T Level 390.

I was on a bed. I was wearing different clothes.

Clothes I would actually wear if in normal circumstances.

But that unnerved me more.

Next to me were two other beds, both holding people.

One was a girl who looked at least fifteen.

Another was a boy who looked eight.

They both were dressed in similar clothing, a jacket with combat boots and belts.

But one odd thing that we all had were the silver bracelets around our wrist.

I looked at mine, on it had a name, Rebel.

I look up at the two children. One was sleeping, but the other stared right back at me.

She seemed scared.

"Hi, I'm Cori. What's your name?" I ask her to try and calm her down.

She looked ready to cry.

She blinks as if woken from a trance and focused on me.

Her eyes were bright and large, they were grey, and looked like they could peer into my soul.

"I'm Scotty." She says.

I nod my head. "Scotty? Nice name. How old are you? 15?" I ask.

She shakes her head. "No, I'm sixteen. Turned so in October." She responded playing with the bracelet.

We both hear a moan come from our side.

The kid who looked eight was waking up.

I got up and went near him.

"Hey, you oka-"

I'm interrupted by a voice.

"Stop!" Says some man's voice.

I look around but see no one.

"Who's there?!" I ask. The girl beside me was still on the bed, silent.

"Don't go near the boy." Says the voice again.

I squinted, why not? I look at the kid who was fully awake now and looked as confused and dazed as the rest of us.

"Rebel, AKA Cori Durkens, return to your bed now." Says the voice.

I didn't know what was happening, but I complied seeing as the kid looked fine to me.

I return and sit reluctantly.

"Cori Durkens. Scotty Williams. Trey Diamond. The Test are now starting. Stand in your designated areas.

I stand and look at the floor. I now noticed a circle that illuminated its circumference welcome me.

I stand in the middle and wait instruction.

I noticed the other two do the same.

"Trey Diamond AKA Seeker, please begin." Says the announcer.

I look at Trey who looked completely different from a second ago.

He no longer looked confused, but experienced. He knelt into the circle as if knowing precisely what to do.

The light slowly left the circle in his and entered his bracelet.

Trey, closed his eyes and looked like he was absorbing it.

I watched in awe.

Finally, he stood and looked at Scotty, the girl beside him.

She smiled at him, but he doesn't respond.

Next thing I knew, he disappeared.

I gasp. "Where did he go?" I say.

Scotty looked equally shocked. She looks over at me.

"I don't kno-"

She's interrupted by her own gasps.

She falls to the ground holding her stomach.

I go to run to her but am stopped by the voice again.

"Remain in your designated areas." Says the man.

I glare up at the ceiling, the sky, everywhere really.

"What did you do to them?" I say.

Then I see Scotty get her breath knocked out again.

She struggles to stand and continues to heave everywhere.

She looked like...she looked as if she were getting punched.

I watch her struggle and clench my fist.

What in the heck is happening?!

I about had enough when the voice reappeared.

"Alright Trey, let her go." Says the voice.

I look at Scotty surprised. Next to her Trey reappeared with one hand on her shoulder, and the other balled up ready to throw.

He drops Scotty and returns to his circle.

I look on in shock.

Did, did he just turn invisible?

No freaking way.

"Cori Durkens, AKA Rebel. And Scotty Williams AKA Light. Time for the real test." Says the speaker.

I glare and lose it. "Real test?! Have you completely gone insane?! You are sick you bastard! Let us go!" I scream.

I yelled to the top of my lungs. So loud I hurt my own ears. Then I hear a voice from my left.

"It's no use." Says Trey.

I look over at him. He looked at me too.

His eyes were cold, he looked like the fight in him has completely disappeared.

I shake my head.

"Why did you beat up Scotty?" I ask him.

He glanced over at the bleeding girl who could finally stand.

Then he turned back to me. "To teach you both."

I look at him. "Teach us what?" I ask.

He sighs at my ignorance.

"This is just the beginning. You should consider yourself lucky to be here. This is just training. And I'm your coach. That guy you were talking to, he's Alexander, an AI. He doesn't do much on verbal explanations." Says Trey.

Scotty glared at the boy. "So that means I get beat up without warning? Who the hell are you?" She asked.

He looks at her now.

"Trey, but around here I'm Seeker, this test isn't meant to test just your skills, but also your intelligence."

He points to my feet.

"See that circle? If you were paying attention you know exactly what to do. It can't be any easier."

He then points to Scotty.

"We have to fight each other. Loser dies, winner lives. And only one of you are leaving with me." He says.

With that he disappears again, this time though, I knew he was gone.

I look over at Scotty.

Kill her? So that I could live?

What do I do?
