Catherine meets Sukankunazumi

Catherine POV

I knew I had to make a decision as to which family I wanted to be a part of, the turtles who I had grown to love or the Shredder and the foot clan. After meditating for hours I came to the conclusion that if the Shredder truly loved me as he claimed then it shouldn't be long before he sent his ninja robots or his protégés to rescue me.

After several days in the lair and no sign of the foot clan I sighed. Obviously, I wasn't important to the Shredder. It seemed me that the decision had been made for me. The Shredder's claims that he loved me and would always come for me had obviously been a lie.

Perhaps, so had everything else he had told me. Maybe the Shredder wasn't my father, perhaps this other man who's face kept flashing through my mind was my father. My thoughts were interrupted by Donnie's perimeter alarm.

"Ah guys, I think we have a problem" said Donnie looking at his computer screen.

"What's up Donnie"Leo asked walking over to Donnie's work station.

"As you know I created a perimeter alarm to warn us when an enemy is approaching our location."

"Quit with the explanations and get to the point Donnie, we don't have all day you know." Raph said with a frown.

"Ah, Right", Donnie replied and continued, as I was saying I programmed the alarm to show us what is approaching here on the screen. I have a different color codes for different people in the system." Red for Raph, blue for Leo, orange for Mikey, purple for myself, yellow for April, brown for Master Splinter, white for Casey and green for Catherine.

"Could you please get on with it Donnie?!" Raph said starting to get frustrated.

"I also programmed colors for our known enemies. Whatever is headed our way isn't something we've faced before. It's moving in our direction at a rather alarming speed and it's rather large."

Shredder POV

Meanwhile back at the foot headquarters I decided that it was unwise to trust Sukankuzumi with the task of retrieving my daughter. The last time he had left if up to someone else his wife had almost died and Catherine had also almost been killed.  "Razhar I'm going out you are in charge till I get back. "

"Will you be gone long Master?"

"Not if all goes according to plan."

Karai called to me "Orror saki", ....
I turned around and faced Karai. "that name means nothing to me, I'd be careful how you address me my dear. I am not a forgive man. You of all people should know that. Address me in such a manner again it'll be the last thing you ever do!"

My words hit Karai like a knife. "What of your daughter? Will you disown her as you have me should she make the same mistake?" Karai demanded.

"That is none of your concern! Razhar keep a close watch on the prisoner while I'm gone."With that I left.

Catherine POV

Back at the lair the turtles had decided to split up to figure out what was causing the alarm to sound. Raph was going to search the alleys  and nearby streets, Leo was going to do a perimeter sweep via roof tops,  Mikey was going to search the tunnels and Donnie  going to monitor  via the turtle van computer system and report any activity to his brother's. I decided that I wanted to go on patrol with Raph.

"Forget it kid, I patrol alone, besides its not safe for you out there."

"Don't call me..."

"Yeah, yeah I know don't call you kid." Raph said with a slight smile.

I frowned I wasn't about to sit around and do nothing while the turtles had all the fun. However, before I could make my exit I was stopped in my tracks by Splinter. "Where  you are going my child? It is too dangerous for you to be above on your own."

"I am not your daughter, you have no right to tell me what to do nor do you have the right to keep me here. I stated mater of factly.

I could see the hurt in Master Splinter's eyes has he replied "it is true, I cannot keep you here but remember this young one, while you may not be my biological child I have come to see you as family. I took you in, trained you alongside my sons and have tried to help you overcome the horrors of your past."

"Always remember, your true family is not the one you are born into but the ones who love you. People you can reply on, people who will be there for you no matter what you are going through. I will not stop you from leaving but please keep what I have said in mind young one."

"I will, but I must see what it was that triggered the alarm. I must discover the truth. With that I slipped out of the Lair and into the night.

It didn't take me long to come face to face with who had tripped the alarm. I stared up at this enormous skunk/ porcupine man. "I was starting to think the Shredder didn't care about me."

"He doesn't care about you. The Shredder only cares about revenge. He sent me to capture you so that we can use you as bait to lure the Turtles to their doom. It's it ironic that I set my trap for turtles and instead I catch my good for nothing spoiled little daughter."Sukankuzumi said with a slight smile.

"Daddy? I mean, Officer Arthur? Is that you?"

"No, not anymore, weren't you listening? I became this Skunk porcupine creature because of you!"

"I don't understand."

"Why must I always explain everything to you as if your a baby? Are you incapable of understanding anything your being told? Because I was searching for you the Shredder found me and turned me into this creature."

"I thought you hated me, why would you be searching for me daddy?"

"What have I told you about calling me daddy?" Sukankuzumi replied with a growl, grabbing Me roughly by the arm leaving claw marks in my wrist as he dragged me down the alley.

"I'm sorry, Please forgive me. I never wanted any of this to happen. Please let me go. Please..."

"Shut up!" Sukankuzumi growled. "Quit your whining! Or so help me I'll..." Sukankuzumi raised his hand as if to strike me. I closed my eyes and turned my head preparing to feel his hand strike my cheek at any moment. "Of quit your whimpering ! I'm not going to hit you." Sukankuzumi replied.

"You always hit me when I irritate you." I replied looking up at Sukankuzumi confused.

"That was mearly warning, you know that where I come from there are penalties when women and children lie. Especially if that child is a girl."

"I didn't lie Arthur. You are the only father I have ever known. What would make you think I'd want this to happen to you?" I replied with a frown.

"Don't sass me you lady! Or I will punish you and a slap will be the least of your worries! Don't ever call me by my first name again! It doesn't matter, wether you wanted this to happen or not what's done is done!"

"Ummm...."

"Spit it out girl." Sukaankuzumi said with a frustrated growl.

"May I ask you a question?"

"Sure." Sukankuzumi replied the irritation evident in his voice.

"Was there ever a time when you loved me for even a moment?" I asked the hurt in my voice evident.

"As the step mother in Ever After says how can anyone love a pebble in their shoe. You were always a burden to your mother and I. Your like a pesky weed that refuses to die. You've been a thorn in my side since day one. Even now you manage to ruin my life." Sukaankuzumi replied.

"There must be something I can do to help you. Come back to the turtle's lair with me. I'm sure Donnie can whip up some anti mutagen and have you back to yourself in no time. He's really smart, he's made anti mutagen before I'm sure he can do it again."

"Tempting offer but, no, that life is gone.  Because of you I lost my job, my wife and now I am no longer human. The Shredder saw to that." Sukankuzumi retorted. "Officer Arthur is dead you can call me Sukankuzumi on second thought your so stupid I doubt you'd be able to pronounce it correctly. So just call me Suka for short."

"As for your idea forget it! I am more powerful now then I ever was as a human. I'll make you suffer for what has been done to me. Right about now the poison in my quills and claws should have entered your blood stream. It'll only be a matter of time before your going to wish you were dead. You are going to help me trap those turtle friends of yours wether you want to or not."

"No, please!" I moaned as everything started spinning around me."

"I see the Master was right not to not trust you Sukankuzumi" Came the booming voice of Tiger Claw. "Your orders were to destroy the turtles and retrieve the Master's daughter not threaten her life. What did you mean she will be dead soon?"

"Tiger Claw, what a surprise, what brings you here?" Sukankuzumi asked searching for where Tiger Claw's voice was coming from. "You are right on time. I was just about to put my plan to finish off those pesky turtles into motion."

"Just how were you going to destroy the turtles when they aren't even here? The Tiger Claw demanded."

"The answer to your question is simple, the turtles seem to care about my, I mean Master Shredder's daughter. They seem very protective of her as if they consider her a member of their family. I was going to force her to set a trap for them."

"Please don't make me do this" I begged looking up at Sukankuzumi receiving only an evil smile in response.

"I gave my word not to harm the master's daughter. The poison won't kill her it'll just give her the appearance of being nearly dead. The turtles will do whatever it takes to save her life, including surrendering to me."

"It'll crush them when they realize that she betrayed them. They will never trust her again, and once that happens they will abandon her. She will awaken just in time to watch them turn their backs on her. Just in time to watch them die."

"No" I moaned once again the poison had started to take effect. I wished that I had listened to Master Splinter and had stayed in the turtle's lair.
