2. Teacher's pet

"Oy! 2d!" The bluenette cowered when he heard the familiar voice. He was only a few meters from the main entrance to school and thought that maybe today he could escape the evil bassist, but no. 2d reluctantly stopped and turned around with a sour face expression. He saw Murdoc walk up to him with a smirk on his face.

"Hi Murdoc." 2d mumbled, not happy.

"Where are you going? It's Tuesday, we have band practice." The bassist put his arm around the bluenette's neck and started dragging him off to the opposite direction of freedom.

"W-Well, Paula said she's not coming today, and I've got a headache so..." he tried to explain himself.

"No one cares that she's not coming, I don't need her today anyway. I'm writing lyrics for this new song, she would be useless." The school corridors were now empty, and 2d longed to go home like all the other kids. They walked in silence for a while, 2d was grasping the hand around his neck in hopes that it wouldn't strangle him. "Take your pills." Murdoc suddenly spoke up.

"W-What?" 2d asked, confused. His voice was quiet, he was afraid of talking back to Murdoc.

"You said you've got a headache, so take your pills." Murdoc explained. They were slowly reaching their destination.

"I-I forgot them..." 2d explained himself. Murdoc sighed. He let go of the bluenette as they stopped in front of a door. The bassist knelt down and searched for something in his bag.

"Well lucky I haven't." He took out a bottle of pills and handed them to the bluenette who reluctantly took them.

At some point Murdoc realised that 2d would get constant headaches, and sometimes he would even forget to take his pills on purpose so that he could avoid spending time with Murdoc. 2d was no fun to be around when he had a headache; he wouldn't speak or move, just whimper in pain. So at some point Murdoc decided to take the situation into his own hands and always carry around pills for 2d's headaches. 2d hated that, he felt like no matter what he did he just couldn't escape Murdoc.

"Thanks." 2d mumbled. Murdoc then took out a lock picking set from his bag and proceeded to open the abandoned music room. The only music teacher left about a month ago so there were no more music lessons and the room was not in use. There were still instruments inside, like a drum kit, a few keyboards etc. Murdoc couldn't let this go to waste so he decided to make it his headquarters. The teachers didn't really care since the room was always relatively clean and 'band practice' was only after school.

Murdoc put his tools away and took the pills away from 2d, he didn't want the bluenette to 'lose' them. The two of them walked into the dark classroom. Murdoc turned the light on and threw his bag beside the teacher's desk. He then sat down in the teacher's seat, which was now his seat, and put his legs up on the table. He saw 2d walk across the classroom and take a seat at the very end of the front row, about 2-3 meters away from him. This was as far as he could sit, Murdoc always liked him near so he couldn't be anywhere beyond the front row. The bluenette put his head down on the table and covered it with his hands, waiting for the medicine to kick in.

The bassist opened a drawer and took his notebook and a pen out, scribbling down ideas. 2d really didn't want to be there, but there was no escape. He felt like a pet. A teacher's pet considering where Murdoc was sitting.

Time passed and the bluenette's headache finally begun to fade, he didn't lift his head up though. The classroom was nice and quiet, maybe he could manage to take a short nap without Murdoc noticing? Suddenly Murdoc put the book down on the desk and stood up.

"Aye dullard, I'm going to the toilet. Don't touch my stuff." And he left. Murdoc didn't have to remind him not to leave the room; 2d knew that trying to escape while Murdoc isn't looking is a very bad idea. He learnt that the hard way.

After the bassist left 2d wearily stood up. He walked up to the teacher's desk and looked at the open note book. He begun reading the music notes and hummed the melody. It wasn't half bad. He picked the book up and leaned against the desk, trying to figure out the right way to sing the lyrics.

---

Murdoc left the toilet and made his way back to the music room. He stopped when he heard faint mumbling coming from the other side of the door. He recognised some of the words to be his lyrics. 2d cleared his throat. What's he gonna do? Sing? Murdoc thought. He smirked to himself, expecting the worst.

"I ain't happy~
I'm feeling glad~"

Murdoc's eyes widened at the voice.

"I got sunshine~
In a bag~"

It didn't sound like 2d at all; he wasn't stammering or muttering.

"I'm useless~
But not for long~"

Murdoc never heard any voice as beautiful as his.

"The future~
Is coming on~"

Despite the fact that he got some notes wrong, Murdoc knew that he was simply perfect for the song, for any song actually.

"2d!" Murdoc slammed the door open. The bluenette shrieked and jumped, dropping the note book and causing the loose pages to scatter all over the floor.

"I-I-I'm s-sorry M-Murdoc!" 2d quickly fell onto his knees and tried to gather all the papers together again, trembling. He looked down, avoiding eye contact. Murdoc rushed up to him and knelt down in front of him. He grabbed him by the shoulders, causing him to flinch, and lifted him up to a standing position. 2d was petrified. "I-I'm sorry! I-I prom-mise t-to n-never touch y-your stuff again!" He whimpered.

"I don't give a crap about that." Murdoc was firmly holding onto him with a stern face expression. "You have got to join my band!"

"E-Excuse me?" 2d raised an eyebrow.

I want this to be my most realistic story yet, so I'll be giving a lot of detail. Don't be afraid to make comments or correct me if I'm wrong.
