Thomas P.O.V

I look down at the ground and notice what Virgil is talking about. "Well noticed Virgil!" I say praising him. He looks at me shyly and gives a small nod. Oh Virgil... when will I ever get to see my boy smile? You see Virgil isn't my son but I've raised him ever since he was twelve. Ever since his mother had died. When he was 10, his father split, full of it, debt ridden Two years later, see Virgil and his mother bed-ridden. Half-dead, sitting in their own sick, the scent thick And Virgil got better, thanks to Patton and Dolan. I took him in and raised him. When he was 18 I asked him if he wanted to work in the castle and he agreed. For the 19 years I've known him, I haven't seen him smile in the past seven and it breaks my heart. "Wait...ARE WE GOING ON AN ADVENTURE!?!!" Roman screams causing me to chuckle. "Yes, son. We're going on an adventure." I reply smiling. Roman is obviously excited. Patton looks happy, and Virgil? Virgil looks terrified...I'm hoping that changes by the time we are back.

Logan's P.O.V

"Dolan...love...the sun is setting." I say kinda tired. "I know dearest. There's a cave about a mile up ahead. If we pick up the pace we can be there just as the sun sets fully." He says. I sigh and catch up to him just wanting to sleep. When we get to the cave Dolan helps me up on to one of the flat rocks. "D-dolan. There's a nest here." I say terrified. "I know my dearest. You have to trust me." He says. He walks back to the entrance to the cave and let's out a strange call. Moments later a huge animal comes in shaking out it's feathers and fur. "I've read about those. That's a hippogriff." I say staring at the creature in astonishment. "Correct. Logan this is Ton ami." He says running his hands down the creatures neck. "Ton ami. French for Your friend." I whisper. "Correct again dearest. We'll be staying here tonight and tomorrow, Ton ami will be joining us on our journey." Dolan says. He Walks back up to me, followed by the Hippogriff. Ton ami lays down and Dolan looks at me lovingly. "Logan dearest, I want you to be warm. Lay down next to Ton ami. He won't hurt you. I promise." Dolan says looking at me. I cautiously lay down in the middle of his two front legs and relax at the warmth coming from him. He looks down at me and pulls me closer using his front talon. I Cuddle close to his chest, his soft feathers providing much needed warmth. "He likes you." Dolan calls laying down next to me. I pet Ton ami's feathers and he lets out a happy chirp. I settle down and Finally fall into a peaceful sleep.
