I smiled as walked into his bedroom. Even though I had my own bedroom I usually preferred to sleep in Dante's bed. I snuggled under the covers letting out a yawn. As I was falling asleep I heard Dante come in the bedroom. My cat ears perked up and twitched from beneath my hair at his movements.
After a moment I felt him lie down next to me as I completely fell asleep. When I woke up in the morning however, Dante was not next to me. I climbed out of bed and went into the bathroom. After taking a shower I brushed my teeth then grabbed my cat brush.
I brushed my tail every morning to keep the fur on it nice. Plus replacing someone's house cat with yourself was another easy way to catch prey. I grew a panther tail and my hair instantly turned black to match the fur color I know had on my tail.
I reached back and pulled it to me so I could look at it then I carefully began to brush it. When I was finished I walked back to my room to get dress and when I came out I could smell breakfast.
I could smell the scent of fried fish and bacon to be specific. I walked into the kitchen and right up to Dante who was so focused on cooking that he didn't even hear me. I usually walked around purposely making at least some sound so he could hear me when I moved.
I watched him for a few moments then I let out a loud meow and Dante jumped startled then he turned and glared at me with his grey eyes. I let out a chuckle and smiled. "You think you're just so funny don't you." He mumbled.
I shrugged. "I was just being a cat." I said innocently as I could manage. He rolled his eyes then pointed to the table with a fork.
"Sit down Christopher." He told me. I continued to smile but I sat down at the table. I noticed the morning newspaper on the table nearby so I picked it up and began shredding it with my claws.
"There was another Cancoran attack in the city last night. It was a Night Drainer from the looks of it. I swear these things are popping up everywhere." Dante informed me as he turned off the stove. I gathered up the remnants of the shredded newspaper and threw them away.
"Of course the Cancorans are spreading. It's easy to spread a virus or disease when all you have to do is scratch someone. You combine that with the fact that all of them have claws like farming sickles, and like to grab their victims and it's a recipe for disaster." I told him as I sat back down.
Dante sat a plate of fried fish and scrambled eggs in front of me. "Should we go out hunting tonight?" He asked me. I carefully tore off a piece of fish and ate it nodding.
Dante frowned then shifted nervously in his seat looking down at his food. I knew what he wanted instantly. He always acted like that when he wanted to ask something important but was too nervous to ask.
He had been the same way when he asked me to be his boyfriend when he was fifteen. I narrowed my eyes at Dante. "What ever you're going to say, just say it already." I told him. His eyes darted to me then back to the table.
"Christopher I...was wondering if you'd be willing to officially meet my parents?" He asked me.
