The Next Morning - Anna's POV

Gaara won't let me leave the house and I find it amusing.

"Stay an extra day." Gaara mumbles into my back as I attempt to put on my skin guards.

I smile amused. "I can't. I want to, but I can't." I say to him.

He pouts. "Please?" Gaara asks me.

Gaara continues to plead and I give in. He has me put away my ninja stuff and come back to bed.

I smile as Gaara relaxes into me while I scratch his head gently and we both end up falling asleep again.

"Gaara! You have duties to do!" I hear Temari yell somewhere.

The door opens and its quiet.

"Don't wake her." Gaara mutters as I hold onto him.

"Come on Gaara, you have to do your work at some point today." Temari whispers quietly.

Gaara hmpfs quietly and I keep him pinned down so he probably knows I'm awake now.

I sense Gaara's chakra push out Temari and I smile as I bury my face into Gaara's neck. "She is right though, I do have work to do." Gaara mutters with a sigh.

I snort. "You made me stay another day, so your staying with me, whether you have work or not." I say playfully and I sense amusement from him.

"I can't argue, it is my fault you stayed another day when you probably would be near the boarders by now." Gaara says to me amused.

I snort. "I'd be stuck in quick sand by now." I say and Gaara chuckles quietly.

I feel totally at ease here with Gaara, vulnerable even. I make him stay with me for a little while longer before he really does have to do work.

I end up sitting in Gaara's office while he attends a meeting.

"Bored?" Temari asks amused.

"Very." I reply back.

Temari laughs and its a while before Gaara finally comes back.

I sense amusement from Gaara when he sits down. "Anna, the new teacher seems to be having a rough time." Gaara says to me.

I snort amused. "I know." I say and I get up from my upside down position.

Gaara does his work while he has me float near him on his sand as I play around with one of my Kunai.

It's an hour or so later when there is rapid knocking on the door that gets mine and Gaara's attention.

"Enter." Gaara says in a calm manner.

I sense Mya walk in and she's exasperated and scared. "YOU SAID THEY WERE SWEET HEARTS!" Mya yells at me frustrated.

I have to hold in a laugh as I sit up to face her direction. "They are, I have no clue why you would think any different." I say to her amused.

"Anna." Gaara says to me warningly.

I pout slightly. "Why do I have to end my fun?" I ask Gaara.

"You do have to he nice." Gaara reminds me.

I huff quietly. "Alright, alright." I say to him. "Those kids don't like new teachers, they'd much rather cause havoc instead of listening to a lesson." I say to Mya amused.

I sense shock from her. "But then why?" Mya asks me.

I shrug. "Your actions towards me yesterday, just sorta irritated me. Especially that move to stand in front of me even though that really wasn't necessary." I say to Mya who is shocked. "Oh and by your aura, I could tell you didn't like children, you only took up this to please Gaara and find his favor. And the fact that you were panicking when I told you today's lesson, your not that fit to be a teacher, because that's actually a really easy lesson and something you should have already known." I say to Mya.

"Your, so mean." Mya says to me shocked.

I nod. "Only to people who tend to lie or attack me." I say and Mya can't even form words.

"There's no way you have these abilities to sense emotions." Mya says to me.

I just shrug.

"Anna, would you go check up on the class and calm them down for her for tomorrow?" Gaara asks me.

"The next teacher is who I pick, ok Gaara?" I ask and he hums.

"That's fine." Gaara says to me.

I head to the academy as Mya follows me and I head up to the class as Mya tries to talk to me about how bad they are.

I open the door and I hear chaos. I just simply walk in and I sit on the desk quietly.

"ANNA-SENSEI!" All of the kids chorus surprised.

I sweat drop. "I was forced to stay another day by a certain Kazekage and his family. So, guess I have to finish the lesson for today. But before that, is everyone here?" I ask.

"Hold on Sensei, we'll grab the ones in the bathroom." Pres says as she and her brother leave.

I nod. "Sounds good." I say and Mya is shocked. "Told ya." I say to Mya with a smirk.

"Anna, some of your students are in the training area, do you want me to send them up?" Kuhara asks me.

"Would you?" I ask her.

"I will send them up." Kuhara says to me.

She leaves.

"How far did you get with the lesson?" I ask Mya.

"I couldn't even start it." Mya admits and I can sense shame from her.

I nod. "Alright, I want everyone here to clean up the mess." I say to the students who are here.

"Yes Sensei!" The students chorus and I sense them get busy.

Once all my students are here and the mess is cleaned up, I smile. "I just have to say. You broke her in half a day." I say to the students who cheer. "Good job." I say with a grin.

"YOU ENCOURAGE THIS?" Mya yells at me.

"Be quiet! Anna-Sensei is talking!" My students yell back at her, to which I sense shock and fear from Mya.

"Alright. Let's start todays lesson." I say and teach the students the history and the workings of sealing techniques known to the sand.

"Sensei, how do you know so much about the Sand?" Pres asks me.

"I was born here." I say to her amused. "Alright. That just about covers today's lesson, the only homework you have is to go over today's lesson with your parents or guardians, because they might know some things." I say to the class.

"Yes Sensei!" My students chorus.

"And tomorrow, do behave for the teacher of my choosing, ok?" I ask them.

"Yes Sensei!" They chorus and they pack up to leave.

I head out and I head back to the Kazekage office with Mya.

"Well?" Gaara asks us and I sense several chunin in here.

"They'll be good for the teacher of my choosing." I say with a small shrug.

"Good, now Anna, these are the Chunin who volunteered." Gaara says to me.

I inspect their auras, two are men and one is female.

The first male doesn't take shit, like me, he seems to think children are ok and he's smart.

The female is a pushover and is doing this solely for Gaara.

The last male is quirky, I can tell he doesn't mind children, likes to cause trouble himself, he's a little bit smart.

"Pair the two men together and they'll make a great team with the kids." I say to Gaara.

The woman seems to take offense of that.

"The woman just seems to want your favor Gaara." I say to Gaara.

Gaara hums. "Alright. Well I hope the children don't break them." Gaara says to me.

"She didn't even ask us questions." Male 2 days surprised.

"Would you like me too?" I ask him.

"It would make me more confident, yes." Male 2 says to me.

"Do you both like children?" I ask them.

"They're ok." They both respond.

"What's your tolerance level for trouble making?" I ask them.

"High." Male 2 says to me.

"None." Male 1 responds.

"What about you teaching skills? Do you think you got what it takes to keep their attention on you and actually get through to these kids?" I ask them.

"We'll do our best." They respond.

"Good. That's all." I say to the two men with a wave of my hand.

"That's it?" Male 1 asks me.

I nod. "Yeah, I mean I already read your aura before the questions, neither of you are liars and I feel you two can keep their attention and balance each other out in the classroom." I say to them.

"But what about that question about children?" Mya asks me.

"I don't like children all that much myself, but I don't mind them. As long as you talk to them like they're adults, then you'll be fine." I say with a small shrug.

"Alright, your all dismissed, Anna stay." Gaara says to us.

Everyone else leaves.

"I hope your judgement on those two are correct." Gaara says as I walk over to him.

"It is." I say and Gaara hums.

He continues working while I sit on floating sand next to him.

The next morning, Gaara won't let me leave again. I find it amusing as he hugs me from behind as I try to get my shoes on.

"Stay." Gaara mumbles into my neck.

I end up staying another day.

At the end of the school day, the two new teachers walk into the Kazekage office.

"Well?" I ask them.

"We want to stay as their teachers." Male 1 says to us.

I nod. "Can I go home tomorrow Gaara?" I ask him.

"I suppose so." Gaara says to me. "You two are their new teachers, teach them well." Gaara says to the two men. "Your dismissed." He says and they leave. "Your judgment was right." Gaara says to me.

I smile. "I know." I say and he holds my hand as he continues working.

That evening, I lay on the roof, tired, but just resetting myself for tomorrows journey.

I sense Gaara join me and he sits next to me.

I sigh quietly. "It feels nice out here." I say and Gaara takes my hand gently.

"Do you really have to leave tomorrow?" Gaara asks me.

I snort quietly. "Yeah, if Tsunade finds out I stayed two extra days not doing anything, she's gonna send me on an A-Rank that is total bullshit." I say and Gaara chuckles quietly.

I sense Gaara lay down next to me and I smile as I feel him take my hand. I relax into his side and he describes the night sky for me.

I start to get sleepy and I guess Gaara does too because I yawn and he yawns after me.

I rest my head on his chest and I fall asleep as he puts his arms around me.

In the morning, I finally get dressed to go back to the leaf village. I hug Gaara and I find it hard to let him go, but I have to leave.

"Goodbye Anna." Gaara says to me and I sense a gentle warm feeling from him.

"Bye Gaara." I say to him as I smile.

I leave the Sand Village and after a few hours of running, I get caught in quick sand.

"Damn it." I say and after a while of not moving a muscle, I find an escape route.

Hours later, I make it to the border and I pass Neji.

"What the hell?" Neji asks as he runs to keep up with me.

"What?" I ask him.

He grunts but we slow down to rest.

I sense familiar chakra nearby, heading this way. I turn my head in that direction and then I hear Guy and Lee yelling at the top of their lungs.

I sense dread from Neji.

I then feel a huge power surge towards the village. "I'm going on ahead." I say and I can feel confusion coming from Neji.

I continue running and I use my flickering Jutsu and I don't feel ground around me.

"ANNA?" I hear Sakura yell shocked.

I start falling. "I'm confused. Shouldn't there be the Hokage building around me?" I ask.

"THE VILLAGE WAS DESTROYED! THE GUY WHO DID IT IS UNDER YOU!" Sakura yells.

"WHAT?" I yell shocked.

I flicker around, trying to find ground, eventually I land on ground. I sense around me and I feel danger.

I fight the guy who destroyed my home. I observe how he fights as I continuously dodge him.

I find an opening as I jump and I spin and land a crushing kick to this guys chest, I sense him go flying.

I learn exactly how he fights through a lot of back and forthing.

"Your blind." I hear the guy say surprised. I kick him in the side of his head and he goes flying. "The worlds first blind ninja." He says as he appears behind me.

I flicker away from him. "Who are you?" I ask him confused.

"My name is Pain, leader of the Akatsuki." This guys says to me. "And you are?" He asks me.

"Anna Ward." I say to him as I put my hand on my hip.

"Interesting. I've only heard a rumor of a blind ninja that's been spreading. I wasn't sure if it was true or not, but they said it was a Leaf Ninja." Pain says to me, sounding intrigued and flat.

I keep my focus on his Chakra since it's stirring. I sense everyone's Chakra and I'm quiet for a moment, trying to find Tsunade's. "What happened to Tsunade?" I ask finally.

"Who? Your Hokage? Probably lying dead somewhere." Pain replies.

"She's too stubborn for that, she is hurt though. Along with many of my comrades. Sure I may not like most of these guys half the time, specially the blond on the ground behind me, or the pinky crying next to my Hokage, but they are my friends. And unless you give me a good reason to not end your pathetic existence, I suggest you beg for forgiveness on your hands and knees." I say to Pain who chuckles.

I sense amusement from him and I just watch his chakra quietly. "And what would you be able to do to me? Blind Ninja?" Pain asks me.

"I don't know, but I do know that I've already studied your fighting style, I know that bodies weaknesses, and I know the timing of your attacks and when to strike when your vulnerable, so really, that's all I need right?" I ask and I sense shock from the guy, but it's not him directly, like it's from around him.

Naruto overtakes me and he pushes me behind him. "Let me." Naruto says to me.

"I can help you know." I say to Naruto.

I sense a fizzy warmness, and a deep seated burning hot fire.

I look at the general direction of my brother, concerned. "Naruto,"

"Do what you can for everyone else Anna, let me take care of this guy, he hurt Hinata." Naruto says to me quietly. "And he insulted you." Naruto says to me.

This fire in him is terrifying. The 9 tails is just barely under wraps and I can sense his hatred seeping through Naruto.

What do I do about this hatred in him? He can't control it because of the 9 tails.

I scoff and Naruto freezes. "Ok, so what? Hr insulted me? Not like I give a crap. The real guy isn't even here. Seriously. Those are just words from a coward who can't physically fight me himself because he's hiding in a control room manipulating his puppets to do it for him." I say and there's nothing but shock from Naruto. "I hate guys like that. I'd rather fight someone whose all bones rather than be faced with a stand in." I say as I put my hand on my hip.

"Anna." Naruto says surprised.

I snort and I walk out further onto the battlefield, getting ready go fight, I pull my gloves on tighter and I slip my staff into my hand and my Katana in the other.

I fight with Pain one on one, pretty evenly matched. However, Naruto takes over and that's what pisses me off.

I end up on the side lines.
