Daniel's P.O.V.

I have only been driving for a few minutes. But with those few minutes I have only thought about one thing, I miss Joey. It is like we are inseperable. I really didn't want to leave but I also didn't want to be there when his mom got home. How would we explain that?

I pull into my driveway and my heart sinks to the floor. My dad is already home...
I get out of my car slowly, I really am not looking forward to this.

My hand trembles as I put the key in the lock to open the door. I grab the handle and turn it until the door opens. Once inside I turn around to shut the door. But as I am shutting the door, my knees get knocked out from under me and my face slams into the door.
"Why weren't you home?" My dad says inraged.
"You know I could ask you the same thing, dad," I say bringing my hand to my nose to see if it is bleeding. I pull my hand away and see the red liquid on my hand.
"Don't play smart with me shit head. Tell me where you were?" He says slapping me across the face, knocking me even further down.
"I was at my friends house. We watched some movies and just talked. Okay?" I say trying to make up an excuse so I wouldn't get hit again.
"Tell me the motherfucking truth before I beat it out of you," he says squatting onto his knees.
"You don't have to beat it out of me because I just told you," I say flinching a little as he moves his hand on the floor.
"Okay. We are going over to the Graceffa's at 2. Then we will be eating at 5. So go clean up. And if you tell anyone what just happened, I will do this to you," he says as he stands up and kicks me full force into the ribs.
"OHKHAHY!" I yell. You see, I tried to say 'Okay' but he knocked the wind out of me so yeah. He walked away from me, leaving me in pain on the ground. I hear his door shut as I guess he is going to get ready.

Fuck. I say to myself as I stand up. I make my way to my room and just collapse on my bed. So, let me get this straight. We are going over to my dad's secret girlfriend's house that is also the same house as my secret boyfriend? Wow, great. This should turn out lovely.

I crawl to my bathroom and look in the mirror. My nose isn't broken, thank god, but it is bruised quite terribly. Good thing I actually own some makeup. My mom gave it to me when she was still here. It was for when I was little and he would beat me. Whenever I went to school I would put it on to hide the marks. Which now that I think about it I shouldn't have. You know what, I am not going to cover them up. I will let them see them for what they are. Because I didn't just fall. My dad beat the shit out of me.

After I shower to wash all the blood off, I get dressed into something to impress Joey. I wear tight, blue skinny jeans, a black and white polka dotted top, and a jean jacket. I style my hair into it's normal quiff and then brush ny teeth. By the time 1:30 rolls around I walk downstairs and am met by my dad.
"So what are we going to say when they ask about your bruise, Daniel?" He says basically spitting fire at me.
"Well the truth would hurt huh?" I say returning his question with another smart-ass question.
"Just say you fell getting out of your car. Lord knows they probably won't care about it anyways," he says opening the front door and walking to my car. Okay so evidently I am driving. But he is wrong about them not caring. He is so wrong.

The whole drive there was silent. And honestly, it was a blessing. I really can't stand the sound of my dad talking, never the less right now. We pull into the driveway and he pops out of the car immediatly. I take a deep breath and let it out before opening my door and stepping out. I lock my car and we walk up to the door. I check my phone fore the timr. 2:00, right on schedule. We ring the door bell and wait for someone to open the door. So dinner isn't until 5. So we are just going to talk for three hours? Here we go...
