46. Knocked out
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
2d's bag dropped onto the gravel as he was put down. He leaned on the car, trying not to fall over. The fever clearly got worse. He wasn't fully aware of what was going on, all he knew was that Murdoc was taking him home.
In that feverish state of mind all he could think of was Murdoc. The bluenette concentrated on his every move. He watched as Murdoc opened the cars trunk and threw their bags inside. The sound of the trunk being closed was looping through his mind as he tried to understand what it meant. He watched Murdoc come up to him and wipe away some tears that he didn't even know were streaming down his face. Then Murdoc opened his mouth to speak, but all 2d heard was a sound, not understanding a thing.
"Wha?" He mumbled, everything seemed to be moving. Murdoc spoke again. "I can't... I.. don't know...?" It took 2d a moment to realise that Murdoc was now holding him by the shoulders to steady him.
"Let's. Go. Home." The words stuck in the bluenette's head as he tried to think of a reply. His mind was working very slowly.
Murdoc sighed and moved him away from the car in order to open the doors to the passengers seat. He sat the woozy bluenette down and buckled him in. 2d didn't seem to really know what was going on, so he didn't struggle as much. He probably thought that he was just sitting down.
As soon as Murdoc closed the doors 2d leaned his head on the window. A few seconds later Murdoc was sitting inside the car too and started driving. Luckily, the journey was uneventful, and 2d even fell asleep halfway through.
By the time they got home 2d was completely knocked out. Murdoc sighed and got out of the car. He opened the front door to 2d's house and then proceeded to retrieve the bluenette from the car. He carried 2d upstairs and sat him down on his bed. He took 2d's shoes off, along with any excess clothing, and tucked him into bed.
Once that was done Murdoc returned downstairs to get their bags and close the front door. The bags were thrown somewhere as Murdoc went into the kitchen. He made some peppermint tea and added a bit of cold water to make it drinkable, and took some pills for 2d. Did he eat anything? He shouldn't be taking pills on an empty stomach, it might make him sick... And so Murdoc decided to make the bluenette a sandwich.
A few minutes passed and Murdoc returned upstairs with everything he prepared. He lay the items down on 2d's bedside table and knelt down next to the bed. A hand was lightly placed on 2d's shoulder as Murdoc tried to wake him up.
"Hey, 2d..." He spoke delicately. "Wake up... you need to take some pills..."
"Huh...?" 2d's black eyes opened ever so slightly.
"Come on," Murdoc stood up. "I made you a sandwich and some tea." Murdoc tried lifting 2d up into a sitting position by the shoulders.
"Uhh..." 2d groaned. When he finally sat up Murdoc handed him the sandwich. 2d looked at it for a moment, not knowing what to do with it. Murdoc sat down beside him and helped him eat. It took some time, but in the end half of the sandwich was gone, along with half of the tea and all the pills. "Mudz..." 2d decided to speak up. Murdoc looked at him. "My tummy hurts..."
"It's going to stop soon." Murdoc pat his hair and was about to stand up to take the dishes downstairs, but 2d's grip on his wrist stopped him.
"No! Don't!" The bluenette protested.
"What...?"
"Stay with me..." Murdoc sighed and sat back down, his back rested on the headboard. 2d crawled up to him and cuddled into his torso, smiling. Murdoc took the duvet and covered the bluenette, he started petting 2d's hair as he took his phone out to keep himself busy.
It would definitely be a few hours before 2d moved again. While cuddled into Murdoc's warm body, he was in a position in which he didn't feel dizzy anymore. It was just right, he wouldn't be comfortable any other way.

When it started getting late, and 2d stopped waking up every few minutes, Murdoc decided that it was time to go home. He was reluctant to leave the bluenette all by himself, but soon heard 2d's mom walking through the front door. He gathered his stuff and went to greet her.
"Good evening, ms Tusspot." Murdoc always tried to be nice to her since he wanted her to like him, and agree to his relationship with her son.
"Murdoc why are you still here?" She asked, tired. It was clear that she still had some doubts about them spending too much time together.
"Stuart has a fever. He vomited in the morning and fainted in school, so I took him home and took care of him." He watched concern grow on her face, along with a bit of surprise.
"You did? Is he ok??" She questioned.
"I think he's going to be fine, I gave him some pills, but I don't think it's a good idea for him to go to school tomorrow." Murdoc suggested, already planning to come over the next day. It didn't matter that 2d would have been asleep most of the time, what mattered was spending time together.
"Yes..." 2d's mother agreed. "But I doubt I'll be able to take a day off of work tomorrow..."
"Hey, it's ok." Murdoc tried to cheer her up. "He's going to be asleep most of the day. Besides, tomorrow's Thursday so you come back early anyway."
"Yes... I suppose.." 2d's mother looked down, not too happy about not being able to be there for her son.
"It's ok, this isn't the first time he's been ill after all, right?"
"Yeah..." She looked up at him. "Thanks for taking care of Stuart."
"It's ok, that's what friends are for, right?" Murdoc showed hints of a smile. "Anyway, I think I better get home. See you tomorrow ms Tusspot." And with that, Murdoc made a swift exit. 2d's mother was truly amazed by how close the two boys got. A few months ago she would have never believed it if someone told her that Murdoc, the boy who ruined her sons life, would go to such measures to make sure he's ok.
