Kaylee's POV

"Can I still fight?" Lloyd asks.

"Hmm, I'm sorry. That leg will take weeks to heal." Dr. Julien shakes his head.

"We don't have weeks." Lloyd moves his leg slightly, wincing at the pian.

"Are you sure I can't help?" I ask.

"Yes. since you hit your head, Sensei Wu doesn't want you to overwork yourself to save energy for the battle." I sigh.

"The battle between good and evil will be decided today," Sensei says.

"And we can't even get to the fight, much less get off this island." Kai throws a rock into the ocean.

"Ah. I wonder if I'll ever see Nya again." Jay sighs.

"Perhaps it's best to think of our friends as we remember them in our hearts, not as they are now," Zane suggests.

"But I don't remember my father any other way," Lloyd says.

"Your father loved you. It was the evil of the Great Devourer that corrupted him." Misako says.

"Sensei, I don't understand. The prophecy said the Green and Silver Ninja would defeat the Dark Lord. Why didn't we win?" Kai asks.

"I...don't know." Sensei sighs. If Sensei doesn't know, then we're doomed.

"Don't know? You're Sensei! You always know. You have a long white beard!" Jay points.

"Jay, it's not nice to bring up someone's age!" I snap.

"It's not even his age." He sighs.

"There must be some message to learn. A lesson. A word of wisdom. Just a word? Something." Kai interrupts us.

"For once, I'm afraid there is nothing to learn. Only that evil has won." Sensei sighs.

"If Sensei doesn't have a lesson, then I do. I used to be nothing but trouble, but then I met you guys. You took me in. Showed me the importance of being brave, the importance of being strong. And most importantly, being good. When this battle first began, when the First Spinjitzu Master fought the Overlord and his back was up against the wall and he knew it was all over, did he quit? No. He found a way to keep the fight going. He passed his Elemental Powers to us. Of all people, a bunch of kids. But there must have been a reason he chose us. I'd like to think it's because he knew we'd never back down, we'd never give up. We've learned the ancient ways of the ninja. And ninja never quit." Lloyd says.

"He's right. If that means we have to swim the sea to get off this island, then so be it." Kai starts wading in the ocean.

"The entire ocean? But I didn't bring my floaties." Jay sighs.

"I can fly us over," I suggest.

"Absolutely not. That amount of energy may very well knock you out for several days, and we need the Silver Ninja." Sensei shuts down my idea.

"Well, if you got a better plan..." Cole sighs.

"I don't, but he may." Zane points to his Falcon.

"Ooh, the Falcon. He must have found something." Dr. Julien gasps. Everyone is now climbing up a mountain on Kai's Fire Mech. We then arrive at the Temple of Light.

"You brought us back to the Temple of Light? I do not understand. We've already been here." Zane says.

"This location, I've seen this before. I just never understood it." Misako looks at a scroll with the Temple's layouts.

"I think I found something. It's just like the map!" Kai inserts his Elemental Blade inside a slot.

"There's one more over there." Sensei points to another.

"And here." Dr. Julien finds another.

"And over here." Misako gasps. Kai, Zane, Cole, and Jay each insert their Blades, opening up a hidden platform.

"What is it?" Kai asks as a golden fighting mech rose up from the ground.

"Cool." Jay gasps.

"It is the fighting suit the First Spinjitzu Master used when he battled the Overlord," Misako explains.

"You mean the First Spinjitzu Master once sat here? Haha, get out of here!" Cole sits on the mech. "How do you make this thing work?"

"Sadly, I think time has done her in. She's only a relic now." Dr. Julien sighs.

"If it worked for the First Spinjitzu Master, perhaps it will work for the next Spinjitzu Master?" Sensei asks.

"It's worth a shot." Cole climbs out so Lloyd can try it.

"Hey, watch out." Cole jumps off the mech.

"Hmm, nothing." The mech suddenly activates. "Whoa!" Lloyd gasps, the mech emitting a shiny golden hue.

"Whoa!" Cole smiles.

"Looking good!" Kai cheers.

"Killer!" Jay yells.

"Amazing!" Zane grins.

"Wow!" I stare in awe.

"How does the leg feel now?" Sensei asks.

Lloyd lifts up his broken leg. "Stronger."

"Well, I know how he and Kaylee are getting to Ninjago, but what about us?" Misako asks.

We hear a roar outside. "I know that sound. It's our Dragon!" Jay yells.

"I believe we just found our way off this rock." Sensei smiles.

We start to head back to Ninjago. I was riding on Lloyd's golden mech, on the back, kinda like surfing around the air. The others were on Ultra.

"I see Ninjago. We're not far away!" Kai points to purple light coming out of the clouds.

"Oh, you sure that's Ninjago?" I ask nervously, as we enter the clouds, into a dark, desolate wasteland.

"Wow." Jay gaps.

We see a building that wasn't there before. "What is that thing?" Kai asks.

"Garmatron." Sensei says.

"It's turned into a fortress?" Misako gasps.

"But where's the Overlord?" Dr. Julien asks. We land on the ground and hide.

"He's turned everyone evil." Kai gasps, looking at more people who had the same makeover as Nya.

"Oh, just like Nya." Jay sighs.

"This evil look is totally taking over the streets now." I joke, but seeing everyone's serious faces, I sigh. "Can't even take a joke now."

"And now they're helping his cause. I can't wait to see the look on the Overlord's face when he gets a load of us." Cole vows.

"Oh, my goodness." Jay gasps. The Garmatron blasts some Dark Matter toward our direction. "Oh, sweet mother may I."

"Lookout, Jay!" Kai yells, but the Dark Matter just hits the road, 3 feet away from us.

"Is that the look you were hoping for?" Zane jokes.

"Zane, no." Jay sighs.

"The Dark Matter is not following social distancing rules!" I yell. "6 feet apart you ugly skank!" Everyone looks at me weirdly. "Nevermind."

"The metamorphosis is complete. The Overlord's changed into his original form." Misako points toward the top of Garmatron, where a purple dragon was sitting.

"But we can't fly up there," Cole says.

"We have my father's Golden mech. We have to draw their fire to help Lloyd and Kalee use the mech against the Overlord." Sensei points to the Golden fighting suit.

"We hear you loud and clear." Cole smiles.

I stand on the hat of the fighting mech, as I and Lloyd take a different shortcut over to the Garmatron.

"You know, if we survive this, we should go out as maybe like, friends if you want, just the two saviors of this world, drinking Starbucks and having fun," I comment slightly blushing a bit. I should've just had the courage to ask him out, and say that I love him right then and there! I groan quietly, not noticing Lloyd's slightly hurt expression.

"Sure. Am I just a friend to you?" Lloyd asks.

"Of course not! You're my best friend. I'd lay down my life for you, and I'd be with you every step of this journey" I smile. "Just like we said when we were kids. I'm with you till the end of the line buddy. Till death do us apart." I look at Lloyd and smile, my heart trying to tell me: CONFESS TO HIM YOU DUMB-DUMB! THIS MAY BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE! I ignore the voices, staring at the Garmatron "Now let's do this!" I cheer.

"Time to bring out the big buttons." Lloyd smiles as he slashes at a group of Stone Warriors. "Ninja-!" The mech's arm gets shot off. I see Nya laughing and she keeps shooting at us until we fall over.

"Ugh. Oh, no! Ugh." Lloyd gasps, as we slowly get cornered.

"Ninja, go!" The guys jump out and start fighting for Lloyd and me.

"About time you arrived!" I laugh.

"Ah. I'm okay." Lloyd gasps.

"Yeah, but are we?" Jay asks as another blast of Dark Matter gets thrown straight at us.

"Ice!" Zane makes a shield to protect us from Dark Matter.

"Good job, Zane!" Kai compliments as Nya breaks the Ice shield. "Fire!" He shoots at Nya, and she retreats back up the building.

"I know we've always drawn a crowd, but this is ridiculous." Jay laughs.

"I think we need to file a warrant." I join in.

"How can you be making jokes at a time like this?" Kai asks angrily.

"Hey, if we're going down, might as well go down laughing," Jay says.

"If this is how we're going to go down, I'm proud to be fighting alongside my brothers and sister.." Zane smiles.

"Hear, hear." Cole cheers.

"Keep fighting! Unh. Never give up!" Lloyd yells.

"Ninja never quit!" Kai reminds us.

"Ninja, go!" We use Spinjitzu, but something knocks us down.

"We're doomed, guys." Jay gasps, as I make a shield for the Stone Warriors to stop attacking, but the army suddenly stops attacking.

"What happened?" Kai asks as I let down my shield hesitantly.

"They are frozen," Zane says, as the Stone Army begins making way for someone.

"All hail the Brown Ninja! What do you command?" Kozu yells.

"Brown Ninja?" Jay asks.

"Hehe, what's up, fellas? Looks like we all know who's in command now." Dareth smirks.

"The helmet controls the Army. Well done!" Cole compliments.

"Oh, that means we now stand a fighting chance!" Jay yells.

"We need to get to the top of that fortress. I may not be able to get there by myself, but with your help, I and Kaylee can face him." Lloyd asks.

"Ninja, go!" The guys activate their Elemental Blades.

"Where'd you get those? I want one." Dareth looks at the blades.

"You too, Brown Ninja." Kai gives him his Blade. "Today, you're one of us. Shall we do it once more, just for old times' sake?"

"Ninja, go! Army! About face! Stone Army, go!" Dareth commands as the army runs up the stairs, but Nya shoots them down. "You better get this back." Dareth gives Kai his Blade back. We begin climbing up the fortress, with me being at the front, so that I could shield us from surprise attacks against Nya.

"Lookout" Jay yells as Cole pushes away Jay and Lloyd. Cole gets hit with Dark Matter.

"Cole, come on. Get up!" Lloyd begs. I gasp, knowing that if we can't defeat the Overlord, he, Nya, and the other people of Ninjago will stay this way, forever.

"Ugh. I'm hit. Go! Go on... without me. Ugh." Cole groans.

"We need to move. Now!" Kai yells, taking Lloyd's other half, helping him up the stairs. Soon, another blast of Dark Matter is directed at us, but Jay pushes Lloyd before he gets hit with Dark Matter, taking the shot instead.

"Jay!" I and Lloyd yell.

"Get out of the way!" Jay orders, finally serious for once.

"Don't look! Just keep climbing!" Kai yells, Zane, taking Lloyd's other half before I could get there.

"Ugh. From my calculations, with the distance remaining to the top, the odds are that only two of us are going to make it." Zane calculates.

"Then let's beat the odds! Let's-" Lloyd says, but a growl interrupts him as Jay and Cole, corrupted by Darkness comes after us, holding up their Elemental Blades.

"Go on. I'll hold them back." Zane grabs his elemental blade, and I hurry to his side, supporting him. Cole and Jay both attempt to strike Zane, but he blocks the blades with his own. We continue up the steps and encounter a corrupted Nya inside a machine. She cackles maniacally.

"Nya!" Kai yells as he uses his blade to deflect her attacks. "I'm gonna draw her fire so you two can make it to the top," Kai says, deflecting her attacks.

"No, don't! We can do this together." Lloyd begs.

"No. There's only one Green Ninja. This is your and Kaylee's fight." Kai says.

"You're hurt, you hardly stand a chance!" Nya mocks Lloyd.

"Don't listen to her! Your the best person anyone's asked for!" I say, pushing him slightly past Nya and Kai.

"Hiya!" Kai breaks her machine. "Go, Lloyd and Kaylee!"

"We can do it, and if we don't make it out." I hesitate, then quickly kiss his cheek. "I'm glad I got to fight beside you." I smile, as we reach the top.

"I have come here to fight you!" Lloyd yells, face slightly tinted with red after I kissed him.

"You're in no shape to fight. It's over. Evil wins." The Overlord jeers.

"A ninja never quits!" I yell.

"You don't even have a sword!" He laughs.

"We don't need a sword." We surround ourselves, Lloyd with his Energy, I with my Magic creating a force field.

"Then all I have to say is... goodbye." The Overlord opens his mouth and blasts us with Darkness, nearly pushing us off the building.

"Oh no, oh no, oh no!" I blast the Overlord, and rise up, bathed in Silver light, as I realize to myself, True Potential. Lloyd's Energy force field grows, harming the Overlord. Lloyd gets bathed in bright, golden light, and he becomes the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master. His gi has changed to a golden color.)

"I am the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master!" Lloyd declares.

"No." The Overlord gasps.

The Overlord swipes at us and we are pushed back. Lloyd blocks his wing and is kicked backward. I counterattack, blasting him with silver magic. Lloyd kicks the Overlord, sending him back.

"No!" The Overlord yells. Lloyd summons his Golden Dragon. I do the same, creating a fusion dragon.

"You can't defeat me. Where there is Light, there will always be Shadow!" The Overlord taunts.

"Unless our light is bright enough!" Lloyd yells. The Fusion Dragon tackles the Overlord, and we are both sent falling downward. We nearly crash into Dareth, but the two dragons move upward.

"This. Ends. Now." Lloyd says.

"You can't defeat me!" The Overlord surrounds us with a cloud of Shadow, allowing himself to grow in size. The Overlord starts laughing and attempts to devour us, however, we start making a ball of gold and silver energy. "No. No! NO! NOOO!" The Overlord screams as we use our powers to defeat the Overlord. The Overlord implodes, and the fog engulfing the entire city disappears, with everyone who was corrupted turned back to normal.

"Hey, it's sunny now!" I comment, riding on the dragon.

"Yeah." Lloyd smiles.

"We better get down to the others, your new ninja gi is blinding my eyes!" I laugh, steering the dragon down.

"Lloyd! Kaylee!" They yell, as we jump off the dragon and make them disappear.

"You were brilliant." Misako hugs Lloyd, then me.

"Because of you two, Ninjago was saved. Because of you two, there will be a tomorrow." Sensei smiles.

"Nya!" I go and hug Nya.

"What's up girl!"

"We need to hang out later." I smile.

"Of course!' Nya laughs.

"Speaking of which, if the Overlord should ever decide to show his face again around here, we'll be ready," Kai vows.

"And next time, we'll be a little more humble," Cole says.

"And a little more wise," Zane adds.

"And with better catchphrases!" Jay laughs, and we all join expect for Lloyd.

"We will all miss your father," Misako says, but from behind us Garmadon emerges from a pile of rocks and approaches them limping. He has been purified by Golden Power. I gasp slightly.

"Lloyd. What... what happened?" Garmadon asks.

"Garmadon, is it really you?" Misako's eyes tear up.

"Dad? Oh, dad!" Lloyd runs and embraces him.

"Every ounce of evil and venom is... gone." Misako embraces Garmadon.

"I feel good. Aha! It's been so long." Garmadon smiles.

"Good to have you back, brother." Sensei smiles.

"Wu! Good to be back." The two brothers share a close embrace, before joining Lloyd and Misako.

"Aww, would you look at that? Who would have thought we'd ever see the day? You think we should dogpile them?" Jay asks.

"Let's give them their moment. They earned it." Kai smiles.

"It's been quite a ride, fellas." Cole smiles.

"You think there will be others?" Zane asks.

"I hope so!" I say, wistfully.

"I liked being a ninja. It's not like we have many other skills." Cole adds.

"Ha, speak for yourself, I'm looking forward to doing a little inventing, maybe some model building, dabble in poetry-" Jay lists off some things.

"Jay's right. We've come a long way and there's no reason why we can't use what we've learned in our everyday lives. And who knows? We may have gotten the balance right today, but there's always tomorrow. There's no way of knowing what's around the corner. But as long as there's something worth fighting for, there's always a need for a ninja. And we'll be ready." Kai declares as everyone looks toward the rising sun.

I just found out so much and I'm crying. Apparently the dragon skulls on Iron Baron's throne were Ultra's skulls, and the Hageman brother even said so. Then an idea for the ending of season 2. In original concepts for the ending, Master Wu, after seeing Misako and Garmadon reconcile, would leave, with the Overlord manifesting inside him as the screen faded to black. Also, I just realized Dareth has his own theme song whenever he appears so lol.
