Kaylee's POV

"What was that sound? The horns?" Dr. Julien asks as we reach our little camp.

"The Celestial Clock has reached zero. Garmadon's ultimate weapon is now operational and the Final Battle between good and evil has all but begun." Sensei explains.

"Now Lloyd must face his father," Misako says.

"But where's Nya?" Julien adds.

"She's been taken by the Overlord, but we'll get her back. At the moment, there are bigger things at stake, including all of Ninjago itself." Sensei replies.

"Who cares about Ninjago? Nya was my—uh, my...you know." Jay says.

"Unofficial girlfriend?" I help and Jay nods.

"And she's my sister. I know her being captured is tough, but she's tougher. Tougher than most of us. We'll see her again." Kai says.

"Lloyd, Kaylee, your focus gives strength to invoking the power of the Gold and Silver Dragon. You cannot lose faith now. Everything rests on your shoulders.

"But Sensei, you saw what happened when I tried to face my father. I-I froze. I can't fight him." Lloyd says.

"You must. It is written in the scrolls." Sensei says.

"Remember, your father is just as scared," Misako says.

"Then the battle will be decided by who is willing to fight." Sensei declares.

"And I'll be with you for each step," I say.

"You won't be alone. I'll be right behind you. You have my Fire." Kai summons his Elemental Blade.

"You have my Earth." Cole copies Kai.

"And my Ice."

"And Lightning."

"We're all in this together, kids." Cole smiles.

"What are we waiting for? Let's suit up." We prepare for battle. "I'm ready." We say, and we set off towards Garmadon's camp. "Get down, now." He orders.

"They won't know what hit them." Kai smiles.

"Time to chop wood." Jay declares.

"Ninja, go!" We all yell, breaking open the gates, but we find the campsite abandoned.

"Uh, where the heck is everybody?" Jay asks.

"Ugh, and here I was all ready to release the thunder." Cole groans.

"The ultimate weapon is gone. We're too late. Nya? Nya!" Kai yells as we begin to explore the deserted base.

"My Falcon friend wants to show us something," Zane calls, as The Falcon shows us tracks of a huge vehicle.

"Whoa. That's one big weapon." I gasp.

"It appears to be heading toward the coast," Zane says.

"But why? Wouldn't he try to use it on us?" Lloyd questions.

"Not on us. On Ninjago. He always wanted to turn our world into his own image. Now we know how it will be done." Sensei says.

"But if he starts turning things evil, the balance will shift and allow the Overlord to cross over into our world." Misako realizes.

"Then we have to make sure that my father never fires that weapon," Lloyd says, and we start running.

"Father!" Zane yells, and we stop.

"You go on without me. I'm an inventor, not a fighter. I'll only get in the way." Dr. Julien says. We continue on, not wanting to intrude on their father-son moment. Soon, Zane catches up to us.

"Um, is anyone else thinking about how this might be our final fight together?" Jay asks.

"Yeah." I and Kai say at the same time.

"Of course." Zane agrees.

"It's all I've been thinking about," Cole says.

"We've come a long way. It wasn't that long ago when Sensei first found us." Kai says.

"Hey. You remember that time Kai thought he was the Green Ninja?" Jay laughs, and we all join in, except for Kai.

"That was quite the memory." Zane chuckles.

"He was so not!" Cole laughs.

"Or what about when the Hypnobrai hypnotized Cole and we had to fight him?" Everyone laughs, expect me. When did that happen? I rack my brain for answers.

"We should've just kicked his butt." Kai laughs.

"Ha. You had to destroy my treehouse." Lloyd annoyedly groans, laughing.

"I literally have no memory of the event," I comment. "Oh wait. You guys grounded me!" I give them a sickly sweet smile. "After this, y'all are going down." I then burst into laughter, and everyone else follows.

"Or how about that time Sensei came out of the guts of the Devourer's belly-" We groan. "Drinking Tea?"

"Oh, that was so gross!" Cole cries.

"Yuck!" I exclaim.

"Yeah. I thought he was a goner." Jay laughs.

"Wrong again, Mr. Emptyhead." Sensei scolds Jay. We then see someone run in front of them.

"Whoa." Lloyd gasps.

"Something is wrong here," Cole adds.

"Where? Where?" Jay asks.

"Did I just see..." Kai starts

"I sense an evil presence," Zane says.

"Where? Where?" Jay repeats.

"Above us!" Sensei yells as someone uses Spinjitzu on Cole.

"Ow, my jaw. That hurt!" Cole groans.

Lloyd then gets hit by the Spinjitzu tornado. "Whoa!"

"No one does that to the Green Ninja!" Kai declares. The Spinjitzu stops, revealing Nya, ash grey and with purple eyes.

"Nya!" Jay yells.

"That is no longer Nya," Sensei says.

"What did he do to my sister!" Kai snaps.

"He must've used the ultimate weapon to turn her into his own evil image," Misako explains. Nya growls. I sigh, jumping to the side.

"Nya, we were only apart for one day, and you already found another bestie and got a makeover?" I feign hurt. "I feel betrayed." Nya flings her flail at me and I get knocked down. "Okay, don't mess with Evil Nya. got it."

"Garmadon must have sent her to slow us down. We have to stop them from firing that weapon." Sensei commands.

"What are we supposed to do? Use our Elemental Powers on her?" Cole questions.

"No! I don't want to hurt her." Jay stops Cole.

"Jay's right. We just have to find a way to keep her from-" Nya hits Kai with a flail. "Hurting us." He groans.

"Welcome to the club. You must've pissed Evil Nya off somehow." I smile weakly.

"Well, we should think of something before Garmadon fires that weapon," Zane says.

"Lloyd, Kaylee, you go up ahead with Sensei and Misako, while we take care of Nya." Cole orders.

"But you said you'd always be behind me," Lloyd says.

"We will be. We'll catch up as soon as we can." Kai says.

Jay uses Spinjitzu but was caught by Nya. "Oof. That hurt." He groans.

"The Ninja are right. We must go." Sensei says, and I start running.

"We'll still be behind you, son," Misako says, and that's when they join me.

"I was wondering when you'd join," I say.

"Well, I'm not that eager to fight my dad." Lloyd retorts.

"Me either, but hey. Make do with what we have I guess. Who knows? Maybe we'll knock the evil out of him, and he somehow survives."

"10 dollars," Lloyd smirks.

"Fine. Must you make everything a bet." I sigh. We then hear Garmadon laughing.

"Yes. Load the cannon. Finally, my darkest dream will now become reality." Garmadon is about to push the button.

"Father, don't!" Lloyd calls.

"Lloyd!" Garmadon gasps.

"What are you doing? Push the button!" The Overlord screeches.

"So, the balance has sent my son, his best friend, my brother, and my wife to try to stop me? It looks like my little surprise has kept the Ninja busy." Garmadon yells.

"Don't do it. If you alter the balance, it will allow the Overlord to cross over!" Misako reasons.

"The balance will be destroyed, and we will all pay dearly!" Sensei continues.

"Don't listen to them. They betrayed you." The Overlord yells.

"I don't want to fight you but I will if I have to. This is about more than just us. This is about what is right." Lloyd yells.

"Don't you see? I will never do what's right. The evil in my blood can never go away. It has corrupted every ounce of my fiber, every bone in my body. I am Lord Garmadon. Destiny took my family from me, and the only way for us to be together is to turn everything in this world into my image. Then you'll all see what I see, feel what I feel!" Garmadon monologues.

"It is not too late!" Misako yells.

"You've made your decision, and I have made mine." Garmadon goes to push the button.

"No!" We all yell.

"Garmatron warming up. In T-minus 20...19...18...17..." The computer starts.

"Warming up? You could've warned me it had to warm up!" Garmadon snaps.

"How could I? You were monologuing." The Overlord retorts

"...16..."

"We have to get to the top and shut it off!" I yell.

"Stop them!" Garmadon yells as Stone Warriors begin to attack us.

Misako starts blocking the Garmatron's attacks. "Go!" She yells.

"...11...10...9...8..."

"Come on, come on, come on," Garmadon whispers.

"...7..." We land in the Garmatron.

"No!" Garmadon yells as we start to attack, but I was held back by a Stone Warrior.

"...6...5...4...3..."

Kozu pins Lloyd. "Got you!" He smirks.

"...2...1." Garmatron fires a capsule of Dark matter.

"No!" Misako yells.

"We're losing." Lloyd gasps.

"I win!" Garmadon cackles.

"Again!" The Overlord yells.

"Again!" Garmadon orders.

"The balance is shifting," Misako says.

"Lloyd, Kaylee, you must focus and put a stop to this!"

We try to destroy the Garmatron with our powers, but Garmadon ejects us out. "Whoa!" We scream, falling into the sand.

"You think you can stop me!?" Garmadon launches another missile.

"Our worst fears," Sensei says.

"I tried." Lloyd sighs.

"I know," Sensei says.

"It is done. The balance has shifted." Misako declares.

"Uh, why is the Overlord laughing?" I ask nervously.

"Stop laughing now! This is my victory! What's happening?" Garmadon yells.

"You've helped offset the balance. Because of you, I can now cross over into your world. I'm finally free!" He laughs.

"Wait a minute! You stole that from my playbook! Well, you can forget about it. Ninjago is mine!" Garmadon yells.

"No. It was never going to be yours. It is mine!" He declares as Garmadon screams as a beam of light hits him.

"Sorry, we're late. Did we miss much?" Jay asks.

"Holy unholy." I gasp.

Garmadon sees his hands turn into claws. "What is happening to me?" He groans.

"Are you scared? I'm scared." Jay says.

"Something is very wrong here." He yells.

"The metamorphosis has begun!" The Overlord, possessing Garmadon's body yells.

"Metamorphosis? What does that mean?" Kai asks.

"Metamorphosis is a biological process by which someone or something changes into something new," Zane informs.

"Yeah, changes into something ugly." Cole retorts.

"Uh, no. Butterflies go through metamorphosis." I correct.

"Father..." Lloyd gasps.

"No, Lloyd. That is no longer your father." Sensei stops Lloyd.

"But what about the prophecy? It said I had to face my father." Lloyd asks.

"You still must, but now the Overlord has possessed him. Unlike your father, the Overlord will show you no mercy." Misako informs.

"You can do this, Lloyd!" Kai cheers.

"We're here and behind you all the way," Jay says.

"I'll always be right beside you!" I declare.

"He's tough, but you're tougher," Cole says.

"But we have to act before his evil gets more powerful," Zane informs.

"Let's do this," Lloyd says.

"Ninja, go!" We yell, charging. Sensei and Misako attack the Warriors before they reload the cannon.

"Jay!" Sensei yells.

"This one out of the ballpark!" Jay hits the Dark Matter toward the Endless Sea.

Kozu gets hit into the cannon, which fired him straight into Ninjago. We all laugh.

"Lookout, Jay!" Kai knocks out a Stone Scout and takes control of its blasters. "Sorry, only two can dance this dance." He says, shooting the Stone Warriors.

"This ends now!" I and Lloyd yell, landing on the Garmatron.

"All this time, everything has led to this," Lloyd says.

"Stupid kids. I've been planning this for thousands of years." The Overlord snarls.

"Eat green!" Lloyd blasts his Energy on the Overlord and I blast him with my magic too.

"Show him, guys!" Cole cheers. We continue fighting until I and Lloyd pushes him back into the jungle.

"Yes!" The Overlord comes flying back, unharmed. "No!" Jay gasps.

"Aw, come on! Does this guy have a problem with stealing things from people's playbooks?" I groan.

"The battle for good and evil. I can do this for eternity, but can you? Your friends can't help you now. You are all alone." The Overlord snaps.

"No, I'm not. My father is still in you. He will fight with us." Lloyd yells, and we both blast him.

"Lloyd? Stay strong." Garmadon gasps, fighting the control of The Overlord.

"Fool, you cannot defeat me!" The Overlord yells.

"We can try!" I yell.

"Fight, Father!" Lloyd yells.

"Lloyd!" Garmadon gasps.

"Fight him!" Lloyd yells.

"You will not...take..." Garmadon struggles.

"Fight him!" Lloyd yells.

"...my son!..." Garmadon turns back into The Overlord.

"Your father is...gone!" He overpowers us and throws us.

"Lloyd! Kaylee!" Sensei yells.

"My son!" Misako gasps. I quickly encase Lloyd in silver energy as he lands down safely, but a bit rough, so that he gets knocked out too. Once I land, I roll and hit my head against a small rock, and slowly blackout, not before seeing the Bounty being consumed by Dark Matter.

3rd Person POV

"Did we...did we win?" Lloyd asks, sitting up, remembering that Kaylee risked her life to save him.

"No. But you're alive." Sensei Wu replies.

"Kaylee?" He asks, fearing for his best friend/crushes life.

"She's, alive. But knocked out." Sensei Wu glances at her, blood dripping slightly from her head due to the impact on the rock.

"But the prophecy..." He falls when he tries to walk.

"Easy, kid. You've been through a lot." Jay helps him.

"My leg. Did we lose the Final Battle?" Lloyd asks.

"What's important is, we didn't lose you two," Sensei says.

Lloyd picks up a piece of the Bounty. "The symbol for destiny. Destiny showed us who was stronger today. But destiny also wanted us around to fight another day. We didn't lose the battle. Today, we just lost the fight."
