I am at home getting ready for the Christmas Party at Hamilton Hotel. I put on a black dress matching pair of underwear and a black dress that was a few diamonds around the middle of the dress and a slit up to my leg. I put on my high heels and then move to the vanity mirror and sit on the chair. I apply some make-up to my face. Then I move around my room and pick up a clutch. I put my phone, keys and wallet in the bag. I make my way out of the house. I lock the front door and walk over to my car. I climb in and drive toward the hotel.

When I get to the hotel a guy opens my car door for me and I step out. He gives me a ticket and parks my red convertible for me. I enter the hotel and make my way to the function room.

Colter is standing at the door with the woman I saw at the airport when I returned home. She whispers something to him and he looks in my direction. He smiles. "Hey, Lexi. I didn't know if you were going to show up."

I hug him. "I wouldn't miss a party like this. You know one always enjoyed this time of year. Save me a dance tonight?"

He nods. "I will."

I enter the room and make my way over to the bar. I see Q at the bar and he has a bottle of beer in his hand. I sit next to him. "Hey, Q."

He looks at me. "Hey, I didn't think you'd show up to this thing."

I look around the room. "I love parties, Q. I couldn't miss this one. Even though Colter is here with another woman."

Q spins around in his seat and looks at his brother.

A girl walks over to Colter and the girlfriend. The girl points around the room before she walks away. The girlfriend follows the girl out of the room.

I turn towards the waiter. "Can I have a glass of white fruity wine?" He pours me a glass and sets it on the table. "Thanks." He walks to the other side of the bar and serves other people.

Q rises. "I'm going to talk to some single ladies. Maybe, later on, I'll get lucky. You might too."

I shake my head. "I'm not interested in that Q." He walks away.

Colter walks over to me and he takes the empty seat beside me. He spins the chair around so he's facing me.

The woman walks over to us. She wraps her arms around him. She smiles. "Hey, I'm Kelly. I'm his girlfriend."

I smile. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Lexi Martin. His Ex-Wife. I hope you've had fun with my Ex." I tease.

Kelly laughs. "It's not like that between us. I'm seeing someone else and she's around here somewhere." Just like that, the girlfriend stands in front of me.

She touches my arm. "Hey, I'm Odette."

I smile. "Lexi," I shake her hand. "What do you think of the party so far?"

She shakes her head. "It's lame. They could have at least hired a few strippers to be the waiters."

Kelly laughs. "Only my girlfriend could think of something like that."

I turn to the girls. "Do you want a drink?"

They nod.

I wave the waiter over to us. He fixes us up to our drinks and places them on the counter.

Odette sits on the stool next to me. She looks at me. "How do you know our boy, Colter?"

I look at my wine. I reach for the glass and mumble. "I'm his ex-wife."
Her eyes widen. "Damn, I thought you were a bitch for leaving him at first. But, then he told us the full story and it made me cry for you." She throws her arms around me. "I'm sorry about your daughter. He hasn't been with another girl since you left. Colter has been helping us."

I smile. "You girls brought the Colter I fell in love with back. But, he's not 100% the man he was before I had our daughter." I look around the room. "I have to find the bathroom."

Odette rises. "I'll come with you." We walk to the bathroom.

We enter the bathroom without waiting in a queue. I do my business and then exit the toilet. I wash my hands and see Odette wrap her arms around another girl.

She puts her fingers up to her lips. "Shhh!"

I shake my head.

I do not want to be a part of seeing someone cheat.

As I exit the bathroom I see Kelly walk in my direction. "Is she still in there?"

I nod.

Kelly enters the bathroom and I hear screaming.

I walk to the dance floor and start dancing with a few people from the office.

After a couple of songs, I feel someone wrap their arms around me. "Are you having fun, Lexi?"

I smile and turn towards the voice. "Yes, I am. Are you going to dance with me now?"

He shakes his head. "Not now. I have a few announcements to make before I can dance with you, Lexi." He kisses my cheek and he walks over to the stage.

The music stops playing and we turn our attention to the stage. Colter looks at the group. "Good evening, everyone. I would like to thank you all for coming to the annual Christmas Party. I would like to thank you all for a wonderful year too. Even though our company hasn't been doing well. But, someone saved the company and I'm grateful for whoever thought my company was worth saving. You have the next two weeks off. I hope you all use that time to spend with your family and friends. I know I will be. Let's get this party started again." Colter jumps off the stage.

I walk over to the bar and I pick up another glass of wine. I move over to a group and listen to them tell stories about their lives. I laugh here and there with everyone.

Another glass of wine is placed in my hand and I drink.

I spend the night drinking and talking to people from the office.

After a while, I feel someone wrap their arms around my waist. "I saved you a dance, Lexi." He pulls me onto the dance floor.

I wrap my hands behind Colter's neck. We away side to side on the dance.

It feels good to dance with him again.

*Flashback*

Colter and I enter the reception room after our wedding. Our family and friends are crowding around us. We get group photos with everyone before dinner is served.

After dinner, Colter and I have our first dance as husband and wife. He places his hands on my hips and we spin around the room. He dips me and pulls me upright. He leans in and kisses me passionately.

I moan into the kiss.

He thrusts his tongue into my mouth. I pull him closer to me and I feel his erection against my stomach.

I pull away from him panting. "I want to finish this dance with you." We continue to dance until the song is over.

*End Flashback*

Another song comes on and Colter pulls me closer to him. We move across the room and that's when I notice everyone is off the dance floor giving Colter and me room to dance.

After the dance Colter lifts me into his arms and he carries me out of the party. He presses the button for the lift. I lie my head against his chest. "I love you, Colter."

He stiffens. Before he looks into my eyes. "I never stopped loving you, Lexi."

The door to the lift opens and we enter it.

When we get to the top floor he pulls the key out of his pocket and scans it. The door unlocks and we enter the room. Colter kicks the door shut with his foot.
