Where it all starts...

UA Academy. Japan's number one hero school and known to produce some of the top heroes in the country, such as All Might, Endeavor, and countless others. What the population doesn't know about UA, however, is that they're infamous for their 'logical ruses' that the faculty likes to pull to their students and their 'hell's finals' as the students like to describe them, at least those in the hero's course. However, they couldn't argue that they learned at least something of importance during those finals.

But this year was a lot harder for one specific class 1-A in particular, from the constant battles against the League of Villains, and other events such as the Hosu Incident and the Kamino Incident. They were getting some real-life experiences from fighting against them, true, but more often than not there would be consequences or some changes because of it. But they were particularly drained after the events that happened after the Hassakai Incident or otherwise known as the Raid against the Yakuza.

This was their first time fighting against a very powerful and organized crime ring, and sadly a couple of the heroes lost their lives against them. This was the first time that the students saw deaths, and that left some of the students scarred and had to visit Hound Dog for some time.

But today was going to be different. An announcement was called by the principal for the hero course. We can see all 39 students going towards the assembly hall to see what it's all about. The reason for the uneven number is that one student, Minoru Mineta, was expelled on the first day.

"What do you think they're going to talk about, Iida?" Ochako asked her tall and robotic friend.

"I don't know, but if I had to guess, it has to do with the final exam for this semester," he responded as he led everyone in his class to the assembly hall.

"No! Not another one!" Mina cried in an almost desperate and panicked tone.

And so some of the other students started to talk about their own opinion of the final exam. The only one who didn't say anything was Hitoshi Shinsho. He could still remember his last final exam where he barely survived fighting against Power Loader. It was a tough battle, even with the training he got from Eraserhead before he joined UA.

He lets out a sigh as he looks towards everyone in the class, he looks towards the 'Chakosquad that consist of Iida, Todoroki, himself once in a while, and a couple of other classmates, there's the Bakusquad with Mina, Kaminari, Toru, and a couple more of his friends. It's incredible after all the shit that everybody had to go through this year, and with this assembly, he started to get worried about what they got planned this time around.

Eventually, both Class 1-A and 1-B arrived at the assembly hall where all the teachers were waiting for them. Once everyone sat down, the principal walked onto the podium.

"Greetings everyone!" he greeted excitedly, "I'm sure that some of you have an idea on why you all are here, and you would be right. Soon, all of you will have a finals exam to show all the things you have learned from both UA Academy and the internships that all of you have done in the past."

The students began to whisper to each other, worried about what the chimera had planned this time around.

"Now, what is the test, you may ask? Well, it's none other than the UAs' Heroes vs Villains Exercise, more commonly known as the Civil War Exercise. This exercise consists of two groups, one side is the heroes and the other side the villains," Nedzu explained.

Once again the students began to whisper to each other, not sure what to think about this.

"On normal occasions, we would choose randomly between the two classes for both leaders. However, this time around it's going to be only the hero leader between the two classes. You see, due to certain events that happened outside the school walls close to two years now, we have some... extra students that went through some serious traumatic events that we're not going to talk about. However they are very well trained despite their circumstances, so I expect for you to gift it your best shot," Nedzu explained.

"Mr. Principal," Iida stood up with his arm raised, "who are these students if it's not someone from our classes?"

"Now that is somethin' of a special case this year 'cause of them. Ya see, once we mentioned this exercise to 'em, they requested that they would stay anonymous until the day of the exercise. When we asked 'em why they told us that it would make this exercise more realistic. Once they answered that, I hafta agree with their reasonin'," Snipe explained to everyone.

"Thank you, Snipe. What they said is indeed a valid reason, as in real life, we don't expect a villain to attack when they do. And if we do, it's on very rare occasions that it's anyone we recognize. Now, we're going to select the leader for the heroes team. Present Mic, if you please?" said Nedzu as he turned to the blond teacher.

"Sure thing, Nedzu," Yamada responded as he pulled out a remote and turned on a projector.

Once the projector is turned on, they pulled out a randomizer program where the pictures of all the students were flipping by until it started to slow down. Until it landed on...

"Congratulations, Itsuka Kendo! You're this year's hero's leader. Now, I have to tell all of you that of will have 5 days so you can prepare yourself, and then a week at most to finish the test. Ms. Itsuka, we'll give you a rulebook later in the day, and tomorrow, you should come to visit my office if you have any questions that you may have. For the rest of you, you may return to your dorm and start planning on how to capture your villains," Nedzu said with his usual smile.

Slowly but surely, all the students exited the assembly hall and made their way towards the dorms. However, all the teachers stayed in the room.

"So, comrades. What do you think about the choice of this year's leader?" Nedzu asked his fellow coworkers.

"I think that they might have a fair chance to go far in this exercise. She's already a fairly good leader within her class," Kan commented.

"I would support your students, on normal conditions at least," Snipe commented.

"Oh yeah," Nemuri commented, "You spend your free time with Silence at the shooting range, don't you?"

"Speaking about them, what do you three think about your competition?" Aizawa asked as he looks up to a corner of the room.

Suddenly, three figures came down from the beams silently and walk closer to the teachers.

"From first glance, they look like an interesting bunch," said a metallic girl with white 'skin' and a blue and black color scheme, intense red 'eyes' with black 'sclera', blue short and spiky 'hair' were two tall pairs of 'ears' rest on top of her head.

"I have to agree with Mecha, here. At first glance, they don't look special, but we have to remember that half of the group have already been through different actual villain attacks," said a fair-skinned guy, rough short black hair with fierce red eyes, with a mostly black color scheme with hints of silver for cloths.

"Very wise, Carrion. And what do you think, Silence?" Nedzu asked with a lot of interest to the last member of the group.

Silence lift his arm towards his collar to activate a device around his neck of similar nature as of Present Mic Voice enhancer.

"I think I have to wait to give my opinion. After all, I have a lot of work ahead of me with analyzing them. But I think one thing is for sure, this war is not going to be boring."

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but I fear that your son won't be able to speak naturally anymore."

[A/N: Hey everyone, let me know what you think about this chapter. I'll be trying to upload this story at least weekly. This time I'm serious trying to get back into the swing of writing. And since I'm loving the UA civil war stories, I'll be trying to write my own here. I hope that you all will enjoy it!]
