(POV Mercury)

(Monday 4pm)

(Location: Vale Docks)

Cinder, Roman, Neo, Emerald and I all sat around a table in one of our old bases. We currently weren't alone as about twenty ex white fang members- who now serve under 'Dedsec' -all began unpacking and packing crates. Before we got here a ton of weapons were stored in here, now they are all being sent somewhere to be repaired or remade, I can't remember what Wrench said, all I do know is that Cinder didn't have a look of happiness, as her status now meant nothing, I looked around while waiting and saw Lena standing at the back door, wearing her now fixed cloak, she looked around confused about what is going on, her and I made eye contact, so she quickly walked over and ducked next to me.

"What's going on?" She asked quietly.

"We are under new management," I replied, Cinder slammed her hand on the table, nearly cracking it while also gaining the attention of some of the soldiers.

"So who's managing us?" She asked while emphasizing the word managing.

"Someone who we have bad history with," Roman said, and just like some sort of calling, here came Wrench walking around a corner, holding a clipboard and a pen.

"Right, we need to pick up the pace people, we've got people to arm," Wrench said, he looked up and stopped like a deer in headlights, his attention focused on Lena and hers on his.

"Babe-" I said, but in a split second, she was standing in front of Wrench, with a blade to his throat, seeing that the soldiers all grabbed their weapons and aimed them at Lena.

"Good to see you too Lena," Wrench said, his hands stuck to his clipboard.

"Lena don't," Cinder called out, Lena hesitated before her blade vanished.

"Why is he here?" Lena asked.

"Like your boyfriend said, under new management," Roman said, leaning a bit further back on his chair, Lena turned back to us, a look of shock washed over her and I think a hint of anger too.

"There is no way he is leading us," Lena said, pointing at his face, Wrench slapped her hand away, causing her to look back at him.

"You're right, I'm not leading you, I'm leading them," Wrench said, point to all the faunus currently aiming all types of weapons at Lena.

"You can put the guns down, the girl can freeze time, your bullets mean nothing, but I appreciate the thought," Wrench said, all of them immediately either holstering their guns or putting them in the crates.

"I'm not being on the same side as him," Lena said.

"Fine there's the door," Wrench said, pointing to the same door Lena entered through.

"Do you just attract enemies Wrench," A voice called out, looking around, I saw the same man who confronted us a few days ago, standing up high on the metal walkway, he wearing the same outfit like before, he jumped over the railing and landed on the ground, he stood up tall and Wrench had a more relaxed posture now.

"Sir," Wrench said, but the guy was focused on Lena, his face was emotionless for a good few seconds before a grin formed on his face.

"You're the girl from the train, I must say you did a fine job," He said.

"Trying to get a rise out of me too?" Lena asked.

"No I wanted to say well done, you managed to take down one of my best swordsmen, if I hadn't swooped in, he would be dead," He said, Lena taken aback, rarely does she get praised from someone who isn't me.

"You don't seem angry for what I did," Lena said.

"Why would I, he's alive and now we fight together, I know you can handle yourself, so I'm happy to have you fight by my side," He said, giving a calm smile, he held out his hand which Lena slowly accepted, he shook her hand and let go of it.

"Don't you mean fighting for your side?," Emerald asked, his attention now on us.

"No, I'm not a big fan of letting my people fight my battles for me, I wouldn't ask my people to do something that I wouldn't," He said, hearing this kind of got to me, as most of the time me and the others are sent out to do business that Cinder doesn't want to do.

"What about stealing dust and robbing trains?," Roman asked.

"I have done those things and if my assistance is required I will do it again," He said.

"How come you're here?" Wrench asked.

"I came to see how our new friends were doing," He said, Emerald snickered at his remark, getting the man's attention.

"Oh please, us as friends, I highly doubt that," Emerald remarked.

"And why's that," He asked.

"Well you're our boss now, no one is friends with their boss," Emerald said, the man looked at her for a moment, saying nothing.

"You mean to tell me that you don't consider Cinder here as a friend?" He asked.

"More a leader than a friend," Emerald told him.

"Well if it makes it easier, you can still call her your leader, consider me the outsider who points you in the direction that you are needed," He said.

"Whatever man," Emerald replied, her body then shook which the moment after, Roman fell back off his chair, causing Emerald to begin laughing.

"Oh you brat," Roman said, standing up whilst grabbing and placing his chair up right and sitting back down.

"Both of you shut up," Cinder commanded, Emerald stopped laughing and Roman just looked pissed. When looking at our new boss, I could tell he wasn't happy, whether it was with how Roman and Emerald were or how Cinder reacted, I don't know.

"You should try being nicer to your friends Cinder," The guy said, Cinder stood up and looked the guy in the eyes.

"I will not take advice from a nobody like you, you may have the White Fang, but you have no real power," Cinder said, the guy raised his right arm with his palm open, when he clenched his hand, a long sword appeared in his hand, surprising the others and I.

"I have powers that you will never understand, you haven't seen what I can truly do," He said, before Cinder could say anything Wrench tapped the guys shoulder.

"What is it Wrench," He asked.

"Someone was arrested," Wrench said, causing the guy to turn around quickly.

"Who?" He asked.

"James' girlfriend," Wrench said.

"Okay, what do we do?" He asked.

"Well I've got a friend who might be able to help, he owes me a favor," Wrench said.

"Okay, let's go then, everyone is doing their jobs," He said, his sword disappearing as both of them walked towards the exits.

"What about us?" Cinder asked.

"Find something to do," The guy yelled back, walking out of the building.

"I feel bad for whatever cop has to deal with that guy," Emerald said.

(POV James)

Walking through the streets, I heard nothing going on around me, just the remaining members of Team CFVY, Matt and I were all walking to the station where Velvet was at, to think my morning was gonna be like this.

After walking for a good bit, we finally made it to the station, Fox opened the door and let us all in. Once inside the officer at the desk looked at us all, confused a bit.

"Can I help you kids," The male receptionist asked.

"Velvet Scarlatina, where is she?" I asked, trying my best not to just flip this place upside down.

"Oh you're the faunus' friends," He said, I slammed my right hand on the counter, causing him to jump a bit in his seat.

"You listen right now, I'm not in any mood to play any games, now tell me where the fuck my girlfriend is," I screamed, causing a few officers to look our way, a male cat faunus officer walked over to us.

"Hey calm down okay," The officer said.

"Calm down, you've got my best friend who is also his girlfriend in lockup, so how the hell are we meant to be calm?" Coco questioned.

"Hey, just tell me her name and I might be able to help," The officer said.

"Velvet Scarlatina, rabbit faunus," I said, the officer's look went from calm to sort of distraught.

"Oh her," He said, with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Fuck you mean 'oh her'?" I asked.

"She's in lockup for assaulting an officer," He told us, now I was just getting angrier.

"Bullshit, she doesn't go around assaulting officers," I said.

"Oh but she did," A rough voice called out, looking around I saw a white human officer, he was about 6'1, medium build and was bald, looks to be in early thirties.

"Fucking bitch decided to play rough," The guy said.

"You better watch that fucking mouth," I said to him.

"Oh, threatening a police officer huh, you can be arrested for that," He said, with a shit eating grin on his face.

"And you can be fired for falsely arresting my client," Another voice called out from behind me, I turned around and saw a tall, dark skinned man, he was well dressed, wearing a dark blue tuxedo, his hair was an actual nice clean comb over, his face had a small amount of stubble to.

"Who the fuck are you," The racist asked.

"I'm Miss Scarlatina's lawyer, and since you arrested my client and I wasn't called right away, that means one of two things happened, either my client didn't call me once she reached here which I doubt," He said, walking past the others and I while standing right in front of the arresting officer, staring him in the eyes, "Or you arrested my client and decided not to allow her to extend her rights," He finished.

"She didn't say she had a lawyer," The officer said, sort of scared.

"Oh so you questioned my client without me present, I'm gonna have a field day with this," The lawyer said.

"She didn't ask for a lawyer," The officer said.

"Oh I doubt it, a faunus being arrested for quote 'assaulting an officer', I highly doubt it," The lawyer said to him, seeming to be the only one here to actually scare the officer in question.

"While I've got you, name and badge number?" The lawyer asked.

"Officer Steve Kennedy, badge number 2956," Steve said.

"Now Steve, let me see my client and the evidence you have on this charge, or I will slam this place with every lawsuit in the book," The lawyer said, so both he and Steve left the room and went to the back, just then my scroll vibrated, I took it out of my pocket and saw a text from Wrench.

'Hope you like Ezikael, he owed me a favor so I called it in, he will get her out' The text said, I replied thank you, which right after Wrench's text disappeared, then mine.

"You can all wait around if you like," The faunus officer said, the others and I all did just that.

(Time Skip 1 hour)

After a long time waiting, I saw both Ezikael and Velvet walking our way, once I stood up she hurried over and wrapped me in a big hug, I noticed some bruises on her face and even a cut.

"Are you okay?" I asked, wrapping my arms around her, she just nodded while keeping her face pressed against me.

"Mr Creed," Ezikael called, "Please understand I will make sure the right actions are taken, so that racist bastard won't get away with it," He finished.

"Believe me, I know," I replied, I could see in the back, the arresting officer staring at us angrily, I just stared him in the eyes as the others began to leave, both Velvet and I followed behind, when no one but the officer was looking, I slid my thumb across my neck, his eyes widened as I walked out and let the doors close behind me.

"Thank you again for helping our friend," Coco said.

"Please it was my pleasure, I know what it's like to see a loved one discriminated against just for being a faunus," Ezikael said.

"How did you find out about this?" Matt asked, Ezikael adjusted his tie before looking at Velvet with a caring smile.

"That's lawyer client confidentiality," Ezikael said, with that he walked away.

"What a strange guy," Matt said.

"But nice," Fox replied. All six of us then began walking back to Beacon, Velvet made sure to stay as close to me as she could. I made sure to comfort her in this time.

(Time Skip 1 hour)

After the walk and the flight, we finally made it back to Beacon, I made sure during the walk back, to keep Velvet close, even on the Bullhead she was very close, while we walked down the halls, I could see Team CRDL, before they could even make a shitty remark, the others made sure to stand between us, Matt even had flames surrounding his hands, Velvet and I continued till we made it to her dorm, I opened the door and led her to her bed, which she promptly laid down in, I knelt down next to her.

"Are you okay?" I asked, she was quiet the whole time from the station till now, but once she looked me in the eyes, she began to break down, crying a ton. I got into the bed with her and cuddled with her, pulling her as close as I could, she just kept crying into my shirt.

"It's okay Velvet," I said, lightly patting her on the head.

"I was so scared, I just wanted to go out and buy you a gift, and yet once the officer got out of his car, he was so violent with me," She cried out, hearing this made me angry, no...it made me furious, but I kept these feelings hidden, trying my best to make her feel better.

"Don't worry Velvet, it'll never happen again," I replied, when I looked down to her, she looked up, our eyes meeting again.

"As long as I'm around, no one is going to hurt you ever again, not Cardin, not his team, not any form of Grimm, I will protect you for as long as I live," I said, she was still crying but had a smile, she pulled me in for a kiss, which I accepted, we stayed like that for a bit, before parting from the kiss.

"Will you stay with me ?" She asked.

"Of course, but I need to change into my pj's first," I replied, she slowly let go of the hug, I stood up and quickly gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"I'll be back asap," I said. Once I left the room, I saw the other members of CFVY.

"Is she doing okay?" Yatsu asked.

"Yeah, she wants me to spend the night with her," I said.

"You're always welcome too, anything to keep her mind at peace," Coco replied.

"Awesome, I'm just gonna get my pj's and come back," I said.

"Of course, we'll be at the cafeteria if you need anything," Coco told me. I nodded before parting ways, once I got to my dorm, I opened the door and saw Matt, Eric and Sebastian.

"Everything okay?" Eric asked.

"Yeah I'm just gonna spend the night with Velvet," I replied, I walked to my dresser and began looking for my things, no one had said a word for a good minute.

"So...what's the plan?" Matt asked.

"Plan?" I questioned, I stopped what I was doing and looked back at him.

"Yeah man plan, I know you aren't going to let that officer get away with it," Matt replied.

"At the moment nothing, but I will be taking action," I said.

"Make sure you hurt him physically," Sebastian said.

"I will, I'll make sure he feels the same thing she felt at that moment, but not now," I said, I went back and grabbed my things, put them in my bag and went to leave, but was stopped by Sebastian.

"You let me know the time and place, you'd do the same if it was Alice," He said, I nodded and left, going back to Velvet's I noticed her in her pj's which was a shirt and pants, both having little flower patterns on them, she still had tears, but not as many, I went in her bathroom and quickly changed, once I got out she looked at me with a small blush on her face, I walked over and got under the covers with her, like before we held each other closely.

"I love you James," She quietly said.

"I love you to Velvet," I replied. During our moment of silence, I heard quiet breathing, when I looked at her, she was already asleep, a small smile formed on my face, I closed my eyes and began to drift off.

(Wednesday 6pm) (Location, Emerald Forest, Castle)

After spending the night and day with Velvet, I was able to get her to spend time with her team, while they distracted her, I got the guys to come with me to the castle, currently in the planning room waiting for Y/n, which thankfully he entered the room, but not in his usual royal attire.

"So, what are we doing?" Y/n asked.

"How about we kill the bastard, plain and easy," I suggested.

"James, I get you're upset, but if he dies, you or Velvet are the first people they will suspect, you'll both be under a microscope," Wrench said.

"That group you made, it fights for justice right?" Y/n asked.

"Mostly yeah, why?" I asked him.

"Well, what if Dedsec heard about what happened, and since the man in question wasn't punished, you take matters into your own hands," Y/n suggested, which didn't sound too bad.

"That's a good plan," Wrench said.

"So a classic beat down, I can get behind that," Eric said, cracking his knuckles.

"Where are we gonna do this beat down?" Matt asked.

"What about his home, all of us go there and we beat that bastard till he barely breathes," Sebastian said, taking a few of the others by shock, even me but I'm for this mentality.

"I've got an idea," Wrench said, as he tapped on his scroll.

"What?" I asked.

"Well, I'm currently looking at this dude's bank account, he apparently spends every Wednesday night at some club," Wrench said.

"Which one?" I questioned.

"One moment...here we go, it's called, oh fuck," Wrench said, confusing us.

"There's a club called, oh fuck?" Matt asked.

"What's a club?" Eric, Sebastian and Y/n all asked simultaneously.

"No, it's a club called Juniors, I remember hearing about this place, ran by a Crime Lord named Junior," Wrench said.

"Still didn't answer our question," Y/n said.

"A club is where idiots go to party and drink," A voice spoke, we all looked and saw Ruby standing at the door.

"Ruby, what are you doing here?" Y/n asked.

"Came to see the plan," She replied, walking over and standing next to Y/n.

"So tomorrow night we go to his house, wait till he gets home then beat him?" Sebastian asked.

"No, we do it at the club," Wrench said.

"Why there?" Eric asked.

"Well the place is run by a Crime Lord, a cop who is most likely corrupt hangs around there, and the only people who will be there tomorrow will be the bouncers," Wrench told us.

"So we go in, beat not only his ass, but also all the other criminals?" I asked.

"Exactly," Wrench said.

"I like that," Matt said.

"Then what are we waiting for let's go." I said, grabbing my mask, only to be stopped by Wrench

"Once we do this, Dedsec will become enemies of the police," Wrench said.

"They became my enemies, when they stood by as one of their own hurt an innocent woman" I said with hate, Wrench nodded as Matt, Eric and Sebastian grabbed their gear with Wrench already ready, the five of us left the castle and went to Vale.

(POV Junior) (Time 7:30pm) (Location, Juniors Bar, Vale)

I stood behind the bar, tonight was a slow night as usual, with Officer Kennedy sitting at the bar alone, in the back were some other criminals doing business as usual.

"Junior...another" Steve said, I walked over, grabbed the whiskey and poured it into his glass.

"Something on your mind?" I asked, he looked more pissed than normal

"Yeah, this stupid faunus bitch almost cost me my job with her stupid fucking lawyer, if I see her again, I'm gonna shoot her" He said, surprising me a little.

"What about the lawyer?" I asked.

"What about him, can't be a lawyer when his client is dead...although...there is that boyfriend of hers, fucker wanted a fight, and next time I see either of them, they are fucked" He said, I just shook my head.

"Well, I hope you'd be ready for prison, and believe me, ending up in the place with the people you put away will get you killed" I said, warning him, but he just laughed.

"I'm a cop, I got connections everywhere, they'll be dead and it'll make them look bad" He said, honestly I've never hated someone more then him sometimes, I notice a man wearing a black hoodie covering his face at the other end of the bar, I didn't see him walk in, but I go over.

"What can I get you?" I asked.

"Just water thanks, oh and.." The guy pulls out some money and puts it on the bar. "Another round for the cop" He says, I nod and grab him his water and go back and refill Steve's glass.

"What's this for?" Steve asks, I point out the guy.

"He paid for this one," I said, Steve raised the guy his glass who raised his water glass to him, I look and see 2 other guys wearing dark hoodies sitting at a nearby table, and at another table, with one other, I gave a signal to the twins and saw the guy at the bar come over and sit next to Steve.

"Thanks for the refill" Steve says.

"Don't worry about it" The guy says, I realized this whole time, I couldn't see his face.

"What do you think about faunus?" The guy asked Steve, who just chuckled.

"Honestly, they should all be stuck in cages like the animals they are," Steve said, the guy just nodding.

"What about arresting innocent faunus?" He says, this caught Steve's and my attention.

"Innocent, they're all guilty," Steve said.

"No...the only guilty one is you Steve...you enjoy tormenting others" The guy said, shocking Steve, as he wasn't wearing his badge.

"How...How the fuck do you know my name?" Steve asked angrily.

"You arrested and assaulted an innocent woman...Dedsec doesn't appreciate that" The guy said, shocking Steve and I.

"What?" Steve asked, the guy grabs his glass and smashes it over Steve's head and slams his head against the bar, before throwing him towards the tables, this caught the attention of the criminals who stood up, the other four guys stood from their tables and rushed the criminals, I was just confused.

"Dedsec protects the innocent from scum like you, I am the King, I am your fucking nightmare" The guy, calling himself King grabs Steve and slams him into a table, I go to reach for my weapon but it's not there, I look around and see one of the guys holding it and waving it at me, before using it on the criminals, I jumped the bar and charged at King, only for the ground to push up, launching me over and slamming into a table, knocking the air out of me.

"Stay down Junior,'' A voice says, I look to see Wrench standing there.

"Wrench...what the fuck?" I ask.

"This is between King and Steve" He tells me.

"What the fuck is going on?" I asked, angrily.

"...Karma" Wrench says, I look back to see King beating Steve like nothing, throwing him around like a ball and breaking almost everything in here. King takes a pistol from his hoodie and aims it at Steve.

"King" Wrench calls out, a round is fired, but just barely passes Steve's head.

"Dedsec knows everything, we hear injustice all over, one post is all it takes, for Dedsec to come knocking and next time...I won't aim away" King says, before dropping the gun next to Steve and walking towards Wrench and I.

"Boy's lets go" King calls out, I see the other three guys walk over from all the now unconscious or maybe dead criminals, once the five all left, I hear sirens outside.

"Steve," I called out.

"yeah Junior" He replies.

"You're banned from this bar" I say, as the police walk in.

(POV James) (Time 8pm) (Location, Beacon)

After dropping Wrench off at the castle, me and the guys return to Beacon and sneak back into our dorm, we all sit in our beds, all silent after the act.

"We fucking did it" Matt said, I nodded.

"Yeah...we did...you know, I thought I'd feel great after beating his ass, but honestly...I feel amazing" I said, causing the guys to chuckle.

"The guy was a dirty cop anyway, so we did something good by cleaning the streets from the trash" Eric said.

"Agreed" I replied, we all were silent for a moment, before Matt spoke up.

"Now what?" He asks.

"Now...we continue as normal, do jobs, make Dedsec bigger and stronger, together...we are unstoppable" I said, the others nod.

"Sounds like a plan, but right now, I'm going to bed" Eric said, as he got out of his clothes and climbed under the blanket, me and the others followed behind, all getting in our beds and laying in darkness, the only thing on my mind...was pure fucking joy.
