Chapter Twenty Five: A Hole In My Heart...
Yui's POV:
Once we're done with chores, Aaron went back to his room. However we all can't go to the living room because you-know-what-happened. I feel bad for Aaron though, *sighs* Aaron you poor rebel.
While the living room is being fixed, I walked to the dining hall to relax until I noticed Roy sitting at the end of the table reading something.
I smiled warmly and walked up to him.
"Hey Roy."
I greeted kindly to him.
"Hello Miss Komori, do you need anything?"
He asked politely.
"Oh no, I was just walking by."
I replied with a grin as I look at the book where I saw millions of pictures of Roy and his brothers as kids where they are standing next to their parents.
***The picture of the Sinclairs as kids^***
"You all look so cute together."
I compliment him as Roy grinned in response.
"Adorable isn't it? We were all wonderful children, but...."
His hazel eyes narrowed down to the table where I noticed a hint of sadness from him.
"...I wish our parents weren't dead...mother...father...."
Roy gently stroked the picture of his parents by mostly his dad.
"Oh father....I missed you so much, you were a wonderful father, best friend, and greatest person that we ever had."
Just then a teardrop fell to the photo album as he tries to suppress his tears.
"...You were....a great father....I'm glad that mother married such a kind and caring individual....."
He mumbled as he suppressed his tears, my heartstrings pulled when I can imagine the relationship between the brothers and their parents.
"They both sound like nice people Roy."
I grinned sweetly with Roy nod lightly at me with a slight grin.
"They are and we're glad to have such great parents like them, but...."
He then clenched his fist against his white collared shirt as he tries to suppress his pain with a fake smile.
"Ever since our parents died, I've been thinking about our parents and I remembered my father's last words before heading for battle against Karlheinz...."
Then tears slowly ran down from his cheeks and covered his eyes with his hand not wanting me to look at him which made my heart ached to watched him suffer. So I slowly approached him and hugged him as I stroked his black hair.
"I'm sorry for your lost Roy."
I apologized kindly as Roy just stood there blinking his eyes twice but I kept on talking.
"It's not your fault, it's not your brothers' fault, your parents cared for you and they want what's best for you."
I assured him while gently stroking his hair as I felt his tears from my pink sweater but I don't care and I kept on comforting him.
"You're such a kind, polite, selfless, and caring man. However when I see you like this, I find myself liking you and the brothers even more. I think I know why you're feeling like this...."
I then cupped his cheeks so I can get a closer look at his face with his hazel eyes gleaming in innocence and sadness.
"You have a hole in your heart, meaning you felt empty inside without your parents. Your father was your rock, but died in a war along with your mother. However there's one thing you didn't lost."
I stopped hugging him and grabbed the photo album as I showed him a picture of his brothers.
"These guys, these people, your brothers cared for you. They loved you so much that they are willing to do anything for you. Including me."
I assured him with Roy became touched by my words and smiled warmly at me.
"Thank you for consoling me Miss Komori, I really needed that. However I need to show you something."
He politely stated as he gets up from the chair and reached a hand to me.
"Please hold on to me."
He politely suggested as I smiled gently and took his hand where Roy teleported me to the attic where it was quite dark yet a bit dusty.
"This is where I expressed my emotions whenever I'm in a bad or depressed mood, but I'm only here because I need to show you something that I never show to my brothers."
Roy assured me as I smiled warmly at him.
"I would love to see something from you Roy."
"Then let me show you."
He then turns on the lights where I blinked my eyes a bit until I widen my eyes in awe when I saw a huge portrait of his father. He looks exactly like Roy and Shay where he has dark hair but has red eyes. However he looks so handsome.
****The Sinclairs' father^****
"Wow you're father looks handsome...."
I gasped in awe with a huge smile on my face as Roy came to me and gently grabbed my hand.
"This the first time I ever showed someone my artwork."
Roy politely stated as I became surprised when he made something like this.
"Hm? You drew this?"
I asked curiously with a surprised expression as he chuckled softly at my reaction.
"Close enough, I painted this. Before our parents died, I asked my father to be my piece for my next artwork as a dedication to my unwavering loyalty and love for him. And that's why I hang this up to the attic so I can remember the good times we shared as a family."
He kindly stated with a sweet grin reminiscing his sweet heartwarming memories of his father and mother.
I smiled warmly at the sweet memories of their past imaging them happy together.
"You're very close to your father Roy."
I kindly stated.
"I do, but we all love each other as family."
He stated with a sweet smile.
"I usually showed my brothers my artwork but... I don't have enough room to put so I decided to put it in the attic."
Roy stated as he chuckled softly where I did the same as well.
"So does that make me your special guest to see your artwork then?"
I asked playfully with a slight smirk as Roy chuckled at my playful remark.
"I never showed this portrait to my brothers, but showing you this makes me happy."
He stated as I hugged him with a smile.
"Well you made me happy too Roy, thank you for showing me this beautiful portrait of your father."
I thanked him with a sweet grin as Roy smiled warmly and hugs me back.
"You're most certainly welcome and may I asked you a question?"
He politely asked as I looked up to him.
"What is it?"
I asked curiously as he gently stroked my blonde hair with a tender grin.
"May I call you by your first name?"
He asked politely as I smiled warmly and nod.
"Of course you can Roy, thank you for showing me this."
I thanked him with a sweet smile as hugged me with a soft sweet grin.
"And thank you for being such a wonderful guest Yui."
He stated politely with a warm grin where I giggled softly into his chest as we hugged in the attic with peaceful smiles on our faces.
