Joey's P.O.V.

   "Joey, get your faggot ass out of bed we have church today! Don't let anyone know you are gay. I don't want your dumb, pathetic choices reflecting on me," this is how my mom normally wakes me up. She doesn't have to wake me up for school luckily for a while. This is because summer just started. And believe me, I won't miss her waking me up for school for 3 months.

   We just moved to Boston and I have to to say I love the city. I was hoping when we moved we wouldn't have to go to church anymore but that was just my dreams. So, today we are going to a new church. My mom wants to get the forms to become a member so we are going a hour early. My mom told me the preacher had a son and that maybe I should be his friend so I would become more masculine.

   Why does she want to change me? If this so called 'god' created me, I don't think he would hate me. I just think it is people's ignorance that makes them hate me. But I would never tell my mom that. She may hit me.

   On the drive to the church my mom is lecturing me on why I shouldn't be gay. Maybe I should tell her that I changed my mind and I am straight just to get her off my back. Yeah, i may do that later. We pull into the parking lot and only one car is here. I would assume it is the preacher's and his so called 'masculine son'.

   We get out of the car and walk in. I see two people. One is obviously the preacher. The other is just this perfect boy. He looked to be around my age. He was tall with raven hair and striking green eyes. His lips were plump and his nose was the most perfect shape. He. Looks. Perfect. Before I can even compose myself they are walking towards us. The preacher is talking and all I get out of it is that the boy's name is Daniel. Daniel Preda. Once my mom introduces me, I shake the perfect guy's hand. Wow. I think I just blushsed.

   My mom walks away from is and says something as she walks away but I never take my eyes off the boy. The preacher walks to his office. Well I guess this is my chance to get to know Daniel.

   I wonder if he is gay too...
