Chapter 12- Various Viewpoints
Since I haven't updated in forever and a half, I wanted to update two days in a row to make up for it, but it didn't work out that way. Sorry. The only reason I'm updating now is because I'm a little charged, and my HR teacher isn't screaming at me to put my laptop away already.
This chapter's going to be a little weird because it's told from *does quick count* 4 different character's viewpoints. So, yeah. This only happens twice, so enjoy it.
I put a youtube link to a song mentioned in this part because it's an amazing song and if you haven't heard it, you definitely should hear it.
Also, as I mentioned to iipotato in a comment on my CheckmateShipping oneshot (read it by the way), as soon as I finish this fanfic, I'm going to start a new one inspired by said oneshot. Do read it once it's up.
Wow that was a long AN. I bet none of you fans that I don't have aren't even going to read this, even if you did exist...

Touko
"May I ask why you came in through that entrance?" the feisty Rocket boy guarding the door asked.
"Because we were running some errands for Giovanni when we heard about the party," I lied off the top of my head.
He sighed and stepped aside. "Whatever." I lifted the bead curtain draped over the mouth of the cave and entered, with everyone else behind me.
The cave was lined with crudely painted benches. On one end, a DJ stood behind a laptop connected to speakers, which were blaring "Domino" by Jessie J. Kyouhei darted onto the dance floor and started dancing and singing along in an obscenely offkey tone. People standing nearby stopped, stared, and laughed.
"He's your brother!" Dawn yelled over the music. "Shouldn't you tell them to stop?"
"But they're not laughing AT him," I replied. "They're laughing WITH him."
Suddenly, the music changed to the Cha-Cha Slide, and everyone moved into a line formation. I had to admit, I'd never really danced before. I hadn't gone to the dances at the Trainer's School, since nobody had really asked me. Plus, I had rather big feet, which doesn't help much. I kind of wanted to sit down on one of the benches, but Kyouhei grabbed hold of the big R on my shirt and dragged me into the line.
For most of the song, I stood there getting the whole thing wrong and nearly tripping over my own feet, until Kyouhei shouted, "You can at least do this part!"
Almost immediately after he said that, the speakers blared, "FREEZE! Everybody clap your hands!" followed by a complete chorus of hands clapping. He was right- I could at least do this part.

Hibiki
The Cha-Cha Slide faded out, and the DJ looked over. He didn't really seem to be enjoying his job too much. "All right, everyone," he said with a surprising amount of enthusiasm. "It's time for a slow song. This is your chance to dance with that special someone, so what are you waiting for?"
No sooner had he stopped than a girl had wandered over to me. Well, might as well seize the day, I thought, and walked over to her.
I tapped her on the shoulder. "May I have this dance?"
"Oh, sure," she said, putting her hands on my shoulders as the speakers started to play "We Are Young." Or at least I think that's what it was. "You must be new," she pointed out. I nodded, unable to speak.
On one of the benches Touko, Haruka, and Kyouhei sat together. "NICE JOB!" Kyouhei whispered very loudly, giving me a thumbs-up as I caught his eye. I grinned back at him.
All too soon, the song began to end, and she started to walk away. I managed to stop her first. "What's your name?" I asked her.
"Carolina," she said. "You?"
"Hibiki," I said, smiling.
"That's a nice name. Well, then, I guess I'll be seeing you, Hibiki."
"You got it." I made my way over to a bench and sat down.

Dawn
As the Cha-Cha Slide faded out and the DJ did his spheal, I found myself standing alone while others partnered up. At least, until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Red. Even with a Rocket uniform and purple hair, I could tell it was him. "Okay," I said, and the music started.
As the chorus began, I noticed that he was trying to pull me closer. I suppressed a smile and leaned my head against his chest, and we danced like that for the rest of the song.
"Am I hallucinating, or were you just dancing with Red?" Haruka asked as I sat down next to her on a bench.
"I was dancing with Red," I replied, giggling a bit. "I just never thought something like this would ever happen, cause I'm, you know..."
"Single like a Pringle?" she finished.
"Something like that."
"Me too." She sighed. "So, what's it like, dancing with a guy?"
"A-MAY-zing!" I said, grinning.

Haruka
Once the Cha-Cha Slide ended, I walked over to a bench and sat down, too nervous to ask any guys to dance, and not expecting any guy to ask me to dance. I was sitting there and watching when I heard heavy footsteps running up to the DJ.
"Uncle, there are people here who aren't Rockets! Can I dispose of them? Teach them a lesson with my Houndoom, which just evolved by the way?"
Nobody cares about your fucking Houndoom, I thought.
The DJ, who suddenly looked a lot like the picture of Giovanni Professor Birch had shown me the day before I left, let out a sigh. "Now listen, Proton. This is the only party we're getting. If we have to call it off, it'll be your fault, and then you'll have to face your sister's wrath."
"But-"
"Do you want to face your sister's wrath?"
"No, Uncle."
"That's what I thought. Now go enjoy the damn party. Like I said, it's the only one we're getting."
"Fine, Uncle." The boy sighed and walked away.
We're safe for now, I thought. But Team Rocket isn't. As long as we're on Mt. Silver, Team Rocket is not safe.
