11. Always eat breakfast

A faint ringing could be heard in the distance. 2d groaned and buried his head more into his pillow, he could already tell that a migraine was about to hit him. Waking up with a headache... I love my life... he thought sarcastically. He tried to ignore the familiar sound and go back to sleep, but after about 40 minutes he couldn't stand it anymore.

He slowly opened his eyes, wincing away from the light in his room. He wanted to go back to sleep- he hated waking up before his alarm clock rung. What time is it anyway?

2d lazily lifted his hand and slumped it down onto his nightstand, looking for his phone. It wasn't there. He started moving his hand around, now more urgently looking for his phone. He lifted his head and realised his phone wasn't there. Confused, he dragged himself to the edge of the bed and looked down at the floor. Maybe it fell?

He heard the muffled sound again. He looked across the room to where the sound was coming from- his bag. I FORGOT TO TAKE MY PHONE OUT OF MY BAG!!

The bluenette jumped out of his bed, completely ignoring his headache, and rushed to his bag. On his knees, he pulled his phone out and turned the alarm clock off. 7:29?! I HAVE TO LEAVE RIGHT NOW!! He threw his phone back into his bag and then hurriedly looked around, noticing the hoodie Murdoc told him to wear yesterday. No time to change clothes! I'll just put this on! He reached for the hoodie and put it on, then threw his backpack over his shoulder and started running downstairs.

Halfway down, he noticed a figure on the other side of the front door, and heard the lock click open. Mom? No, too early.. Dad? Impossible.. Is someone breaking into my house?! Startled, he ended up tripping at the bottom steps. He lay spread on the floor on his stomach and looked up as the door swung open.

Murdoc stood in the doorway and raised an eyebrow at the bluenette on the floor by the stairs. 2d looked up at him with a pained face expression.

"That's an odd place to lay down." Murdoc joked as he walked in and closed the door behind him. 2d slowly sat up, his heart still beating fast because of the adrenaline caused by falling down the stairs. He rubbed his head, which was pounding by now. The rest of his body didn't really hurt. His backpack fell off of his back and lay beside him.

"Not funny Murdoc." He replied sourly. "You scared me and I fell down the stairs." 2d looked at Murdoc and noticed the keys that were still in his hand. He quickly reached his hand out towards the bassist. "My keys." He politely demanded, he knew he didn't have any sort of power over Murdoc but he could at least try. "Why did you take them??"

"Dunno." Murdoc simply replied, not intending to reveal his motives. He walked up to the bluenette who looked up at him with a pout, but instead of handing him the keys he grabbed his hand instead and pulled him up. 2d gasped and stumbled. "Did you eat breakfast?" Murdoc handed him the keys and started walking towards the living room.

"No. Didn't have time." 2d replied hastily. "Anyway, I gotta go now, so get out of my house." He did his best not to sound rude. "Please."

"What? Half an hour before school starts?" Murdoc stood in the living room doorway and looked at him.

"It's a 30 minute walk." 2d stated dully. Murdoc walked up to him.

"10 minute drive." He said with an evil smirk. He saw fear growing in 2d's eyes as his face went pale. Before the bluenette had time to escape Murdoc grabbed him by the wrist and started dragging him to the dining table. "Now, breakfast."

"No no no no no no no..! Please...!" 2d slightly panicked. He stopped in his tracks, causing Murdoc to stop too and turn around to look at him. Tears were streaming down his face. When Murdoc noticed this his smirk slowly faded away. "Please don't make me get into that car again! I'm begging you!"

"If you don't like it then you drive." Murdoc stated.

"M-Me..?" 2d thought for a moment. "But I don't have a driving license.."

"Then you'll get one." There was something cheerful in Murdoc's voice, he was trying to lift the mood again.

"B-But it costs... I don't have that kind of money.." 2d was clearly down.

"I'll pay for you." The bluenette looked up at him in surprise. Murdoc was still holding his wrist.

"W-Where.. will you get the money from?" 2d questioned.

"I have my sources." Murdoc smirked again.

"...I can't repay you though..." 2d hesitated.

"Don't worry about it. You'll repay me once the band becomes famous and we have a lot of money. For now, you just have to sing for me." He started pulling the bluenette to the table again.

"How do you know we'll become famous?" 2d's voice was small. He was thrown into a chair by the table.

"I just do." Murdoc smirked and walked into the kitchen. 2d looked down at the table miserably. He remembered that even though Murdoc will allow him to drive his car later, now it's still him driving. He placed his head down on the table.

"Hey Murdoc." 2d called out quietly.

"Yeah?"

"Can you get me some pain killers? They're-"

"I know where they are." Murdoc interrupted him. This made 2d feel uncomfortable. Why does he have to know where everything in my house is? I don't like this... He agreed to be 'friends' with Murdoc, but deep down he was afraid of getting close to him. Murdoc returned to the room with a glass of water and two pills in his hand. He placed them in front of 2d, who quickly took them. "Oh look! You're finally wearing the hoodie I gave you." Murdoc chimed. No reply. He returned to the kitchen only to return with two bowls of cereal. He placed one in front of 2d and kept the other for himself. "Eat." He commanded. "It's unhealthy to not eat breakfast." 2d sighed and started digging through his cereal with his spoon. They ate in silence.

I'm starting to see things that aren't there, it's getting annoying. Could that be a sign of sleep deprivation?
