Chapter 14: It's My Fight Now

People might been saying that I was just to harsh on that guard but I was in pain and my heart was ready to burst. He questioned my credibility when he had seen the prince for his own eyes.

I can’t take anymore pain. I can feel my heart being covered in a molten hot shell of hatred and pain. I can feel the molten lava turning hard and solidifying against my cold heart. I know what it wants. It wants revenge against Anne. It wants her blood.

“Kitty Kat are you alright?”

“Not now Rassy. I need to find Anne.”

“What happened?”

“Conrad drugged me, just like Anne wanted, she pulled me into another Ulmenris. Before I could leave it she wounded Conrad, and now I want her head on a platter.”

“You need to be careful I can feel what has happened and this is very dangerous for both you and Conrad. You need to calm down, I’m sure you’re seeing red right now.”

“Originally yes. Now its all…I don’t know how to put it but I know I want to be the one to get revenge on Anne.” Erasmus grabbed me by the arms and pulled me into a hug. “Rassy, what are you doing?” I was partially muffled but it still came out sour.

“You can cry if you want to, Kat.” I pulled away so he could see my face.

“Is that all you think of me? A crybaby? Well this crybaby’s eyes have run the well dry.” I turned and started to walk away, but I looked at the ground over my shoulder. “I won’t cry while Anne is alive.” I walked away leaving Erasmus glowering in my direction.

I admit it. I didn’t like treating him like that. It was uncalled for. But I can’t be seen as weak anymore. And like hell I’m going to let some crazy ass woman determine if I live or die.

I walked to the armory and grabbed my twin blades, oh yeah Conrad decided to get me these, to get me to start training. It did the trick because they are what made me want to learn fighting. There were five other men in the armory just staring at me.

“Are you alright miss?” One said when he finally gained the courage.

“Gather all the men you can. Anne is on the grounds and injured the Prince. We have sealed the gate. She is not getting out anytime soon. But you are to capture her and bring her to me.”

“Yes milady.”

I grabbed a couple of daggers before turning to the guards again. “When you gather your guards meet me in the library. We have somewhere to look.”

“Yes milady.” They all said in unison.

I stormed out of the room leaving them with stunned faces. She is not getting away. If my hunch is correct she is going to be use those secret passages around the castle. I walked through the familiar passage to the library and made it inside within ten minutes of leaving the armory. I walked into the middle of the thread bare rug, right where I stood when Conrad first showed me the Library.

I stood, one hand resting on the hilt of my sword, the other balled into a fist at my side. I left the lights as they were when I came in. Conrad had turned on the ones on the walls and I stood in the shadows. The light barely hitting my form. And that is when I heard it. The metallic clicking I heard when the passage to the labyrinth had opened. I heard it close again and saw a figure creeping along down the aisle. Her eyes hadn’t fallen upon my still figure yet but I could see her clearly.

Anne. She had the same white blond hair as Conrad. It draped gracefully to the small of her back and had been fastened into a braid. Her eyes were nothing like her brother and sister’s though. They were black and cold as ice without a ounce of forgiveness. They radiated the hatred that filled them. Her lips were formed into a tight seam and chapped more than I thought a princesses lips would be. And as she came into the light more I saw a deep scar go across her right cheek.

She glided among the bookcases to the center of the room. She only noticed me when I pulled out my swords which glittered in the faint glow of the walls. “Hello Anne.”

“Hello Kat.” We stood like that for a few seconds and she pulled out her own sword, still glistening ruby red, with Conrad’s blood.

I am currently hiding in my top secret lair inside the castle. It took me a while to get through the labyrinth but I finally found a little room off one of the passages to hide from the villigers and the mob. Suddenly a cat comes in. she screechs at me. Apparently she works for the dogs because the next thing I hear is their barks comeing down the passageway.

TyTyEngelman: There she is!!!!

Jackie17: Good work Kiki!! Yeah now I have 8 dogs, a Lizard named Gorganox , and a cat named Kiki.

Anne: What is going on here?

Me: Oh Anne good youre here. If you help me out of this I will change your ending!

Anne: Fine. *pulls out swords* You owe me.

Me: Hey at least be nice...you wouldn't exist if I didn't write you. *I pull out my nerf sword and Anne and I duel* In the process of our duel Anne makes her way to the library and I manage to escape while typing the fact that Anne doesn't remember the deal I made with her. No one will find me now.
