Yui's POV:
The next day after Christmas is over, we cleaned up everything in the house and BOY THAT WAS A LOT OF WORK. Hell even last night was a huge roller coaster ride.

While cleaning up the mansion, me and Aaron were in charge of the living room however working with Aaron can be a bit...tiring....

For example, try at least tolerate a redheaded Baka when he is too lazy to help me with so much work.

"Aaron."

I asked annoyingly as I frown at him when Aaron is lying on the couch carelessly.

"What?"

He replied bluntly while lying on the couch.

"Aren't you going to help out? There are a lot of things that we need to be cleaned up. Can you at least be more active for once?"

I bluffed with an annoyed frown as Aaron let out a slight groan.

"Ughh fine."

As he gets up from the couch, a picture fell from his pocket which Aaron noticed and tries to pick it up, but I grab it on time and turned the picture to see a  young girl with red hair and ruby red eyes wearing red dress smiling boldly.

***Aaron's childhood friend and ex crush^***

"Hm? Who is this-"

"It's nothing!"

Aaron shouted cutting me off from asking as he puts the picture into his pocket. I became curious about the red haired girl and asked him.

"Aaron, who was that?"

I asked skeptically with my arms crossed to my chest

"Nothing."

He replied in denial, but I can see through his lies so I asked him again.

"Aaron don't lie to me, just tell me who the girl is."

I bluntly demanded not taking any of his bullshit as Aaron sighs and tells me the truth.

"Okay fine, the girl from the picture was a friend from our childhood."

He finally told me as he narrows his red eyes with a light blush across his face. I blinked in surprise when the Sinclairs had a childhood friend.

"Were you guys close as kids?"

I asked curiously with questions popped out of my head where I want to know more about the Sinclairs' backstory. Aaron however refused to answer my question and responded bluntly.

"I don't wanna talk about it."

He coldly replied as he flops back to the couch with an annoyed look.

"Oh come on, it can't be that bad!"

I pout as I sat next to him on the couch, but Aaron sighed and puts a hand on his knees to hold his chin with an annoyed expression.

"Like I said before I don't wanna talk about it."

He bluntly reassured me, but I frown with annoyance when he won't tell me anything about his childhood friend. However an idea popped from my head as I formed a sneaky smirk.

"Hey Aaron, when's the last time you take your history test?"

I asked curiously with a smirk which Aaron flinched in response.

"Uhhhh...since three weeks ago and that was before break....."

He nervously replied with a sweatdropped.

"Bullshit, I'm in the same class as you and you were on your phone this whole damn time."

I directly pointed that out as Aaron lets out a sigh.

"Okay so what's your point?"

He asked curiously.

"My my point is that since you failed horribly at the history quiz, and since you're retaking it tomorrow, I'll help you out UNLESS you tell me everything about your childhood friend Akane."

I threatened him which causes tick marks to appear on his head.

"You're bluffing."

He bluntly stated in disbelief.

"Oh? But I can, and if you won't, I'll tell Roy that you were playing your phone during history class so fess up Aaron."

I demanded with a sly smirk as Aaron groaned in response and finally gives in.

"Ughhhh fiiiinnneee!!"

"Yay!"

I cheered with a cheery smile as I let go of his shirt, he starts explaining about their childhood friend.

"So What type of person Akane like? Is she your
g-i-r-l-f-r-i-e-n-d?"

I playfully asked with a smirk as Aaron chuckled at my playfulness.

"Naw were just friends and all. Akane and I would run around in the corn fields as we burned them into flames. Hell we even got scolded by the farmer who grew those plants and my dad scolded at me for doing it."

He stated with a chuckle as he reminisces his great childhood memories of his childhood friend where I giggled at the thought of them getting into silly antics. I know that sounds bad, you got to admit that Aaron is much of a troublemaker as a child.

"You sure are a troublemaker Aaron."

I compliment him with a slight smirk as he shrugged his shoulders in response.

"Meh I'm use to being called a "troublemaker" and a "rebel", but I do help her out a lot."

He stated with a nonchalant tone.

"Really?"

"Yeah when Akane is on her sadness moments, my brothers and I usually cheered her up by making ourselves like complete morons, but when we're alone, I always comfort her and hugged her while she cries into my chest."

He stated with a grin as he reminisced the memory of his childhood friend where I smiled warmly at the touching moment.

"You're such a sweet guy Aaron."

I complimented him as he lightly shrugs his shoulder with a grin.

"Maybe, but I can be a bit of a teased when it comes to the girl I like."

He smirked playfully as I lightly punched him in the arm with a giggle.

"You're such a tease man."

I giggled as he chuckled at me.

"I am."

He honestly admits as I tilt my head with a curious grin.

"Have you ever liked a girl before?"

I asked curiously as Aaron widen his red eyes and a blush creeped from his cheeks where I smirked at his reaction.

Knew it.

I thought with a smirk as Aaron shifted his eyes to the left which I find him pretty cute when he acts like a total tsundere.

"Well I...I do have a crush on her...just a little bit...."

He awkwardly stated as I softly giggled at his response.

"Does Akane know you like her?"

I asked curiously as Aaron scratches his head awkwardly while blushing.

"Not really...she's just....liked me as a friend....."

He awkwardly stated as I felt pretty awkward for asking that.

"Oh...sorry Aaron...."

I apologized awkwardly.

"Nah it's nothing, but she is a really good friend and I respect that, but...that's all changed when HE came into our lives."

He stated as his tone became cold all of the sudden where I know who he was talking about.

"You mean Ka-"

"Yeah...."

Aaron then grips the ledge of the couch as he clenched his teeth remembering what happened to Akane.

"It happened when my family were having a ball party in our old mansion and...that bastard of a douche kidnapped her and used her as an experiment. Then he...he....."

Aaron tried to get the words out of his mouth but couldn't as he grips his red hair triggering the trauma of Akane's death. I scoot closer and stroked his back with a caring look.

"What happened Aaron?"

I asked curiously with a concern look, but Aaron couldn't handle the pain and screamed.

"THAT SCUMBAG ASSHOLE KILLED AKANE ONCE HE DONE WITH HER!"

He bellowed as flames emits from his hair and eyes setting the living on fire. Then the Sinclair Brothers ran into the living room and Soren extinguished the flames with water. The others looked at Aaron with annoyed faces.

"Really Aaron? Do you know how much this room cost?"

Roy asked annoyingly as Aaron turned away with a pained look.

"Sorry man, I was just talking to Yui about stuff."

He guiltily stated as Lance and Shay tilt their heads knowing what's going on between us.

"It's Akane isn't it?"

Shay asked curiously as Aaron nod dejectedly. Lance then come up to him and hugged him.

"We understand the pain you're going through, this isn't your fault. You and Akane didn't know that something like this is going to happen."

Lance assured but, but Aaron didn't listen and smacked his hand away from him.

"No! It was my goddamn fault for not protecting her! If I haven't left her with that old geezer, she would be dead by now! If I didn't ignore those fucking red flags that signaled me that something bad is going to happen, I would've saved her ass!"

He shouted with full of anger and regrets for not protecting her where I became frighten by his anger.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!"

Roy demanded as his eyes turned bloody red to stop Aaron from shouting at him.

"You will not talk to us with that attitude young man! I will not tolerate to pin you down if your fire powers get out of control, you know how incapable you when your emotions!"

Roy shouted at Aaron, but Shay patted his shoulder with a concern look.

"Roy let's not be harsh towards him, yelling wouldn't solve anything."

He assured him as Roy pushed his glasses and breathed silently.

"My apologies Shay, anyway I must go back to my room to buy a new living room. Everyone go back to where you are."

"Hai."

As the brothers went back to their rooms, I glanced at Aaron who is looking away guiltily. I walked towards Aaron and cupped his cheeks with a sweet smile.

"Aaron don't worry about it, I understand your pain."

I sweetly assured him with Aaron shifting his eyes away from me.

"I fucked it up Yui, I'm sorry...."

He apologized guiltily but I shook my head and hugged him.

"I said don't worry about it Aaron, people make mistakes. I'm always here for you whenever you need someone to talk ok?"

I assured him with a warm grin as Aaron widen his eyes for a second but grins softly afterwards.

"Thanks Yui."

He then hugs me back where we continue to embraced each other in the burnt living room as I yearn to learn more about the brothers and I'm glad to be in this mansion.
