Angel is trying her best to cope yet everything is weighing on her. Her life seems to be toppling over like dominos when she thinks it's over the next one begins to fall but how much can she take?

"Shopping?" Debbie asked.

"Yeah, I just wanna get my mind off things," I sighed, knowing my request was unusual.

"Alright then let's go," She said to which Annaya and Nia nodded.

Before I knew it, we were walking through the mall with multiple bags in our hand. Entering store after store. "I need this store for foundation," Debbie said stopping us.

We all entered and went to the part of the store which had foundation. Debbie picked her foundation and I got my concealer. While Annaya and Nia scanned through mascara and lipstick. "Is this my colour?" Annaya asked.

"No it's a bit bright," Nia replied. They continued to search for lipstick before finding their colours. We all paid for our make-up before exiting the store.

 As we turned the corner I crashed into someone chest but as I waited for my body to fall to the floor I felt a strong-arm save me. "Thank you," I said to the man who concealed his face with a mask all except for the eyes which the hazel orbs looked all too familiar. He let go of my waist once I regained my balance.

I was immediately thrown out of my thoughts by Kurume. He was stood slightly behind the man as if he was following him. "Lilith, long time no see," He said awkwardly thee tension was so awkward you could've cut it with a knife.

"Hi..." Was all I could reply with.

"Let's go," Annaya said breaking the silence.

"Thank you, again for breaking my fall," I said to the stranger who hadn't uttered a word. He glanced at me and walked away, I watched him do so in confusion.

"That sure was something!" Debbie exclaimed excitedly.

"We defo need a new mall," Nia added.

"Does he look familiar to you?" I asked trying to match eyes to a face.

"Everyone looks familiar," Debbie replied, "Probably saw him at the club multiple times," She shrugged. We continued our spree not missing a single sale sign or any store in general; it felt nice as if I was restoring my element.

When we arrived home the boys were all sat in their usual spaces except they were screaming at each other while playing a game in their phones. After realising that we were present they paused their game and greeted us with smiles. "Hi, little sis," Brandon smiled before hugging me. After a while of just letting him hold me, I hugged him back.

"Hello there, idiot," I replied when he let go. To which everyone laughed.

"Oh you," He then ruffled my hair.

I looked at him annoyed, "Do that again and I swear you'll regret it!" To which he slowly moved away from me.

"So why do you all have 100 bags?" Elijah asked. Which was definitely a stretch as we had about 10 but from multiple stores.

"We were just having a flick through," Debbie smiled.

"This isn't you going all out?" Lucas asked.

"You know it's not," Nia laughed.

"Thanks for today," I smiled slightly and I with that went upstairs to put my things away. Colour coding everything from shoes to makeup.

Once I was finished I caught sight of myself in the mirror. I looked like the old Angel wrapped in Michael's hoodie. That brought a smile to my face that even if it was a small fragment Angel was still living she wasn't dead yet.

My heart missed a beat at the thought I had seen Kurume again...

"Angel it's dinner time," I jumped startled, Axel was at the door frame. "Sorry, I did knock you just didn't respond,"

"Oh okay coming," I replied after being thrown out of my thoughts.

I followed Axel downstairs, to the smell of pizza. I sat in between Nia and Annaya.

"You might have to move to another sofa," Nia said.

I stared at her concussed "Why?" I asked.

"Because every sofa has a different pizza so we might not have your favourite one," Annaya replied.

"Oh okay don't tell me which pizza goes with who I'll be biased," I replied looking around

"Okay your options are Pepperoni, Barbecue chicken or Hawaiian pizza," Lucas said.

"Barbecue chicken," I said without any thought.

I looked around trying to guess who matched with the pizza across from me was Debbie, Elijah and Axel. "Debbie, you're Hawaiian pizza right?" I asked.

"Yeah, how did you know?" She asked surprised.

"I guessed since you had a pineapple smoothy earlier," I replied with a shrug.

I looked at Nia and Annaya sadly "You guys are pepperoni right?"

"No, we aren't, where did that guess come from?" Annaya asked.

"Brandon is obsessed with chicken," I replied.

"Yeah, I am so I like to have a break with pepperoni pizza. Awww little Angel knows us so well." Brandon said in a stupid voice.

"Shut up," I glared at him.

The pizza was passed around and we began to eat. After one slice I already felt full.

"You done already?" Nia asked.

"Yeah, I feel full," I replied knowing I didn't have an appetite.

"How you didn't eat the whole day and the strawberry smoothie doesn't count?" She continued eying me down.

"Thanks, Nia expose me why don't you?"

"What was that Angel, you last ate when?" Lucas asked.

"Just now didn't you see," I said sarcastically. "But seriously can everyone drop it, please,"

I sat on my phone and scrolled through Instagram it was so weird. Monica would post day in day out and now I was seeing her face but not on here account but on everyone else's. With I sigh, I took out my headphones and played music.

Once everyone was finished I removed and earphones. Nia smiled at me and I gave her a suspicious look. "What are you up to?" I asked.

"When is your birthday?" She asked.

"I can't remember," I replied. "When's yours?"

"Elijah and I birthday is September 15 th, so tell me yours."

"Guys I'm tired," I said avoiding the subject.

"Come on Angel," Lucas said.

" I feel bad even thinking of my birthday, plus didn't you guys find out when you snooped through my phone,"

"Well no but yes, I saw the date but then I lost it after getting too happy I am older than you," Brandon said scratching his head.

Wasn't the whole purpose of taking my phone to find out my birthday how did they all forget...

"So you looked through my things but didn't do it right," I said raising an eyebrow. "Wow well done Brandon,"

"Why don't you wanna tell us, mine is October 9 th," Lucas said.

"Mine is October 12th," Axel said.

"Umm okay," I replied.

"Mine is October 8 th," Brandon said.

"November 1st," She said, "Though I prefer not to celebrate it."

"October 2nd," Annaya said and that date echoed. It was the same day I lost my mom.

"I'll note these down I'm tired," I forced out. I fought with the sounds in my head of my mother's last heartbeat. It hadn't haunted my dreams for a long period of time. With every ounce of me, I attempted to put it to the back of my head.

"Please stay we're watching a film?" Brandon asked looking me in my eyes.

"Okay just give me a second," I replied. I walked to my room biting back tears, by now I knew, that if I started I couldn't stop. I began to take deep breaths and began to clear my head. I held tightly to the hoodie which was wrapped around me feeling a slight calm.

I hated that even though he wasn't with me he had that effect on me a source of calm...

Pulling myself together, I took one more deep breath and went downstairs. Through the movie, I saw that we all had common ground that we all liked horror movies though Lucas had to turn a creepy moment into a funny one to cope. Also, everyone sat in different seats for the movie to spice things up. Conveniently Brandon and Annaya ended up sat next to each other as well as Lucas and Nia, of course, Elijah and Debbie which left me and Axel third well more like eight wheeling. The movie was a good laugh and we all had a good time.

I felt at ease that night

Wednesday 6th November

Two days had passed where we plotted another attack it was nearly time for my freedom since I would've made a full recovery. Tiredly, I rose from the bed and began to start my day. Not long after I was sat downstairs with everyone discussing their night's sleep.

Night arrived soon as I spent most of the day napping our aim was to catch a gang called 97 when returning from an exchange and they would think that it was another gang anyways, they were not aware that we knew they existed. I got changed into black clothing and grabbed my backpack before joining everyone in the car. 

"Sorry I fell asleep," I said putting on my seatbelt.

"It's fine it's not like we are on a tight schedule," Lucas said sarcastically.

"Really thanks here I was thinking I was late," I smiled.

He didn't respond instead drove off. "Lilith, you want to be on the computers?" Elijah asked.

"You guys don't believe me anyway so no thank you," I said while rolling my eyes.

The rest of the journey I listened to music preparing myself. Upon arriving at the destination, we all cautiously got out of the car, except Axel, and made our way towards the building. Confusion consumed us when we realised all the doors were unlocked as if they had been waiting for us. Yet Axel said that no cars or people were surrounding us. We continued to walk towards the room where their drugs were kept all our guns in hand ready to shoot.

We opened the door and entered the room confused as it looked a mess. We were welcomed by bullets from the Cheetas ...
