Yui's POV:
While we're at the toy store, I was looking at the Roy's with Soren where I am gushing like a child in a candy store.

"Omg so many toys!"

I happily cheered as I turned to Soren who can't stop staring and smiling at the electronic puppies and kittens who are barking and meowing at the entrance.

I giggled at the sight of him where I find it adorable to see him like this.

Heehee Soren's so cute!

"Thank you."

"Huh? Oh hehehe minding reading..."

I giggled a bit awkwardly but Soren chuckled softly with a cute grin.

"You sure love cute things don't ya?"

I asked curiously with a playful grin.

"Hehe you can say that, I was pretty excited when I saw this thing."

He replied with a soft cute grin and light blush across his face.

"Hehe I can tell, I bet you love playing with these types of toys right?"

I asked playfully with Soren narrowing his eyes a bit awkwardly with a shy smile.

"Well...not really...I have a few, but when I saw this electronic dog, it reminds me of my childhood."

He calmly stated as he grins warmly at the fond memories of his parents before his sweet smile turns into a sad frown.

"...I once have a toy like this that my mother gave to me before she and my dad died...."

He sadly stated as I felt my heart strings pulled when I remembered Roy mentioning about their parents. However I felt really bad for him.

"You really missed your parents."

I acknowledged him as Soren slightly nods his head with a sad smile but tries to hide it.

"I do, but...that was in the past so don't worry about it."

He assured me with a fake smile, but I can tell he's lying. As I was about to asked him, we soon heard Aaron calling for us who has a bunch of Rick and Morty stuff.

"Hey guys! You done yet? Roy want us back at Sears!"

He reminded us.

"Oh right! Come on Soren, we'll talk about later ok?"

"Mhm."

After we left the toy store, Aaron and I were talking about what we get from the mall however I couldn't stop looking at Soren where I'm quite worried about Soren who is walking behind me with his hoodie on looking depressed.

He's definitely hiding something....

I thought while knowing that Soren is reading my mind right now but he didn't say anything.

"Hey."

"Wha? Oh sorry Aaron."

"Y'all are quiet all of the sudden, did something happen between y'all?"

He asked curiously.

"Oh no! We're just talking about stuff! Soren and I were just talking about the electronic puppy that he likes."

I replied a bit awkwardly as I lied about Soren telling me a bit about his childhood. Aaron doesn't seem to believe me, but he lets it go for a minute.

"What cha get?"

He asked curiously.

"Well neither of us didn't get anything, we just look basically."

I replied with a grin as I turned my attention back to Soren who didn't even say anything after we left the store.

Once we got together with the Sinclairs, we soon left the mall where most of them bought a lot of things from the mall. Kasper bought a unicorn t shirt that he always wanted, Shay bought a new music book for his next piano session, Roy bought a book called the fault of our stars, Lance also bought a book but it's called Me Before You, Aaron bought a lot of things from Hot Topic such as a Rick and Morty t shirt, a Black Butler mug, and a Black Butler t-shirt.

I'm quite happy to hang out with the Sinclairs since this is the first time I ever go out with someone who is nice for once. However I can't ignore the back of my head when I stared at Soren curiously who is looking at the window with a solemn look.

I wonder what's in his mind? What was his childhood like?

I thought where I knew he was reading my mind but didn't bother to respond.

Soren's POV:
While we're on our way home, I thought about my past when I remembered the bad things that happened to my childhood. It was really horrible...I remembered being beaten up, spit on, and belittled by other children at the playground. I will never forget that.....

I was bullied by other children when I was eight. I'm different from other kids because of my mind reading abilities. It's a power that I was born with and I can't control it. I can't help it. It's who I am....

Tch you're pathetic! A monster like you should never exist!

They all laughed and mocked my weak and beaten state where I just stood there watching them laughed and pointing fingers at me while calling me a "monster". I tried to be strong, but I couldn't hold on the tears hat I hidden.

LEAVE OUT BROTHER ALONE YOU LOSERS!

Luckily for me, I have my brothers with me when my twin older brothers Shay and Roy defend me from my bullies.

Gah! Let's get out of here!

Yeah you better run you cowards!

Shay then sticks his tongue at them with Roy sighed at his taunting.

Shay knock it off, it's impolite.

Roy sternly assured him.

Not my problem, they were making fun of him.

Shay pointed that as Roy slightly shakes his head at him and kneeled towards me with a sympathetic look.

You're not hurt are you?

He asked curiously with a worried look, but I didn't respond and looked away.

Why would you saved me? Why would you protect an ugly and pathetic monster like me?

I asked skeptically with a sad tone, but Roy pats my head and strokes it with ease and sincerity.

You're our brother of course. Why wouldn't we protect our wonderful brother like you?

He asked curiously with a tender smile, but I still don't believe that.

But Roy...I'm a monster! I'm a horrible and ugly monster!

I cried as tears flow down from my cheeks, but Shay down to his knees and turned my face to his.

Soren, listen to me. You're not a monster, you're not horrible, you're not ugly. You are our brother. Our sweet, kind, and wonderful brother who can do something special that neither of those losers can't.

Shay assured me as I widen my eyes when I heard his bold and kind words that come out of his mouth before he smiled warmly at me.

We love you Soren, and we all are going to be with you.

Shay reassured me as Roy nod at him with a smile.

I agree, no matter what happens to you, we'll always protect and care for you.

Roy sweetly assured me as he and Shay embraced me with lots of love and care where I felt smiled creeped from my face and I hugged them back as a single tear dropped to Shay's black sweater where we shared a heartwarming brotherly moment.

I smiled warmly at the heartwarming memory from my childhood as I was looking. It was bittersweet but I'm glad to have brothers like Roy and the others.

While looking back, I glanced at Yui who is talking to Aaron where I thought about talking about my past to her as I gripped my hands.

Maybe I should give it a try....

I thought with a slight grin as I hoped that Yui would understand me....
