoc asked, as if the answer wasn't already obvious.
"Definitely do."
"Y'know, we've got a band, 2d and I, and we've been looking for a rapper for a while. Y'know, if you could get Russel and Noodle to join us we'd have a complete band. How cool would that be?" Murdoc suggested, picking his words carefully to persuade the ghost.
"I don't know man." Del responded. "Wasn't the whole reason they left because you were being a total shithead?"
"No, they simply found out that I used to be a shithead. I've changed. Right dents?" Murdoc now turned to 2d for support, who could only manage a light bewildered nod. "I'll have 2d drop you some lyrics tomorrow." Murdoc continued speaking. "See how you like them and consider it."
"Alright, anyway." Del decided to change the subject, seeing as joining a band behind his best friends back wasn't the nicest thing to do. "I had a job, Russ and Noodz wanna hang out with you."
"Oh, for fucks sake..." Murdoc rolled his eyes with a heavy sigh, reminded of the tedious two.
"If you want me to consider the band, you gotta be nice to them." Del crossed his arms. "And stop hogging 2d all to yourself, he's their friend too."
"Fine..." Murdoc agreed, though he sounded annoyed. Satisfied with the result, Del was about to leave, but stopped himself.
"I understand that it would be hard to tell them that you two have a thing, but don't you think it would make things easier? Especially when trying to show them your not so bad? Besides, it's not easy to believe you're a good person when you're clearly cheating on that singer guy with 2d..."
2d and Murdoc were speechless, shocked that anyone could ever come to such a stupid conclusion. I guess that's what I get for lying to them. Murdoc thought. Del disappeared before they could explain the situation further, so the only thing left to do was to hang out with Russel and Noodle as promised.
Russel took a place on a grand arm chair, and Noodle picked a spot on the floor with her back to the tv. Murdoc and 2d we're together on the couch (obviously). No matter what topic the four talked about, Murdoc always somehow managed to bring it back to talking about joining the band.
"Murdoc, man." Russel sighed, tired of hearing the constant bullshit about the band. "How can we join the band if we don't even know the singers name?"
"Ooh!" Noodle piped up, excitedly. "By the way, how are things with him??" She wriggled her eyebrows. 2d blushed at that, a bit surprised by how outgoing Noodle was.
"Good." Murdocs reply was short. He took a sip of his drink and then leaned back on the sofa, hands behind his head. "His name is Stuart Pot." 2d gulped at the reveal, but to his surprise there was no reaction.
"We've got no idea who that is." Russel shook his head, deeming this information useless.
"What? Really??" 2d leaned forward in his seat, eyebrows high in disbelief.
"Wow, some friends you are..." Murdoc chuckled to himself. 2d was honestly taken aback by how they don't even know his real name. All the while Russel and Noodle didn't have a clue what the problem was.
"So." Murdoc spike up again. "Are ya gonna join now?"
"We'll think about it..." Russel sighed.

The rest of their stay at 2d's house went by relatively normaly, with a few comments from Murdoc here and there about the band. What Russel and Noodle also noticed, was that Murdoc would sometimes subtly flirt with 2d, and it was begging to be come easier to notice. On their way back home, Noodle finally made a realisation.
"Wait... wasn't 2d's surname Pot?" She asked, looking up at Russel.
"No. No stop. If Murdoc is cheating on Stuart with his own brother, then that would be completely messed up... but it does explain why both families have lasagna Thursday... and why 2d knew all about the argument Murdoc had with Stuart that one time... but why would he agree to cheat with his own brothers boyfriend...?" They looked at each other, walking in silence.
"Maybe it's just a coincidence they've got the same surname?" Noodle suggested, looking straight ahead of her to drop the topic. "Maybe Murdoc Just has a thing for guys named Pot."
An update schedule? What's that? Also, I've got no idea how close we are to the end, but not that close.
