The Green Ninja

Kaylee's POV

The dream world is an interesting place. Some people know about it, others don't. In every world, like Ninjago, you could probably find at least maybe 4-5 people who are aware of the dream world. If mastered could let you see inside your own memories or go in other people's dreams. If played around foolishly, then it could potentially scar you for life. Most people do get few chances to master the dream world but fail. These are called Lucid Dreams. I'm probably rambling. Ah well. Well, here I was, standing in the dream world, deciding to find out if I and Lloyd ever met in the past when a loud voice interrupts the choosing.

"Fire! Unlock Fire! Uh, Fire go! Shoot flames! Oh, come on. Everyone else can do it. So can you. Bring heat!" I jolt out of bed and groan. Being a light sleeper was sometimes the absolute worst. I stumble out of bed, Spinjitzu'd into my silver gi and went to the source of the noise.

"Very nice. Perhaps if you tried the phrase 'Fire dork,' maybe it might work." Cole teases.

"How long have you all been watching?" Kai nervously asks.

"Not really long," I sigh.

"The Green Ninja suit. That's awesome!" Jay squeals.

"Well, I was looking for some kind of clue from Sensei and then I found this." Kai gestures to the ninja suit, which was most probably stretched out now. If the Silver ninja gi fits me perfectly, then it shouldn't fit Kai. Or maybe I'm wrong.

"But you know only he who is foretold to face Lord Garmadon is destined to be the Green Ninja, and only he should wear the Green Ninja outfit. So Sensei would most likely be very-" Zane points out, like the true adult out of all of us.

"I know, I know. But I thought if I just tried it on, it might help me see my True Potential. It's not fair that you guys have unlocked your cool powers and I and Kaylee still haven't. Besides, Sensei's gone and we don't know when he's coming back." Kai sighs, and looks out of the window. We all follow his example, wistfully looking into the distance, wondering where Sensei was.

"Hello? I'm home!" Sensei yells.

"Sensei!" We all cheer, rushing to meet him.

"Ah. It's so good to be home." Sensei happily sighs.

"So glad you're back," Zane says.

"We've missed you!" I cry, hugging Sensei tightly.

"Did you bring us anything?" Cole eagerly asks.

"Oh, Sensei, have you missed a lot. Zane's a Nindroid, Nya's the mysterious Samurai, Kaylee can sing, Cole's a dancer-" Jay starts to ramble about all of the things that happened to us since Sensei was gone.

"Zane is a...what?" Sensei was baffled, which wasn't a normal sight, but a good one.

"You've been gone a while. We'll catch you up later. But you should know, all of us except for Kai and Kaylee have discovered our True Potential." Zane cuts in, summing up our adventures into a few sentences.

"Have you now? Where is Kai?" Sensei looks around for the ninja of fire.

"Right here. So glad you're back safe." Kai runs up and dusts off his uniform. "Aah! Sensei, behind you!" He points to a random shadow behind Sensei Wu and proceeds to attack the shadow.

"Sensei!" Zane cries, throwing himself between us and Kai. Who is it? I try to get a better look.

"Ugh! He's got four arms." Kai gasps. Who the frick was he or she?

"So we meet again." The person hisses. Garmadon!

"He must've followed you, Sensei!" Kai declares.

"Kai, stop! He is the reason I left. For so long as Pythor has Lloyd, he will be our guest." Wu commands.

"We have to live with this guy?" Cole questions, with a shocked look on his face.

"But Sensei, he has four arms!" Zane blurted.

"Where in the heck did he even get 4 arms?!?" I shriek.

"Uh, must I remind you ever since he turned evil, he's been trying to get our Golden Weapons?" Jay snaps.

"Enough!" Wu fumes.

"Yes, Sensei." We all sigh.

"This isn't about the weapons. It's about my son." Garmadon reasons.

"From here on out, you will obey me and you will respect my brother," Wu announces, much to the discomfort of all of us.

"Yes, Sensei." We bow.

"Now to the bridge. We must put our attention on more pressing matters." Sensei turns and walks to the bridge, and we follow him like ducklings following their mother. "So, where are we at with the four Fangblades?"

"Oh, Pythor's managed to take the first two, but there's still two left," I exclaim.

"And we only need one in order to prevent him from unleashing the Great Devourer." Cole finishes.

"Any luck finding their whereabouts?" Sensei queries.

"No, but the Falcon is programmed to alert us if he sees any suspicious activity," Zane informs.

"Good. If we find the Fangblade, we find Lloyd. Kai and Nya, prepare the deck and double-check the anchor. We need to be ready when we first get word of activity." Wu requests.

"Yes, Sensei." Kai and Nya respond.

"I have my eye on you." Kai snarled, points at Garmadon, as he walks backward to stare at Garmadon. He bumps his head on the doorframe, and Nya quickly pulls him away, but not before he comes back and makes an I'm watching you look at Garmadon again.

"Jay, did you say the Falcon was...programmed?" Wu stutters.

"Haha. Okay, Sensei. I don't know where to start. It all started when we saw the Falcon, and then we ran after it..." Jay starts rambling as we all listen in on Jay's version of the story.

~Time Skip~

"What's he eating?" Cole asks. We were all at the dinner table and we were trying to eat, but Garmadon was disrupting the peace by eating an unknown, murky black substance that looked suspiciously like maggots.

"Condensed Evil. Supposed to be low in fat." Kai whispers. I gag a little. One of the maggots flew off of his plate but Kai flicked it back. Later, we found Garmadon sunbathing in a storm.

"He's not even playing the game right. He's just shooting and destroying things." Kai fume.

"I've noticed when he isn't so focused on trying to turn Ninjago into his own image, he's actually quite fascinating." Zane points out.

"Sure, four arms are freakish, but all in all, he doesn't seem that bad of a guy." Cole shrugs.

"He might be really weird sometimes, but he might be really nice," I state.

"He might be pulling the wool over all your eyes, but not mine. He's up to something. And I'm gonna be ready for it." Kai snaps.

It was about an hour later when I was practicing my flying skills. I had gotten quite good at it and just started to do simple tricks like backflips and such when the Bridge started to beep. I run in and saw that Zane's Falcon had spotted Lloyd and the Serpentine. I run down to where I saw Kai go earlier. He should have been in there the whole time!

"Kai, you were supposed to be in the bridge! Zane's Falcon spotted them!" I yell, not minding the scene of Kai and Garmadon in a face-off, with Nya and Wu in the middle of it. At my words, we all start running toward the bridge.

"Looks like Pythor is at the Temple of Fire." Nya deducts, staring at the huge temple where I and her first met. Ah, good times.

"That means the Fangblade is there." Kai deducts.

"And Lloyd," Garmadon adds.

"That's the same Fire Temple where Kai and Lord Garmadon first faced off." Jay realizes.

"If my memory serves me correctly, I'd say one of us cheated back when we last fought." Kai snarls.

"And I remember someone needing their Sensei to save them." Garmadon retorts.

"Guys! For the sake of the Fangblade and Lloyd, can we please just get along?" I intervene.

"Since the last time we've been there, it looks like the volcano has grown unstable. The place is a powder keg just waiting to blow up. This will be a highly combustible environment." Nya observes.

"Oh, great. Just what I like. Fighting armed and deadly snakes in a highly combustible environment about to blow up!" Jay yells, much to the discomfort of Cole, who was steering the Bounty.

"Please don't shout in my ear again." Cole whimpers.

"We will do what we must." Sensei Wu decides.

"Yes, Sensei. But where are our weapons?" Zane asks.

"And why is Lord Garmadon not here?" Kai races out of the bridge.

"Kai!" Sensei yells after him. We quickly race down to where Kai was to realize that he was taking on Lord Garmadon.

"Kai? You in here? What are you doing?" Nya frets.

"Discovering my True Potential!" Kai declares, looking at the little window embedded in the door before turning to fight Lord Garmadon again.

"Unh! The door won't budge!" Jay grunts.

"Kai thinks he'll unlock his power if he stands up to Lord Garmadon," Nya explains.

"Why would he think that?" I ask.

"Cause he thinks he's the Green Ninja!" Nya cries out, and we hear a dubious crashing noise inside of the room.

"Well, if we don't open this door soon, I think he's gonna be mincemeat. Stand back! Earth!" Cole activates his elemental power and knocks down the door. We race in the room to see Kai standing over Lord Garmadon.

"I defeated him. I did it! Are my eyes glowing? Did I unlock my powers? Is this my True Potential?" Kai excitedly asks. "Argh! Why isn't it working?" His excitement soon turns to disappointment however, when he finds that his True Potential hadn't been unlocked.

"Because you cannot defeat someone who allowed himself to be defeated." Sensei angrily explains, helping Garmadon up.

"I wasn't going to hurt you, boy. I was only fetching your weapons." Garmadon says.

"But you were trying to steal them!" Kai insists.

"I asked him to get them. Perhaps it is best you do not reach your True Potential, or else someone could get hurt." Sensei snaps.

"Way to go, hero." Cole dryly exclaims.

"Oh. Poor thing. Let me help you." Nya helps Garmadon up. A large crashing sound was heard.

"Sounds like we've finally reached our destination." I deduct, and we all disembark from the ship. We walk slowly to the Fire Temple, taking note of all of the ash and flaming rocks flying from the volcano behind it.

"The Fire Temple," Cole says.

"The volcano seems to be on the verge of eruption, guys. All recent indicators tell me that this place is becoming increasingly fragile. Even the smallest rupture can make the whole thing go off." Nya informs from the Falcon, from the intercom on the Destiny's Bounty.

"Then we must not use our weapons," Sensei commands.

"Kai." Nya lightly scolds.

"Yeah, yeah. No Fire Sword. But only because I wouldn't want anything to prevent us from getting that Fangblade." Kai rolls his eyes as he sheaths his sword.

"Or my son," Garmadon adds.

"There. The Serpentine must be inside the inner core. From here on out, we travel by shadows." Sensei Wu points into the mouth of the Fire Temple, where it was the reddest. That sounded a bit weird. We pull up our hoods and run off to the center.

"It's the only way I know-how," Garmadon replies.

"There's Lloyd," Jay whispers while pointing to a cage with Lloyd in it.

"Son." Garmadon gasps.

"Huh? Out of my way, fool! The third Fangblade is ours!" Pythor cheers. "Ninja? Attack!" But then he saw our reflections in the blade I guess, and he turns around. Both sides charge at each other.

"Light as a leaf. Attack like there is no tomorrow." Sensei commands, knocking down a few Serpentine. Zane, Jay, and Cole use their elemental powers to knock over some snakes as I blast them into the lava with my powers. Sensei knocks down some snakes with his staff and Garmadon, using his new 4 arms, using 4 weapons at a time. Some Constrictai makes some holes in the volcano, making it rain rocks, and shaking the volcano, like those 3-year-olds with snowglobes.

"They're making the volcano unstable!" Zane points out the obvious.

"Yeah, you think? I thought it was just Cole using his powers!" I snap.

"Hey!" Cole yells from across the volcano.

"Any minute this place is gonna blow! We have to get out of here!" Jay shouts.

"Not without my son." Garmadon rushes toward Lloyd.

"Dad!" Lloyd cries.

"Argh, lose the boy!" Pythor screams. The two Fangpyre who was holding the cage drops it over lava and the cage slowly sinks as Lloyd frantically scrambles around, trying not to touch the scorching hot liquid death.

"We have to help him!" I scream, running towards Lloyd and Garmadon, but Zane held me back.

"Kaylee you must not go back! If more people go back it will jeopardize the safety of the whole group!" Zane reasons with me and I decide to follow him, glancing back fearfully each time as we scale the rocks to the way we entered the cave. Garmadon finally gets Lloyd out of the lava and they share a hug, not before being interrupted by Kai, who was making a beeline for Pythor and the Fangblade.

"The Fangblade's mine!" Kai yells angrily.

"Come back! It's too dangerous! The whole place is going to explode!" Cole yells.

"Then I better be quick!" Kai declares.

Lloyd and Garmadon make it up to our entrance, and I quickly go and hug Lloyd super tightly.

"I thought you were going to punch me or something but this is better." Lloyd murmurs.

"Shut up." I burrow into his cloak, hiding tears, and a huge blush that spread across my whole face probably.

"Leave it, Kai! It's not worth your life!" Jay yells.

"Not without that Fangblade!" Kai retorts, trying to pull his sword out of the rocks so he could reach the Fangblade that was embedded with it.

"But what about Kai? Kai?" Lloyd let's go of our embrace and stands dangerously close to the edge, calling out Kai's name.

"Kai, please! Think about Nya!" I scream desperately, standing next to Lloyd. The rock we were standing on shook and tore apart, leaving me and Lloyd to plummet down into the lava. Arms were extended for us to catch but curse our small heights and gravity, we didn't reach in time. Cole swung forward his scythe, but by then we fell down. I hug Lloyd tightly, sucking in a breath. Lava splashes around us, as we huddle together in the middle.

"No! Lloyd!" Garmadon yells.

"Kaylee!" Zane, Jay, and Cole scream.

"Dad! Dad! We're sinking!" Lloyd yells.

"Kaylee, fly out of there!" Jay pleads, and I really do try to fly up with Lloyd, but I was too scared, too fearful that if I push off, the lava would still catch up, and we'd both die.

"I-I-I can't!" I panic. "I'm too scared!" I look up to catch a final glimpse of Cole, Garmadon, Jay, Sensei Wu, and Zane running out of the volcano.

"Come on, why won't my power unlock?" Kai groans.

"Kai! Help us!" I scream, staring at him. He abandons the Fangblade, sheaths his sword, and jumps toward our rock.

"Come on. Let's get out of here." He takes both of us in his arms and lava starts bursting out around us, like geysers.

"But the Fangblade," Lloyd asks confusingly.

"Forget it. This place is coming apart. Ninja, go!" Kai does Spinjitzu and tries to fly out, stepping on each stone ledge. When we hop on the last ledge, freedom in our grasp, the ledge broke, sending me, Lloyd and Kai plummeting into the depths below.

"AHHHHHH" I scream, the hot air baking my face as I got closer and closer to the ground. This was really it huh? I couldn't even control my dumb fears to fly off. I stare at Lloyd, and I smile internally. If I was to die though, it was quite nice having Lloyd with me.

"Lloyd! Kaylee! I'm coming, don't worry!" Kai dives down, engulfed in a red crystal-like ball, and I gasp. True Potential. Kai's unlocked his True Potential. He grabs both of us, and flys out, just in the nick of time. The volcano explodes, sending us all the way up. Kai then floats us down on the Bounty, where he lets go of the force field. I happily dive into Zane's open arms.

"Dad? Is it really you?" Lloyd mumbles, looking at his dad's, well, eviller look.

"It is, son." Garmadon assurs.

"Dad? Why do you have four arms?" Lloyd asks, staring at the 4 arms.

"I'm glad your safe." Zane happily says.

"I'm glad I didn't turn into a shish kebab, along with Lloyd and Kai," I say and everyone laughs.

"They're gonna be okay." Cole laughs.

"Thank you, Kai." Garmadon smiles at Kai. We start walking to the Bridge. Once we get there, we sit down on chairs.

"But how did you survive? How did you discover the key to unlocking your powers?" Zane inquires.

"I knew when I had to make a choice. I wanted the Fangblade so badly, to prove I was good enough to become the Green Ninja. But then I figured it out. All of my training to become the best Ninja wasn't in preparation to become the Green Ninja. It was... to protect him and the Silver Ninja." Kai smiles at me and Lloyd. I gasp in realization and smile widely, turning to Lloyd with a happy expression.

"What? What is everybody looking at me for?" Lloyd looks around confusingly.

"That means..." Nya and Kai collect the Golden Weapons and put them in front of Lloyd. They start floating in the air, and Sensei motions for me to touch it. I hesitantly poke it and green lighting spreads around the Golden Weapons, with just a tint of silver in it. I quickly step back, awestruck. Lloyd steps out, and the weapons fall to the floor.

"Lloyd is the Green Ninja. I had thought it would be one of you, but it was him the whole time. It all makes sense. Not only have you four been chosen to protect the Golden Weapons, but also to protect the Chosen Ones." Sensei smiles, then frowns.

"That means..." Lord Garmadon sadly starts.

"The battle lines have been drawn, brother. Sadly, our family has only become more divided. Brother versus brother, and now, son versus father." Sensei takes Lloyd and puts an arm around him, the small family all frowning sadly.

"Hehe, this is heavy and all, but whatever happened to the Fangblade!?" Jay asks.

"Let's just hope it got lost in the lava," Cole says.

Okay, whenever I watch this episode when Kai so annoyingly insists on getting the Fangblade, I always think, WHAT ABOUT NYA YOU IDIOT KAI! I mean, he's so overprotective about Nya and then he's like: lol nope imma go risk my whole goddamn life to get a stupid blade and not care about how my sister feels if I die haha lol yolo. Like WTF! Also, I put another cool reference to season 4 and such when they (Ninja and Elemental Masters) can't summon their dragons because they're too scared. Also, the reason why I chose the green lighting to appear when the Silver Ninja touches the floating weapons is that I felt that how they found out the identity of the Silver Ninja was weak, so I changed that part. Even if the weapons floated by themselves, it meant that they were worthy and if the Silver Ninja touches it and it makes green lightning it means they are the Green Ninja. Well, I hope you liked it.
