Kaylee's POV

We stare at the Devourer, who had just eaten our Sensei in one horrifying bite.

"Oh, maybe if we stand perfectly still..." Jay stutters, but the snake rears back and prepares to strike again.

"Run!" Kai yells. We all start running, but then Jay trips on a rock.

"Come on! Don't get eaten!" I help him up, then fly on the Bounty.

"Uh, hate to tell you this, but objects in the mirror are closer than they appear," Jay yells, as everyone got on the Bounty.

"Working on it. Blasters on full." We blast away, far from the snake.

"Whoo-hoo! Take that, you stupid snake!" Kai cheers.

"Uh, I think it heard you," I say as the camera shows the Devourer gaining speed on us.

"Nya, we gotta go faster. That thing is gaining on us." Kai commands.

"We're going as fast as we can. I'll try to make it to Scattered Canyon." Nya grunts.

"Probability of us making it that far is less than 8 percent." Zane calculates.

"Never tell me the odds!" Nya snaps.

"It's coming in for another attack! Portside!" Cole yells as the Devourer ate one of our thrusters.

"We're losing speed! We'll drop to the ground pretty soon!" Lloyd yells.

"Throw everything overboard," Nya commands.

"What?" We all yell.

"We need to lose some weight!" Nya cries. We oblige quickly throwing anything that weighed us down.

"Portside!" Lloyd yells.

"Man, he sure is hungry. Does anyone else think the Devourer looks bigger than it did before?" Jay comments.

"The more it consumes, the bigger it gets. Don't throw anything else overboard!" Cole realizes.

"Phew. We made it to Scattered Canyons. Hold on!" Nya yells.

"Ah, we lost him." Cole sighs in relief.

"You spoke too soon," I yell, as the Devourer bit off our engine.

"Abandon ship!" Nya cries. Lloyd grabs on the Samurai X suit, and he and Nya take off. The guys summon their vehicles, and I dive into the sand, then pull up, flying away.

"Goodbye, old friend." Zane sighs, as I land next to them.

"No!" We all cry, seeing the Bounty being snapped in half.

"Unh, it's gone," Cole yells, seeing the Devourer burrow into the sand.

"Oh, that was too intense. All that action makes you so thirsty." Kai sighs, flopping down on the grass.

"There's no time to rest. We need to warn people before it becomes bigger." Zane commands.

"Bigger? Bigger!? That thing in one big bite crushed our entire ship! We need to save as many as we can. Uh, uh, we'll find some kind of refuge, somewhere safe to hide. Ooh, the Serpentine Tombs. Yeah, they're underground. Sure, we'll be without sunlight, but they're perfect." Jay rants

"And what? Just give up?" I snap angrily.

"You know as well as I do, we have no chance at stopping that thing!" Jay retorts.

"Hey, stop it! Listen to yourselves. Is this what Sensei Wu would've wanted? Us fighting? Running and hiding? Giving up?" Kai asks.

"But he's not here anymore." Lloyd sadly looks down. I go and hug him.

"But his teachings live on. Sensei once told me it's not the size of a Ninja in a fight, it's the size of the fight in the Ninja. All this training, all of these battles we've had with skeletons and Serpentine. We've persevered through so much, we can't just give up now. A Ninja never admits defeat. A Ninja always picks himself up when he is down. Which is exactly what Sensei Wu would want us to do right now." Kai gives a motivational speech.

"That's one epic and motivational speech," I mutter.

"But how do we destroy a snake of that magnitude?" Zane asks.

"Yeah, it's not like we have an extra Sacred Flute lying around to charm it. Or wait, haha, how about one of our awesome Dragons? Oh, I forgot. They took off and left us high and dry. Or, hey, what about out Golden Weapons? Which will do nothing against a snake that size. Heh, oh, we are so hooped." Jay lies down on the sand.

"Ah, Jay's right. We would need a weapon so big." Cole sighs.

"Or an idea that's even bigger! Ha! Jay, you're a genius! You thinking what I'm thinking?" Kai cheers.

"Probably not, but go ahead." Jay lifts his head up lazily.

"There's no time. I'll fill you guys in on the way." Kai starts running.

"Wha—Where are we going?" Jay sits up.

"We're going to destroy that snake once and for all." Kai grins.

"Oh no." I sigh. We start following him, where Kai leads us to Jay's parent's house. He explains how we are using the Tornado of Creation to create a supercar weapon, that Kai dubbed the Ultra-Sonic Raider.

"Good idea, Kai. If the Devourer likes to consume, this place is a full-on buffet." Cole says.

"Looks like my parents are gone." Jay looks around.

"Good, better for us." Kai decides, unfurling the blueprints.

"It's so awesome." Jay gushes.

"And complicated." I roll my eyes.

"Zane, you still have a recording of the Sacred Flute in your memory bank?" Kai ignores us.

"It might've been destroyed earlier, but I have its exact tone recorded and ready for playback." Zane plays the recording.

"You actually recorded it. You know we've could have used it!" I yell.

"Good. And there should be enough spare parts around here to build this whopper. But we're gonna need to create our biggest Tornado of Creation yet. This is gonna be dangerous and we can't have anyone around." As Kai speaks, the mailman comes up.

"Ugh. What's he doing here?" Cole groans.

"Aah! You, Ninja, are always sneaking around, giving people heart attacks. You're too quiet." The postman yells.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. But you need to get out of here, now." Kai apologies.

"He's not gonna listen." I smile.

"Bet you a piece of candy," Lloyd replies.

"Deal." I grin.

"Uh, well, now, I too have a job to do, and that's delivering the mail, which I plan to do." The postman hands the mail to Jay.

"Told ya," I smirk.

"Dangit!" Lloyd sighs. "It's not over yet though!"

"Look, dude, my parents aren't even here. You really should be on your way." Jay tries to usher him out.

"Them, too? Uh, let me guess, are they at the 'Take Back Ninjago' rally too?" Postman rolls his eyes.

"Uh, 'Take Back Ninjago' rally?" Jay asks.

"What, you guys haven't heard? Everyone's getting together for a rally in the city. You know, to raise awareness about all the Serpentine problems that have been surfacing lately." Postman explains.

"Whoa, would you look at that. You guys are inspirational." Lloyd compliments.

"Wait a minute, you know what? You guys are right. Wherever you guys are, trouble is always around the corner. I think I'll be leaving now 'cause whatever you guys are up to, I want no part of it." Postman turns around. "Aah! S-s-snake!" He ducks in a trash can. We look up to see the Devourer.

"Huh, guess I also owe you candy," I comment.

"Hey! It's now or never, guys! Ninja, go! Fire!" Kai yells.

"Earth!"

"Lightning!"

"Ice!"

"Let's go hide." Nya pulls us behind the trailer. When the dust settles, the new ride shone like Kai's hair gel.

"Zane, now!" Kai yells, and Zane shoots the Devourer, missing it by an inch.

"Zane, what was that? This isn't target practice. You're supposed to hit him, not give him a haircut!" Cole exclaims.

"May I remind you we just magically whipped up this heap of junk?" Zane snaps.

"Well, I hope one of us created a reverse feature because...reverse!" The car goes back, as the Devourer struck.

"How's this for reverse?" Jay declares, shooting the Devourer.

"I need your help holding him in place," Zane calls.

"How's this?" Jay yells, using a grappling hook to hold the Devourer in one place. "Got him!" He yells.

"I got the other half!" I yell, summoning my rope, and slinging it over the Devourer like a lasso, and pulling it so it stayed still. "It'd be nice if y'all on the ground could help!" Lloyd and Nya grab the rope, all of us pulling.

"Before it gets away! Now, Zane. Now! Take the shot!" Kai cries.

"Charm your way out of this." Zane bellow, hitting him on his forehead.

"It's working!" Cole happily exclaims, as shot after shot was fired.

"It's got a weak spot!" Kai yells.

"What?" Cole asks.

"On its forehead. It's got a-" The Devourers tail smashes into the part of the car where Zane was, crushing it. The rope snaps, sending us falling on the sand.

"Zane!" We all cry.

"Is everybody okay?" Cole asks.

"Where's Zane?" Lloyd questions.

"Right here. That was close." Zane pops up, the half of his face non-existent.

"Too close." Kai agrees.

"Perfect. Now that was a total failure." Jay huffs.

"Not total. Did you guys notice on his forehead? It has a weak spot." We all nod.

"Oh, great. Let me make a note of that. Giant snake has wee, itty-bitty weak spot that'll be totally impossible to get at because the thing is too ridiculously huge to do anything to stop it!" Jay rants.

"Are you done?" Nya dryly asks.

"Ah, yes." Jay sighs.

"Because things just got worse. Look." Nya points to the Devourer, who was headed straight towards Ninjago City.

"It's heading toward Ninjago City." Zane deducts.

"That's where my parents are." Jay gasps.

"So is everybody else." Cole finishes.

"If it consumes the biggest city in all of Ninjago, there will be no stopping it!" Kai realizes.

"Come on! Let's go." I yell. We abandon the Raider, and fly, or drive to Ninjago City. When we arrive, the Devourer was preparing for a launch.

"Mom? Dad? Leave my parents alone! Lightning!" Jay cries, shocking the Devourer in his parent's car.

"Fire!" Kai yells.

Me, Nya, and Lloyd land on the roof of a building.

"You two stay here. As the Chosen Ones, you can't get hurt." She takes off, but Lloyd latches on her leg and climbs up in the shotgun seat.

"Are you kidding me?" I ask, but a roaring of dragons made me stop. I gasp. "It's the guy's dragon!" It lands on the roof I was on. "Ultra." I smile. I go on top on Ultra, and take off. I see that Nya and Lloyd were in the mouth of the Devourer. "Rocky go!" I say, and Rocky obliged, firing rocks at the Devourer, opening up an escape hatch or Lloyd and Nya.

"Ice!" Shard shoots a wave of ice.

"Fire!" Flame shoots fire.

"Lightning!" Wisp shocks it.

"Earth!" Rocky strikes once more. The Devourer retreats, but then its tail smashes into us, sending us spiraling to the ground. I summon my rope and manage to swing away before the dragon crashes.

"Are the dragons okay?" I ask.

"I'm not sure." Cole sadly glances at Rocky.

"What now?" Nya asks.

"You came back!" Lloyd cries as we all look up to see Lord Garmadon.

"Give me the weapons. I am the only one who can handle the power of all four weapons at once. It's the only thing that'll defeat the Devourer." Garmadon reasons.

"Uh, I thought we were supposed to do everything in our power not to let him possess the weapons." Jay snaps.

"I've run every other scenario through my servers. It appears to be the only way." Zane concludes.

"Give me the weapons," Garmadon asks.

"Kai?" We all look at him.

"Only I can destroy it. Or prepare to watch-" Garmadon starts.

"Quit your yammering and just do it. When you have a chance to make the blow, it has a weak spot near his forehead." Kai gives him his sword.

"Uh, I don't think this needs to be said, but we're gonna need these back." Jay snaps.

"I'll do my part. You just make sure he stays in one spot." Garmadon cackles and runs away.

"Stays in one spot? Stays in one spot!? How are we supposed to do that?" Jay cries.

"Don't forget: we're Ninja." Kai smiles, and explains the plan. We all nod.

"Okay, let's make sure the Devourer stays in its place. I just need to lasso it and tie it to its butt. It can't be that hard." I mutter under my breath, as I hide in the shadows of a building, where Lloyd and Nya were supervising. "Will they just hurry up?" I mutter, pacing nervously, rope in hand. The Ultra dragon swung by followed closely by the Devourer. It latches on to its tail, and I swing the rope, quickly swinging it over the Devourer, tying it up. I fly up to the building and land.

"We did it! Now, where's Garmadon? He's not gonna hold on for much longer." Cole cheers. We high-five each other.

"Look! Dad!" Lloyd yells, pointing his hand to the top of the tallest building in Ninjago, the same building we wrapped the Devourer around.

"You are the reason evil runs through my blood. You bit me once. Now feel what it's like to be bitten back." Garmadon declares.

"Go get him, Dad," Lloyd whispers.

"Vengeance will be mine!" Garmadon yells, diving down, and striking the Devourer. It explodes everywhere, spreading green goo all around. I throw up a quick shield to protect us, and after that happened, we started to walk down.

"He did it." Jay gasps.

"No, we did it!" Cole says, smiling.

"I don't see my dad." Lloyd looks around.

"He should be around here somewhere," Kai adds.

"Yeah, somewhere."

"Your analysis is incorrect. He is not here." Zane informs.

"Then our Golden Weapons are gone too. Well, isn't that convenient?" Cole sighs.

"Look, his footsteps!" Nya points to a pair of footsteps, running away from everything.

"I have a feeling you'll see your father again soon," Kai confirms.

"I know, but that's what I'm afraid of." Lloyd falters.

"Ah, Sensei Wu!" Cole points to a mass of goo.

"What the..." I stutter as Sensei Wu pops out of the goo, alive.

"Wow!" Nya gasps.

"Ha! Would you look at that? He survived!" Jay laughs. We all run down to him happily.

"I can't tell you how glad I am to see you. The Devourer left a bad taste in my mouth." Sensei pours a cup of tea and drinks it. "Ah. Much better. And still hot."

"It's good to have you back, uncle. But my father left and he took the Golden Weapons." Lloyd explains sadly.

"Ah, very true. The ability of the weapon is truly great, but the ability to better oneself makes you limitless." Sensei states.

"I couldn't have said it any better myself." Jay laughs.

"Besides, we have what is most important: you and Kaylee." Kai noogies Lloyd.

"The pupils have become the masters." Sensei smiles.

"Am I really gonna have to fight my father one day?" Lloyd asks.

"One day. But today we can feel good that Ninjago is saved, for tomorrow you will train for the day. Good will finally face evil and a final outcome will be decided for all of time." Sensei sighs.

"Uh, but don't worry. We're gonna teach you everything we know." Kai promises.

"And make sure you're prepared for that fight," Jay vows.

"Because as we all know, good will always stand up to evil," Cole remarks.

"And Ninja will always stand up for what is right." Zane preaches.

"Because Ninja never quit!" I cheer.

"Go, Ninja. Go!" We jump into the air happily.
