33. Grounded

(Guess who drew that)

It was dark and really late. 2d's mother was exhausted from work and expected to be able to come back home and rest, but she knew this wasn't going to happen the moment she saw Murdoc's car in the driveway.

Why is he still here? She thought to herself as she parked her car in a way so that Murdoc wouldn't have trouble driving away later. She sighed and got out of the car.

As she made her way towards the house she realised that all the lights were off. That's weird... She stepped into the house and was immediately hit by the deafening silence. Are they not home?? I should be able to hear the tv on, or at least chatter! Maybe Murdoc just left his car here and then went home, and Stuart's asleep... ok, yeah, that's pretty unlikely.

She cautiously turned the light on in the corridor, half expecting an axe murderer to jump out at her. Ladies and gentlemen, paranoia at its finest.

It took her about a minute or two to finally muster up the courage to enter the dark living room. She burst in and banged her hand on the light switch, enlightening the room. No axe murderer here either. She looked around and immediately noticed empty beer bottles on the coffee table.

What is this?! Her overprotective mother instincts kicked in and she came closer to examine the scene, but no sooner than she did, she noticed the two on the couch.

Murdoc and 2d were laying facing each other, their limbs completely tangled around their bodies. Their faces were milimeters apart, both smiling. This surprised 2d's mother, she could have never expected that they got this close to each other. Was this normal for them or were they just drunk? More importantly, what happened before she got home? And was this still just a friendship?

They might have looked cute next to each other, happy and calm, but 2d's mother had some yelling and punishing to do, and she wanted to get it over with so she could go to sleep. She cleared her throat loudly, not waking either of them.

"Hey love birds." She stated, frustrated. No response. "Oy!" 2d slightly moved in his sleep, but only ended up cuddling more into Murdoc, nearly connecting their lips. Murdoc didn't even budge. 2d's mother was growing impatient. "For fucks sake! What is this?!" She startled both of them awake. They looked at each other then at her. A second passed before they realised what sort of situation they found themselves in and they both jumped, ending up on opposite sides of the couch. 2d's mother noticed that they were both looking away and blushing, she sighed. "What the fuck is this?!" She gestured the alcohol. They both looked over, regret making its way into their widening eyes.

"U-Ummm..." 2d tried to say, but nothing came out.

"You are both underage!" 2d's mother barked. "Where the fuck did you get this shit from?!" She clearly wasn't able to control her swearing any longer, she was pissed.

"I took it from my dad." Murdoc lied, trying not to get 2d in trouble.

"You stole it?!"

"He's too drunk to notice it's missing." Murdoc's voice was strong, yet a sudden thought got him worried. Shit... I hope she doesn't come up with the stupid idea of calling my father over this!

"But it's still illegal for you to drink!"

"Technically-"

"Don't." 2d's mother commanded. "In this house you don't drink until you're 18!" Murdoc sighed.

"We just wanted to have some fun."

"Fun?!" 2d's mother burst out. Murdoc realised that 'fun' wasn't the best word to use, considering how she found them.

"W-We didn't do anything!" 2d suddenly shot up, panicking. "I swear!"

"Oh really?" His mother's voice was sly. "Then what's that on your neck?" Murdoc's eyes immediately darted to the bluenette's collarbone, where his shirt was still pulled down, revealing a small hickey. 2d gasped and turned to Murdoc.

"You said she wouldn't notice!" The bluenette trembled.

"I thought she wouldn't!" Murdoc replied hastily. "I couldn't see it in the dark!"

"I told you she'd kill me if she sees another one!" 2d blurted out, forgetting his mother was right there.

"Another one?" She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms, looming over them. Murdoc's eyes widened and 2d gasped. "You mean all those previous hickeys were made by Murdoc?!" Neither of them wanted to reply, they just starred at each other in terror. They knew they fucked up. "You told me it was a girl!" 2d's mother continued her rant.

"No." The bluenette suddenly turned to her. "You assumed it was a girl, I never actually said it was..."

"Wait..." His mother thought intensely for a moment. "So you mean to tell me you two went out for a day??"

"You told her that??" Murdoc questioned.

"W-Well, yeah..." He answered both questions at once. He didn't know what else to say. His mother sighed.

"Stuart," she seemed serious "couldn't you have just told me that you're gay?"

"I'M NOT!" 2d yelled out, causing his mother to raise her eyebrows. "And Murdoc isn't either!" The bassist was relieved by this statement. He was afraid that if 2d thought he was gay he wouldn't want to hang around him anymore, or wouldn't let him touch him or kiss him because he would know about his ulterior motives. "W-We were just messing about!" 2d continued. "This really doesn't mean anything!" But this statement seemed to offend Murdoc. Don't worry 2d... he thought. Soon...

"Well, whatever it was, you're grounded for a week." 2d's mother sternly stated.

"What??" 2d questioned. "For a hickey??"

"No, for the alcohol! I don't care about the hickey." She paused. "Ok, that's a lie. Murdoc I don't want to see any more hickeys on my son's neck." She commanded. "If you want to mark something you can go piss on a tree, but leave my son's neck alone. He's not your property."

"I could argue with that-" Murdoc started.

"Well don't." She stated bitterly. "No band practice, or Murdoc coming over for a week."

"Whaaaat??" Both teens gasped in unison.

"Well what do you think being grounded means?"

After that 2d's mother kicked Murdoc out with a sigh and ordered 2d to bed. That night she started wondering, could there really be something more between these two?

Aye! I was watching the music video for Stylo on the TV and my dad came into the room, he saw Bruce Willis and was like "you're watching fast and furious, right?"

"Ahaha...... no."
