Amara Davenoux was a simple girl. Like most kids of her age, she was obsessed with the Harry Potter series and most nights were spent watching the movies. But what made her different from most people, was that she had a gift. A gift that could make her shift realities. Amara enjoyed her gift and would often use it to shift into the Harry Potter world. She had created her own reality in the world and would use it as an escape from her current reality.

Amara was now thirteen. The first time she experienced her gift, she was eleven. But with her gift came depression. Each time she used her gif she became more and more depressed when she shifted back to her current reality. The love and friendships she made during her shifting, made her realize how lonely and out of place she felt in her world. There was no amount of happiness that could make the girl as happy as she was with her friends at Hogwarts.

She could still remember the first time she shifted and accidentally woke up in a non-familiar room.

As she opened her eyes, Amara was met with a bright light shining over her. Squirming and rubbing her eyes with her right hand, she sat up in the bed and was ready to wake up to go to school. But as she was ready to take in the sight of her bedroom once more, she was met with unfamiliar walls. Maybe she still was asleep and only dreaming.

Rubbing her eyes once more and blinking twice, Amara still couldn't see her familiar beige walls and emerald green beddings. Nor was she met by her cat, Whiskers. All she could see was brown walls and multiple beds. Next to the bed, she was laying in, stood a small night table with a cup. She reached over to the side and grabbed the cup hoping that it was water. But when the liquid touched her lips, she felt the thickness and lumps and spit it out again. Making gaging noises, Amara placed the cup back on the table.

"Great, you're awake." The doors to the room opened up and in walked a woman Amara had never seen before.

"Where am I?"

"You're at Hogwarts my dear."

After that incident, Amara learned more about what shifting was and learned how to control it. When she was in full control of it, she would spend many nights at Hogwarts becoming friends with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. She would join them on their adventures, and when the time was right Amara would wake up in her bedroom again.

So when night time came and the moon and stars glowed on the sky, Amara thought it would be the perfect opportunity to use her gift. She locked her bedroom door, turned off her lights, and laid in her bed. She focused on her breathing and imagined her mind and body going elsewhere.

Almost feeling like her body was falling, Amara landed with a thud on something hard. Groaning and feeling like her back just broke, the young girl opened her eyes to be met with a pair of brown ones staring at her. The eyes were all too familiar to the girl and a smile was placed on her face.

"Hermione."
