A Week Later - Anna's POV

I grumble annoyed as I got forced to sit on the sidelines for this D-Rank Mission, its a simple one too, only to catch Tora.

"She's about to blow guys." Sasuke says to the team.

"She can't track a cat." Kakashi says to them.

I wait for them to get on with trying to find the cat and once they're gone, I head into the forest and I listen for meowing.

Once I hear it, I head into that direction carefully as to not disturb the cat and once I get there, I sense the cat look at me and she purrs, knowing I'm not a threat to her.

I kneel down next to her and I pet her head and I feel a bow on her ear. "Your not helpless are you?" I ask her and she purrs as she rubs against me. "I thought so, you just don't like feeling helpless, like me." I say to her and she sits on my lap and rubs her face against mine and I smile amused. "I always wanted a cat, I just could never take care of one." I say as I pet her and she purrs in my lap.

"WHAT?" I hear Naruto yell after a couple minutes of me talking to Tora.

"I can't believe it." Kakashi says shocked.

I smile at the cat as she purrs. I pick Tora up in my arms and I get up, Tora lays in my arms purring contently.

"What?" Sasuke asks shocked and they all walk out.

I scowl at them and I can feel their shock and their stares as they freeze.

I head back to the village with a nervous team behind me.

We get to the Hokage office and I hear a woman take Tora and Tora squeaks, not wanting what she is getting.

"Anna, you seem to be in a foul mood." Gramps comments with a chuckle.

I scowl in my teams direction before I snort and cross my arms, not speaking.

"What did you do Kakashi?" Gramps asks him.

"I said something I probably shouldn't have." Kakashi says nervously.

I get increasingly frustrated and annoyed.

"Anna, do you have something to say about this?" Gramps asks me and I just roll my eyes.

"You've done it this time, her grudge against you will last a while." Iruka says nervously to Kakashi.

"Well, for your next mission-" I cut Gramps off.

"I don't want to participate in the next D-Rank." I say and that shocks my entire team.

"Why?" Gramps asks me.

"Reasons." I say and Gramps hums amused.

"Anna, we said we're sorry." Naruto cries.

I roll my eyes and Gramps goes on to tell them about D-Ranks when Naruto objects and we get lectured and unlike them, I listen to the lecture.

"Hey!" Gramps says to them, trying to get their attention.

"Sorry." Kakashi chuckles nervously.

"Well, if its a C-Rank you want, then you'll get one." Gramps says to them.

"Really?" Me and Naruto ask shocked.

"Yes, its a simple escort mission." Gramps chuckles at us. "Anna, I thought you didn't care?" Gramps asks me.

I snort. "I don't, I just don't see why your giving them a C-Rank mission." I say to Gramps.

"Well, you can join them." Gramps says to me.

"My biased Sensei over there doesn't seem to think that way." I say with a snort of annoyance.

"I just don't want you to get hurt." Kakashi says to me.

I tch. "Yeah right, you just don't want me to get in your way." I say to him.

"And there's the trust issues." Iruka says looking at me.

"Anna, we worked hard to try and dissolve your trust issues." Gramps says to me.

"I'm still working on that." I say to him.

"Well maybe this mission will kill your issues for good this time." Gramps says to me.

"Who are we escorting? A princess? A lord?" Naruto asks way too excited for me.

"Bring him in." Gramps says to the guy by the door and then the door opens.

I smell liquor immediately and I cover my nose. "I can already tell its a drunk guy." I say and I feel a glare on me.

"Your right." Gramps says to me. "Your nose must be sharper than an Inuzuka's." Gramps says to me.

"Of course I'm right." I say and the guy grumbles annoyed.

"What is she? Blind?" He asks annoyed.

"Please don't add anymore fuel to her fire, she's already upset." Sakura pleads.

"Now, now, Anna, please don't hit the client." Kakashi says to me nervously.

"Fine, I'll hit you." I say to him and Kakashi grabs my staff before it hits him.

"Anna, don't hit your teacher." Iruka says to me nervously.

I roll my eyes and take my staff back from Kakashi. "Whatever." I mutter annoyed.

"Kakashi, she's gonna be your worst enemy when she's like this." Gramps says to him with a nervous chuckle.

"I figured." Kakashi says to him sighing.

"So these brats will be protecting me? They look incompetent, especially the short one with the idiotic face." The guy who we're supposed to escort says annoyed.

I get forced to line up and I'm taller than Sasuke, then its Sasuke, Sakura and then Naruto, from what I know.

I roll my eyes as Naruto growls.

"Now, now, Naruto, you can't attack the client." Kakashi says to him nervously.

After a while we meet up at the gate and set off with my following them since I wouldn't want to get in their way.

"Anna." Naruto whines and I ignore him.

"Hey Tazuna, are there any ninja in the Land of Waves?" Sakura asks him.

"Of course there isn't, if there was, we wouldn't be on this mission." I say to her.

"Its true, we don't have ninja." Tazuna says to her and she hums.

We get attacked and I sense Kakashi gone after we hear a thud.

"Well then." I say as I block what sounds like a chain, coming for me.

My eyes narrow as I block the coming attacks for us.

"Anna." Sasuke says partially annoyed as he helps.

"I smell poison, be careful." I say to them and my teams hums.

"Right." Sasuke says to me.

I twirl my staff in the air before I land a crushing hit to one of the guys with my staff and he groans. "Not hard enough." I mutter annoyed.

Sasuke gets rid of the chains and I nearly break the guys hands, but they grab my staff and I flip them into the ground. I twist my staff into two as they disappear and I sense them going for Naruto, but, I stop them and I kick them both in the face and I jab them hard in the stomach with my staves and they back up.

"Naruto, get your shit together." I say to him and I can feel shock coming from him.

I block claws when I smell blood and its coming from Naruto.

Kakashi then comes back and finishes the guys off for us and I put my staff back together as he talks.

"Anna, you stayed calm, that was surprising." Kakashi says to me.

"It isn't the first time I was in danger and I knew how to handle myself." I say with a snort of annoyance and I look in Naruto's direction. "Naruto, did you get hurt by their claws?" I ask him.

"Its just a hand injury, no need to worry." Naruto says carefree.

"Idiot! Their claws had poison in them." I say to him and I sense immediate fear from him.

"WHAT?" Naruto yells fearfully, shocked and worried.

"Didn't you listen earlier when I told you guys I smelled poison?" I ask him.

"You did?" Naruto asks shocked.

I groan. "Naruto, don't move, you'll only make it spread faster." I say to him as I sense him moving around wildly and then he crashes into me. "Idiot!" I yell and he freezes.

"What do we do Sensei? This mission is way out of our league, we're only Genin. Anna is blind, Naruto's poisoned, this is too much for us." Sakura asks him.

"I can handle myself." I snap and Naruto gets worried. "Sakura, if your so worried, then try to help Naruto get rid of the poison in his system." I say to her.

"She's right though Anna, this mission is out if your league." Kakashi says to me.

"Out if my league? You mean out of your vision league? You know, maybe you are the one who is blind, your focussing your sight, on the ones who can see and can have their vision potential, but your turning a blind eye to my potential, this is why I don't like telling people I'm blind, you all think I'm a helpless baby just because I can't see, well I know for a fact, that I'm not, and if you don't want me on this mission, then I'm going home, just don't expect me to listen to you when you get back." I say, beyond annoyed.

"And that did it." Naruto says nervously. "This has happened before, right now, I think its best to step away from her." Naruto says to Kakashi, clearly worried.

"Why?" Kakashi asks him.

"You'll see." Naruto says worried.

I just ignore them and I start walking towards the village.

"All she did was ignore us." Sakura says to him.

"And she will, for a long time." Naruto says to her.

I flip them all off with both hands as I walk away. "Bastards." I say and I head back to the village, taking a few hours and once I get to the gates the guards back away from me.

I head to the Hokage office and I knock on the door.

"Come in." I hear Gramps say and I open the door and feel surprise. "Anna, why are you here? Is everyone else ok?" Gramps asks me.

"Oh yeah, they're fine, perfectly fine, you know what? They're continuing the mission, we just got attacked, and Kakashi and Sakura told me that the mission was way out of my league, I blew up and left because they're all bastards." I say and I feel shock come from Gramps.

"Attacked?" Gramps asks me.

"Oh yeah, the mission turned out to be a bit different, I don't know the details of what it actually is, because they didn't want me there. The D-Rank earlier, Kakashi said I couldn't track, and they left me behind, but I went and found the cat before they did. That's how its been for the past week, he's been leaving me out of things because I can't see and gives some crap excuse and makes me sit in the damn sidelines." I say and Gramps hums.

"Yes, well, remember, you are the first blind ninja of the village, he doesn't know how to teach you." Gramps says to me.

"That doesn't mean he can just exclude me." I say to him. "He just doesn't have experience as a teacher, he told us none of his other teams passed his test, so how much teaching experience does he really have? He's just going on a whim and it annoys me, that he can't see that my other senses are better than his sight, I can train those senses and become a better ninja, but he isn't helping me with that, he's only focusing on the other three." I say to him and I sigh. "Ranting isn't going to solve anything, I need to do something." I say and Gramps chuckles as he sees me deflate.

"You want to do a few D-Rank missions?" Gramps asks me.

"Yeah." I say to him.

"Well, there is dog walking, grocery shopping, and babysitting." Gramps says to me.

"I'll take Dog Walking and babysitting, I'll do the Dog Walking one first." I say to Gramps who hums.

"Alright, Iruka will go with you and take you to the dogs." Gramps says to me amused and I nod.

I follow Irukas presence down to an area where I smell dogs and they bark at me.

"You'll be ok with them?" Iruka asks me.

"I'll be fine Iruka-Sensei." I say to him and he chuckles.

"Do you want help? There are quite a few dogs here." Iruka says to me.

"How many?" I ask him.

"Six." Iruka says to me.

"Yeah, I could use some help then." I say to Iruka and he hums happily.

The dogs surround me and lick my hands and I smile amused by them and I bend down and pet them.

"Your surprisingly good with animals." Iruka says to me.

"They know I'm different, they can sense I'm blind and that I can't cause them any harm." I say and Iruka hums and I put the dogs leashes on them. "There you guys go, you'll be good for us right?" I ask them and they all take turns licking my face and I laugh. "Alright let's go." I say to Iruka who chuckles.

"Right." Iruka says to me and I take the three big dogs while Iruka takes the smaller dogs and we walk them while talking. "You know Anna, you should get a guide dog." Iruka says to me.

"I wouldn't be able to take care of one." I say to him with a nervous smile.

"What about summons?" Iruka asks me.

"Possibly, if I can find the right summons." I say to him.

"You could try the hand seals and see where it takes you." Iruka says to me.

"Maybe later." I say to him and he hums amused.

Later that day

I do the summoning jutsu in my apartment and I suddenly land on my behind with lush grass under my hands and new scents hit my nose.

"Ow, I didn't mean to do that. Where am I now?" I ask.

"Huh? Mommy, there's a strange human here?" I hear something bark cutely.

"There seems to be something wrong with her." Another barks.

"Who's there?" I ask as I get up slowly.

"My, I know who this is." A familiar bark says and my eyes widen.

"Legacy?" I ask and I feel a tail swipe my nose and I smile.

"Anna dear, how are you?" Legacy asks me and I hug her.

"I haven't heard your voice in years." I say to her and she licks my face.

Legacy is a fox, my mom could summon foxes, Legacy was the one who Mom called all the time to watch me. From what I know how Mom described Jerry, she has gray fur with a white tail tip and white ear tips with black paws.

"Anna dear, why didn't you come sooner?" Legacy asks me as she wraps her tail around my arm and leads me somewhere like she used too.

"Sorry, I only just became a ninja a week ago." I say to her.

"And your a week late." Legacy says to me sharply.

"Sorry." I apologize.

"Well sorry isn't going to cut it, what would your mother think?" Legacy scolds me. "You don't seem to be eating properly either, I can smell it, your mother would be so upset." Legacy scolds.

"I know, but I can't make anything other than ramen, cooking wise I'm helpless." I say to her.

"Nonsense, you aren't helpless in any aspect, I'll help you learn to cook." Legacy says to me and I hut my face into the top of her den. "Duck." She says to me.

"Little late for that Legacy." I groan as I rub my forehead and I duck into her den and she teaches me how to make the simplest food that is good for me.

I end up falling asleep in her fox hole with her next to me.
