Chapter 6

Garmillas Lunar Embassy.
Moon

Dock sentry: Andromeda, you are clear to proceed to dock 5. Commonwealth, you are clear on dock 6.

Andromeda: Copy, proceeding with docking.

Both Battleship and Frigate were on approach towards the embassy, they slowed down as both were getting closer and eventually both came to a halt.

Dock sentry: Docking complete, welcome to the embassy you two.

Disembarking from their ships, they entered the embassy.

Andromeda: Don't be shocked when you meet any Garmillans, they do look like humans.

Commonwealth: I'm already well aware...

He looked at several Garmillan soldiers that were patrolling.  He was unnerved by the fact they look like humans.

Andromeda: We're almost at Burrell's office. Even if they look alot like humans, they're still aliens. So act professional.

Commonwealth: Oh gee, what could a 27 year genocidal war veteran would do to break peace?

The Frigate joked out, the Battleship could only give an irritated growl at the veteran warship.

Andromeda: Damned battleship sized frigate...

They soon found themselves standing in front of the office doors, two guards stood at attention and halted them.

Garmillan Guard 1: Halt! What is the purpose of your visit?

Andromeda: Ambassador Loren Burrell and General Commander-in-Chief Heikuro Todo request both our presence.

The two guards looked at each other before nodding, one of them stood guard while the other used the intercom.

Garmillan Guard 1: They're here, sir.

Intercom: Allow them in.

Garmillan Guard 1: At once.

The guard who was on the intercom turned back.

Garmillan Guard 1: You two may enter. And you, don't cause any trouble.

He pointed towards the frigate, to which he only shrugged. The guards soon opened the door for the two and they entered to which the doors closed again behind them as they continued to walk forward. Inside the office both Loren Burrell and Heikuro Todo waited for them.

Todo: Commonwealth, Andromeda, glad both of you can make it.

The two ships stopped and saluted in their own military fashion .

Commonwealth: Glad to only be on time, sir.

Todo It is. Commonwealth, I want you to meet Garmillas Empire Ambassador to Earth Loren Burrel.

Burrell stood up from his chair and extended his hand towards Commonwealth.

Burrell: It is a pleasure to meet you.

Commonwealth replied with a handshake.

Commonwealth: Pleasure's all mine, sir. UNSC Paris-Class Heavy Frigate, UNSC Commonwealth. FFG-299.

Burrell nods as the two parted their handshake.

Burrell: Now, the reason why I ask for an audience with you, Commonwealth, is because of a matter regarding Garmillas' twin planet Iscandar.

Burrell then places a holographic device on his table as it opens and projects it's contents.

Burrell: A strange message had came from something on Iscandar, we and Princess Yurisha were able to decipher and translate it. Though it took quite some time.

The message read ""First phase of reclamation initiated. Artifacts must be recovered. Bring human warship, UNSC Commonwealth." In both English, Garmillan, and it's original.

Todo: Since you are the only ship with that name, we figured that you might have some knowledge upon this.

Commonwealth stared at the message awed and concerned.

Commonwealth: With all due respect, sir. I know nothing of the artifacts. But what I DO know is the fact that the original message... Uses Forerunner dialect.

Burrell: Forerunner?

Commonwealth: Apologies sir, but to put it in a condensed explanation. Forerunners are an advanced alien species originating from my world.

Burrell: I see...

Commonwealth: Not only is their technology advanced than any species. It is more likely to be more advanced than any other tech in THIS galaxy alone.

Todo: Do you have any kind of proof of this?

Commonwealth: Sadly no. The UNSC has almost everything tight under lock and key. The top brass only has access to those files. But what I do know a little bit of insight is that Forerunner slipspace tech is so advanced that they can jump to any point in the galaxy or outside it near instantaneously.

Burrell: So that means...

Commonwealth: Yes, a Forerunner ship can possibly jump from Earth to Iscandar in a blink of an eye. I say 'probably' is because little is known about them.

Burrell: Do you think they're still alive?

Commonwealth: They're extinct in my world so the hopes them being alive here is impossible.

Todo: Hmm... We were considering to request you to come to Iscandar and help us investigate this. But I can see that you're concerned.

Commonwealth: And rightfully so, because the Forerunners also created the Halo rings.

Andromeda: Wait, "Halo rings"?

The frigate turns towards Andromeda.

Commonwealth: You know how powerful your, 'Wave Motions Guns' are yes?

Andromeda: Yes? Well I can wipe out entire fleets.

Commonwealth: Halo rings can wipe out any living being made out of flesh in a galactic scale.

Todo: You said "Rings." Does this imply that there are multiple of these?

Commonwealth: Yes, the UNSC had discovered several of the rings. There's 04, 05, 03, and 07. Going from Alpha, Delta, Gamma, and Zeta.

Burrell: You've found only four?

Commonwealth: So far. In total there's seven rings. Each of them having a range of 25,000.

Andromeda: Miles?

Commonwealth 25,000 Light Years. Combined they basically span the whole galaxy maybe more at 300,000 Light Years.

The entire room was shocked upon hearing the absurd range of the halo's.

Todo: W-Which one is the closest to Earth?

Commonwealth: Installation-04 or more known by the UNSC as Alpha Halo. The first one to be discovered by the UNSC and subsequently the first to be destroyed.

The frigate turned his attention the UNCF General Commander-in-Chief.

Commonwealth: If Forerunner tech is on Iscandar I might have to travel there, sir. I would wish to prevent another war involving mass galactic genocide because of some religion regarding the Forerunners.

Todo: You have my support, but Serizawa might have concerns and a bit of untrust.

Andromeda: Sir, if what Commonwealth is saying nearly happened in his world then we can't take chances! The whole galaxy is at stake!

Todo thought for a moment before lifting his head back up.

Todo: I'll see what I can do, in the meantime Commonwealth, you are allowed to use the time fault's facilities.

Commonwealth: Sir, are there... Any other shipyard that I can use? Preferably ones with strong enough docking clamps or a space borne dockyard.

Andromeda: You're a frigate. How heavy can you be?

Commonwealth: Exactly 1.3 Million tonnes.

The room went silent upon hearing the number. But within, something snapped within Andromeda.

Andromeda: ...Ahahah... I see.

Todo: *Ahem* There is a dockyard at high orbit above Japan, it should be able to house you there until we can think of what to do. Both of you are dismissed.

The two saluted and exited the office. Andromeda was still silent.

Commonwealth: You okay?

Andromeda: Yeah... I'm okay... I'll be heading to the time fault.

Commonwealth: Sure, I'll contact you once I'm done.

The two warships parted ways.

Andromeda: *sob* IT'S NOT EVEN FAIR!! *hic*

Andromeda cried out as she drinks a bottle of sake.

Amaterasu: Sis stop drinking, please. You're going to get drunk.

Andromeda continued to drink as she cried. Being comforted by her sisters.

TBC

(Yeah I also just found out that UNSC ships weight in the millions.)
