Anna's POV

"Who won?" I ask Legacy and she laughs.

"She never said, so I'm assuming Ace won." Legacy says to me amused.

"I see." I say to her as I stretch.

"Anyways, back to the story." Legacy says to me.

Kimi's POV - 17 years ago

"Father!" I say annoyed as I walk into his meeting room and he sighs.

"I know, Ace told me about Karma." Father says to me with a sigh. "The marriage is off." Father says to me exasperated.

I smile at him. "Thanks Father." I say to him and he nods.

"But your not to scamper around with Ace." Father says to me and I roll my eyes.

Over the course of the next month Mint gets stronger and looks like a healthy kit, and Ace and Kimi hang out sometimes too but, in secret.

I stand at the Dango shop against the wall with a tea cup in my hands.

"Kimi." Ace says to me with a smile.

I smile at him. "Hey Ace." I say to him and he joins me next to the wall.

"What have you been up to lately?" Ace asks me and I shrug.

"Mostly training, sleeping and uh, oh yeah, pissing Britney off." I say and he chuckles amused.

"How is the kit?" Ace asks me.

"She's great, she's tumbling around with the other kits now." I say and Ace nods with a smile.

"Hey uh, I know this is uh, probably a little odd since we don't hang around much, but uh, do you want to maybe go on a date?" Ace asks me and I feel heat rise to my cheeks.

Being asked out by the guy who beat me, wow.

I nod. "Sure." I say to him with a smile and he nods with a relieved smile.

"Then let's go." Ace says grabbing my hand.

I quickly set the cup down before he drags me. "Now?" I ask confused and he nods with chuckle and I try keeping up with his running pace.

"So, where does the M'lady want to go?" Ace asks me with a smile as we get out of the village.

I wave to the guards and they wave back as I think. "I don't know." I say to him and he nods.

"Well keep up, I know where we can go." Ace says to me with a smile and I nod.

We run for a while before we make it to another village.

"Welcome to the Hidden Leaf Village Kimi." Ace says to me with a smile.

"Heye Ace, who's this?" A guy with blonde hair with an Uzumaki woman next to him.

"This is Kimi Ward." Ace says to him with a smile.

The woman looks right at me with narrowed eyes while I sweat drop nervously.

"Ace, that wasn't necessary you know, I could have introduced myself in a way that it didn't sound like I was an enemy." I say to him and he chuckles. "Anyways, my name is Kimi Ward, I'm the daughter of Haru Ward, I normally don't leave my village, but he asked me on a date, and decided, well, I'm gonna take her out of her village away from the safety of not getting in trouble." I say and Ace nods and the guy chuckles amused.

"My name is Minato Namikaze, the fourth Hokage, this is Kushina Uzumaki, my wife." Minato says to me and I smile at them.

"Its a pleasure to meet the both of you." I say to the two.

"Alright! To Ichiraku's!" Ace cheers grinning and I get confused.

"I don't know what that is." I say and I hear Kushina gasp.

"I know her now! The sheltered princess of the Ward Clan." Kushina says to Minato and I sweat drop.

"Is that really what I'm called?" I ask and Ace nods.

"Sheltered Princess, can't say I've heard of the name." Minato says shaking his head.

"I never heard of it until today." I say to Minato who nods.

"Then that explains the sheltered part." Minato says to me and I nod.

"And for the princess part, I think its because I'm the daughter of Haru who is the head of the Ward Clan." I say to Minato who nods.

"But how did people know you enough to give you that name?" Minato asks me and I shrug.

"I hardly ever leave my village and when I do its to Fox Canyon." I say and we see Kushina and Ace talking about what to do with us and I sweat drop. "Are they always like this?" I ask Minato who nods.

"They're always taking me places, Ace is like her little brother so they get along well." Minato says to me and I nod.

"Alright! The four of us are going on a double date to Ichiraku's!" Ace and Kushina say excitedly.

"I still don't know what that is." I say and Ace just grins.

"Its got the best ramen in the village, they opened a few years ago." Minato says to me and I nod.

"What is ramen?" I ask and everyone falls. "What?" I ask confused.

"She's sheltered all right." Kushina says to them and they nod.

"Just follow me." Ace says to me and I nod confused.

Yeah, I'm so confused.

I follow Ace to a shop with four stools and two owners on the other side of the counter.

"Kimi, you have an interesting clothing style." Kushina says to me and I sweat drop.

"You think interesting while my sister says awful, they're just clothes that were on sale." I say and Kushina nods.

We sit down with Kushina and Ace in the center chatting while me and Minato sweat drop at the ends.

"Who are you?" A woman around my age asks me from behind the counter.

"My name is Kimi, who are you?" I ask her with a nervous smile.

"My name is Ayame, this is my father Teuchi, so, what would you like to eat?" Ayame asks me.

"The special, maybe? I have no idea." I say to her nervously.

"She'll take Miso Ayame." Ace says to her before going back to his conversation.

"Alright, one Miso coming up." Ayame says with a grin and I sweat drop nervously.

He's paying more attention to whatever they're talking about.

After a few minutes a bowl of broth, noodles, pork cutlets, bamboo shoots and a naruto gets placed in front of me.

I see the three suddenly look at me and I sweat drop nervously as their attention sinks into me. "Thanks for the food Ayame." I say to her and she nods with a grin. I break my chopsticks and I start eating the food in front of me and my eyes light up. "This is amazing Ayame." I say to her with a smile.

"YES!" She cheers grinning and I finish my bowl while the other three eat satisfied.

"Sensei-"

I nearly choke on my drink when I hear that voice.

"YOU!" We yell pointing at each other.

"What?" Minato asks confused.

A kid with gravity defying silver hair scowls at me while I scowl back.

"He enters my village one day while I'm at the Dango Shop there and decides to insult the decorations of the shop, and poor granny got her Dango insulted, he's a jerk and I uh, put him in his place." I say the last part with a sweat drop.

"She kicked Kakashi's prodigy ass." Ace says remembering that day since he was there as well.

"Oh really?" Kushina asks curious.

"I had to console granny for over an hour after that." I say as my eye twitches in annoyance at the sight of the boy in front of me.

"I want to fight you again." Kakashi says to me after a moment.

"Not a chance, I already beat you once, isn't one humiliation enough?" I ask him annoyed.

"Who says I'm gonna lose?" Kakashi asks and Minato sweat drops.

"Please take your fighting to a training field." Minato says to us nervously.

"I wasn't gonna fight him, he's just gonna lose anyways." I say and I finish my tea.

"No, fight." Ace and Kushina say to me with lit up eyes.

I sweat drop nervously as I lean away from them, uncomfortable. "How much do I owe Ayame?" I ask changing the subject.

She tells me how much and I pay then I get out if the shop, passing Kakashi, not giving him a glance.

"A fight huh? Mmm, still my answer is no." I say as I out my hands in my coat pockets. "Ace, can I go home now? Or?" I ask him.

"Not a chance! We want you to fight Kakashi." Ace says to me and him and Kushina chant fight.

"If I fight him, then can I go home back to the comfort and safety of my own village?" I ask Ace as I point to the kid.

"Maybe." Ace says to me and I sigh.

"Fine, I'll fight the kid." I say and we get pushed to a training field almost immediately.

I sweat drop as Kakashi stands ready in front of me and I just wait.

Kakashi rushes at me with a Kunai and I jump over him and I twist and turn towards him and I land on my heels sliding back and he keeps an eye on me as I stop with my hands in my pockets.

I continue dodging Kakashi before he stops all of a sudden and I crouch, just in time to dodge some kunai being flung at me and I shrug slightly.

"I think its my turn now." I say and I take my hands out of my pockets and I jump at Kakashi and I twist in the air and I flip on my hands and I kick him in the stomach and he flies back and I appear behind him and I elbow him in the back and he flies into the ground and I land neatly on the ground, not a hair out of place.

Kakashi poofs into a log and I observe it for a moment, surprised, but I duck and he flies over me.

"Substitution Jutsu, that's smart." I say  as I pull the kunai that was holding my hair up, out of my hair and I block Kakashi's kunai as my hair falls down my back.

I start overwhelming Kakashi with just one kunai and he hastily blocks, unable to do any hand signs.

I smile at Kakashi. "So, shall I finish this?" I ask him.

He scowls at me and I don't look fazed by it, until he pulls his headband up and I see the Sharigan.

"YES!" Ace cheers.

I bitch slap him into a tree before he could react and I close my eyes immediately as to not get snared in a Gen-Jutsu.

OK, severe disadvantage now, but I can handle this.

I sense Kakashi speed up and he attacks me and I block him quickly.

I think severe is an understatement now.

Kakashi jumps back and I sense his chakra stir and I jump out of the way of his summons and I tch in annoyance at that and I summon Legacy as I land.

"Legacy, where are Kakashi's summons?" I ask her.

"Behind us of course, where else?" Legacy asks me and I nod and we jump out of the way and I do some hand signs and I touch the ground. "Mud wall." I say and I sense the dogs hit the wall head on and I nod. Me and Legacy dodge Kakashi then I sense him appear behind me and I curse.

I feel bandages wrap around me and then I suddenly get dizzy from all the spinning and as we crash, I use the substitution jutsu and I appear in a tree.

Legacy lands next to me on the branch and I pet her head as I think.

"He has a Sharigan." Legacy says to me.

"I know, I'm thinking of a plan." I say and I sense her nod under my palm. "Whack a mole technique, want to try?" I ask her and she nods under my hand and she stays in the tree while I jump down in the field with my eyes open.

I see Kakashi waiting for me and I gather some chakra in my fist and I jump at him and he quickly dodges and I punch the ground and I flip onto my feet and I round house kick Kakashi into a tree and Legacy delivers the final blow with a rock or the head and he falls on the ground unconscious.

I kneel down as Legacy walks over to me and I smile at her as I scratch her under the chin and she leans into my hand.

"At least you aren't injured." I say to Legacy as I check her over.

"You are?" Legacy asks sniffing me and sees a cut on my arm and she licks it clean as I smile amused and I pet her on the head. I wrap the cut on my arm up due to her request and I put my coat back on and I get up.

"You can head home now Legacy." I say to her with a smile.

"Fine." Legacy says to me and she poofs away.

I walk over to Kakashi and he looks up at me with a small glare and I smile at him as I hold out my hand. "Don't challenge me again, alright?" I ask him and he rolls his eyes annoyed and I hit him on the head. "Weren't you ever taught manners?" I ask him annoyed.

"Not to people I don't like." Kakashi says to me annoyed and my eye twitches.

"Well if you keep acting like this, nobody will like you." I say to Kakashi annoyed by his attitude and he looks at me slightly surprised but he ignores me and I sigh in annoyance as I pinch the bridge of my nose. "What a drag." I say and Ace chuckles amused from the branch above us.

"Alright Kakashi, be nice to her, she's trying her best, her clan really isn't all that nice to each other so this is out of her comfort zone." Ace says to him and I pout.

"Its not too out of my comfort zone, I'm nice to animals." I say to Ace who nods.

"Yes, but are you nice to people?" Ace inquires.

"Animals are people too." I say to him and he sighs. "They have a heart just like us." I say and he shakes his head amused.
