Anna's POV

"ANNA! GET OUT OF THERE! YOUR GONNA GET HURT!" I hear Yamato yell and honestly, I just feel hurt and don't know what to do.

I sense the 9 tails come out and I block an attack from Pain.

"Your not aloud to leave this fight Blind Ninja." Pain says to me.

I tch quietly and I can't really do anything with this onslaught.

Yamato pulls me out and forces me to stand next to Sakura. "It's too dangerous with the 9 tails about to completely take over Naruto!" Yamato yells at me and I feel so frustrated right now.

"That's my brother and I'm gonna fight next to him damn it!" I yell back at Yamato who is forcing me to stay there.

"Anna, Naruto isn't out there right now, he's inside that monster and it's taking him over, it could kill you!" Yamato says to me and I glare in his direction.

Suddenly the air just stops and the dies and I don't sense the 9 tails anymore.

Naruto takes care of Pain and then disappears.

Sakura hugs me crying and all I feel is relief from her.

It's about 2 hours, but I sense life come back into everyone and I sense an unknown chakra die far away.

"Anna you have injuries, do you want me to take a look at them?" Sakura asks me.

"No." I say as I shake my head.

I teleport to fox canyon and I just quietly sit in Legacy's den, not wanting to do anything now.

"Anna, you have to do something eventually." Legacy says as she sits in front of me, her tail swiping in my face to let me know how close she is.

"I just feel hurt legacy." I whisper.

"Talk." Legacy says to me.

"Naruto and Yamato forced me onto the sidelines." I say simply and I feel anger bubble up in Legacy.

"Why?" Legacy asks me.

"They said it was dangerous." I say softly.

"I call bullshit. Your a grown woman who can take care of herself." Legacy says annoyed.

"When it comes down to it, I want to move back to the sand some point in the near future." I say to Legacy softly.

"That's another thing. What's going on with you and Gaara?" Legacy asks me.

"We're in a relationship now." I say softly, smiling slightly as I think of Gaara.

"Good." Legacy says to me.

I just curl into myself though, feeling betrayed. "I was put on the sidelines, by Naruto of all people." I whisper.

Legacy just lays next to me and after a few days, I go back go the Leaf village.

"Where have you been?" Sakura asks me.

"With my summons." I say to her.

"ANNA!" I hear Naruto yell and I ignore him.

"What's the status on Tsunade?" I ask Sakura as Naruto bugs us but I just simply act as if he isn't even there.

"She's in a coma." Sakura says to me and I nod. "Why are you ignoring Naruto?" Sakura asks me.

"He put me on the side lines." I say simply and I walk away, leaving the two stunned.

"Anna." Kakashi-Sensei says as I pass him.

"Hi Sensei." I greet.

"Naruto put you on the sidelines?" Kakashi-Sensei asks me and I nod.

Sensei and I talk for a bit as we walk and I know Naruto and Sakura are following us.

It's a bit, but I hear Danzo is our Hokage as the village is getting rebuilt.

I get called in to his office.

"I'm stationing you in the Sand village, don't come back here unless you hear otherwise, Blind girl." Danzo says to me cocky.

I think about that for a minute. "Damn. Your a bastard. I feel sorry for the Leaf, I really do. Especially with you running the show now. I'll give you room, I resign as a leaf ninja but I'll be keeping the uniform for old times sake." I say to Danzo and all I feel is cockiness from him.

I head to the gates from there and I get stopped by Neji.

"Where are you going?" Neji asks me.

"I resigned as a Leaf ninja because the guy running the show, basically told me to get out and don't come back thanks to my sight defect." I say to Neji calmly. "I'm going to the Sand village and returning to my home there for the time being." I say and Neji is just shocked. "It was nice being partnered with you Neji and tell the others what happened for me." I say with a small wave and I leave.

I head to the Sand Village where I'm greeted almost instantly by Kankuro.

"Why are you here?" Kankuro asks surprised.

"I want to tell the three of you in the Kazekage office so you guys know what's going on completely." I say to Kankuro who nods.

We head to Gaara's office, picking Temari up on the way.

"Anna?" Gaara asks surprised.

"I have a lot of news, good and bad." I say to the three and they hum.

I tell them everything, from the Leaf getting destroyed, to the leader being took down by Naruto, to Danzo becoming Hokage to me getting basically kicked out of the Leaf.

"You got kicked out by the new Hokage because your blind?" Kankuro asks me and I nod.

"I resigned my position as a Leaf Ninja when he told me to get out, that way he can't mark me down as a rogue ninja and have people come after me." I say to them.

"That was a smart decision. Even smarter coming here." Temari says to me.

"You should be a Ninja here for the time being, if Lady Tsunade takes back her role, or someone else takes over, you can go back there if you wish, but the Ninja world would suffer without you." Gaara says to me and the two siblings beside him hum in agreement.

"I was already planning on moving back here soon anyways. The Leaf has been frustrating as of recent and I just wanted to come home. So I'd be honored to be a Sand Ninja." I say to Gaara.

"You were a Jonin the Leaf correct?" Kankuro asks and I nod. "If she was Jonin there, then that should qualify her for the position here too." Kankuro says to Gaara.

"I was thinking the same thing." Temari says to Gaara.

We get everything situated and that night, I sit with Gaara on the roof and I can't help but feel uneasy.

"Danzo might try to send his men to kill me." I whisper and Gaara holds me in his arms.

"They'd have to be pretty dumb to attack one of my ninja then, especially my girlfriend." Gaara whispers.

"Does the academy have an open position right now?" I ask Gaara softly.

"Those two male teachers requested a month of absence, so you could teach in their stead if you'd like." Gaara whispers and I nod.

"That sounds amazing." I whisper.

The next Morning.

I put on the sand village headband on where my Leaf headband usually is and I head out with Gaara and we go to the academy.

Gaara walks with me to the classroom, I sense the two male teachers inside.

I walk in and everything quiets down.

"ANNA-SENSEI!" The kids cheer and I sense relief from the two teachers.

I smile almost instantly as the kids hug me.

"You can take over." The two say and leave quickly.

I get started teaching and I sense Gaara lea

At the end of the day, the children don't want to leave.

"Alright guys, all you have for tonight is go over your work with your parents and tomorrow, we learn arithmetics and we practice weapon training." I say to the kids who cheer. "Your dismissed." I say to the kids.

They leave and I plan tomorrow's lessons.

I think about how far behind they are and I have to find a way to speed them up.

"Here Anna." A teacher says walking in.

"Hey." I say with a slight wave.

"Here, it's brail versions of the text books for this class. I figured since your a ninja here now and helping at the academy, you'd need books to plan out lessons." She says to me.

I honestly feel surprised. "Your so sweet." I say to her and she laughs. "Thank you. Oh my god, this is gonna be so much easier now." I say to her and her emotions feel so warm.

She leaves and I continue planning the lessons for tomorrow, quite easier now.

I sense Gaara come in through the window and he kisses my forehead in less than 2 seconds from being inside.

"Hi." I say to him with a smile and he kissed my temple and then my left eyelid, then my cheek and my nose and then my lips, flustering me.

I hide my face in his chest and he chuckles quietly. "Hello Anna." Gaara says to me softly and I just keep my face buried in his chest since it's comfy.

Gaara finishes helping me plan out the lessons and then we head home.

"I have to leave early tomorrow morning for the land of iron for a Kage summit meeting." Gaara says to me as I make dinner.

"Are you taking Temari and Kankuro?" I ask and Gaara hums. "Alright, I'll be here, teaching at the academy, waiting for your return and your news." I say to Gaara with a smile and he buries his face in my shoulder from behind and just stays there as I make dinner.

In the morning, I fuss over the three, making sure they're wearing a scarf at least before they leave.

"Don't worry too much about us Anna, we'll come back safe." Kankuro says to me and I feel a fuzzy warmness from him and Temari and a soft burning warmness from Gaara.

"You better." I say to them and after they leave, I head to the academy and I get on with teaching the class.

It's a week later, but Gaara returns and the first thing he does is hug me tightly in front of my entire class.

"A warning would have been lovely, but hi Gaara." I say to him and he just stays there.

"Kazekage-Sama?" Everyone says surprised.

Gaara is quiet and I sense worry and conflict from Gaara. "Class dismissed early, we'll pick up where we left off tomorrow." I say to the group of kids who leave after getting their stuff together. "Hey." I whisper tenderly.

"Follow me to my office and we'll talk there." Gaara whispers and I hum.

I follow Gaara to his office and the trio of siblings explained what happened from beginning to end.

"So war was waged by madara, Sasuke attacked and retreated, Danzo disappeared and we're basically about o get our asses handed to us." I say and the three hum. "Nice." I say.

War preparations start after we get permission and my class is dismissed until after the war ends.

I sense Pakkun one night and I hold my arms open and he jumps into them. "Pakkun." I say and he gruffs and relaxes in my arms.

"A message from Kakashi, he said that you can return to the Leaf if you wish, Danzo is dead." Pakkun says to me.

I just hold Pakkun. "I honestly don't know if I'd want to." I say and Pakkun hums confused. "I love it here in the Sand. I missed this place a lot when living in the Leaf, it was my home for a while. And besides, I resigned as a Leaf Ninja and became a Sand Ninja. You can tell Kakashi this if you wish, but if Tsunade is awake, tell her to fuck off for me." I say and Pakkun laughs.

"Alright then kid." Pakkun says to me and I just hold Pakkun for a while and he ends up napping while I just quietly sit on the roof.

Gaara joins me after a bit and his head rests on my shoulder. "That's Kakashi's summon isn't it?" Gaara asks me and I nod. "Was there a message?" Gaara asks and I nod.

"I can go back, and Danzo is dead." I say and Gaara hums quietly. "I don't want to, honestly. I've really missed the Sand, and coming back for missions here had made me homesick something awful." I say softly and Gaara rests his head against mine gently. "Yeah I've got family there, but this is my home." I say softer.

Pakkun grunts. "You shoulda said something sooner then, Kakashi would have figured something out for ya." Pakkun says to me and I smile softly.

"It's alright though. I'll go back and visit, but only after Naruto apologizes." I say with a small snort and Gaara chuckled quietly.

"Alright, I'll go tell Kakashi, have fun Anna, see ya soon." Pakkun says as he gets up and I sense him disappear.

"Bye pakkun." I say and Gaara kisses my cheek gently and I smile at that. "What's my part in this war Gaara? Where do you want me?" I ask him.

"I want you by my side, but Kankuro is going to be escorting me mostly. Your a close range type, right?" Gaara asks me and I nod. "There's a division for that, I believe it's Kakashi's." Gaara says to me softly.

"So I'll be in the close range division then?" I ask and Gaara hums. "How long do you think it'll last? The war." I ask Gaara.

"Hopefully not too long." Gaara says to me and I hum quietly.

That night, Gaara holds me tightly, as if I could disappear in a poof and be gone.

"I'm not going anywhere." I whisper softly as I scratch his back gently, willing him to get some needed rest.

Gaara just holds me tightly in his arms all night, and at some point, I ended up falling asleep.
