Chapter 15
CONTENT WARNING: VIOLENCE, GUNFIRE AND EMOTIONAL DISTRESS
As the powerful voice echoed through the crowd, their eyes drawn to the source of the sound. Their gazes fixated on the tall figure striding towards Athena. His presence itself commanded compliance. His voice, authoritative, left no doubt—he was someone who shouldn't be messed with. His broad shoulders and gleaming eyes exuded power. He made people stay on their toes with just his aura and masculinity without even trying to converse with them.
The crowd shivered in fear as they glanced at his face. Mikhail Cassius, as they whispered his name, their faces became pale. His eyes landed on Athena who was standing there with her head down. His eyes flashed with fury as he closed the distance between him and her. Athena's eye liner had smudged due to her tears, making her face vulnerable and delicate, her eyes were blood shot and puffy. She wiped her tears quickly up on seeing Mikhail as if an electric shock had jolted her back to her senses. As he stood before Athena, the crowd held their breath as if they knew, the pen to write their destiny had already been claimed by Mikhail.
He checked out the beauty next to Athena. She blushed seeing Mikhail, her eyes glancing at him. Mikhail, smiled ominously at the lady and asked her
"Dare to repeat it, Sophia?"
The beauty's face became red the moment she heard Mikhail's deep, husky voice. She looked at Mikhail with lust in her eyes. She uttered timidly, "She was trying to steal the clothes, president; but don't worry I had kept an eye on her so, she hadn't stolen anything yet."
Her face showed clearly that she had yearned for Mikhail's affection, she couldn't even look at Mikhail without blushing. Sophia continued to speak,
"She was here just for sightseeing, its best if we don't allow entry to people like her."
While the lady kept on insulting Athena, she didn't notice that Mikhail's fist was ready to land on her anytime. The veins on his hands were bulging as he clenched his fist in burning anger. It seemed that her desire for him had overlapped her reasoning ability as she kept rambling on. Finally, Mikhail had lost it, a sinister grin appeared across his face as he spoke,
"Silence, now! Fuck, I shouldn't have made that promise to mom. If not for it, this bitch should've dead by now."
"Alexandra, come out!"
As he voiced, a woman seemingly in her 30s came out hurriedly through the crowd, there was a big wound scar on her arm which were covered with tattoos. Pierced eyebrows, pierced lips and pierced nose made her stood out from the crowd. Her clothes were neat and tidy unlike her hair which was all messy. "
Yes, president!", she replied in a rush.
"What are you waiting for? Kill her!"
His voice resonated throughout there like a thunderstorm, piercing their ears. Everyone was left in a state of utter disbelief. They had heard many stories about the infamously young mafia boss who was mercilessly cold. But this was a public place where even children were present, killing her here was something no one would do. Sophia couldn't believe what she heard and became a crying mess while begging Mikhail to let her live.
The crowd couldn't even flinch, a bone-chilling shiver ran down their spine as Mikhail's gaze locked up on them. Women hugged their children tightly to not let them witness the scene that was going to unfold there. Mikhail's voice dripped with venom as he said,
"Get out! All of you."
Everyone ran outside with a relief that their life was saved. His gaze locked onto Athena as he gently said,
"You should go out if you don't want to pass out."
Athena was frozen in fear hearing Mikhail's order to kill Sophia. She was horrified, thinking Sophia was going to get killed solely because of her. She spoke with a quivering lip, her voice barely audible,
"Please, let's just go"
Only her fearful and stuttering whisper clashed against his deep, intimidating tone. Her heart weighed with guilt as she gazed at Sophia, her tears couldn't hold on any longer.
"No."
Mikhail, coldly stated.
"Alexandra, do it!"
Mikhail commanded as he walked outside, dragging Athena with him. As she got inside the car, wiping her tears, she heard a sound which she could never forget in her entire life —the sound of gunfire, a sound that she could never erase from her life anymore. It was the fate, her husband penned for her. She looked at him with eyes that were petrified with terror, unable to look away.
