"How much experience do you guys have with the Mutliverse?" America questioned.

Elena's eyes widened, "The mutliverse? Are you serious? This is way above my pay grade."

"We have experience with the Multiverse most recently there was an incident with Spiderman—"

"Wait—Peter? What happened?" Elena questioned.

"Who's Peter?" Stephen asked, and Elena gave him a look. What did he mean who's Peter?

"What-Man?" America interrupted.

"Spiderman. He has the powers of a spider." Stephen answered.

"Hence the name," Wong added.

"Gross." America's nose ruffled, "Does he look like a Spider?"

"No. No, more like a man."

"Climbs walls. Shoots webs."

"Out of his butt?" America asked.

"No."

"Well maybe I don't know—honestly I hope not." Stephen shook his head.

"Oh and he has like this sixth sense where he can tell threats are coming." Elena added.

"Super weird." America noted before biting into her pizza.

"You're gonna get a stomach ache." Stephen noted.

"I'm from another universe," she said her mouth half-full, "How do you know my stomach's the same as yours?"

"I don't," Stephen quipped, "I don't even know if you're from another universe which is why I'm still sitting here waiting for you to enlighten us."

"Gotta say, out of the two Dr. Stranges I've met...you're not my favorite." America quipped in Spanish.

Elena and Wong snickered, as Stephen asked, "Which means?"

"Does he not know Spanish?" America rose an eyebrow.

"I'm not even sure he enjoys speaking English." Wong informed them.

"Look," Stephen started, "I left a very nice wedding to save a smart-ass kid from getting eaten by an octopus."

"Whose wedding?" Wong asked as Stephen continued.

"Now tell me..." he briefly paused looking at Wong, "Christine's"

"What?"

"Holy shit you married Christine?" America exclaimed.

"Who's Christine?" Elena leaned forward in her chair.

"No I didn't," he answered America and then turned to Wong, "Yes."

Then he finally looked at Elena, "My ex. Now, you need to explain to me what's going on. Why was that octopus trying to eat you?"

"You went to your ex's wedding?" Elena arched an eyebrow at the man.

"He was trying to kidnap me." America stated, "it's like a henchmen that works for a demon. All we knew was that they wanted to take my power for themselves."

"What power?" Stephen asked.

America paused, briefly glancing at Elena. She softly smiled at the younger girl, "It's okay, I've got your back."

America nodded, "I can travel the Multiverse."

"What?" Stephen breathed.

"You can physically move from one universe to another?" Wong inquired.

She hummed in agreement.

"How?" Stephen asked.

"That's the thing. I don't know how." America sighed, "I can't control it. It only happens when I'm really really afraid."

"And did the other me know how to defeat this demon?" Stephen asked.

"You knew of this magical book of pure good that gives a sorcer whatever they need to defeat their enemy."

"The book of Vishanti? It's not real. It's a fairytale, it doesn't exist." Stephen stated.

"Actually it does." Wong corrected, drawing Stephen's eyes to him.

"I found out in the secret book you get when you become Sorcerer Supreme."

"Unbelievable." Stephen muttered.

"You're not Sorcerer Supreme?" America asked.

"No, I'm not the Sorcerer Supreme." Stephen said.

"I guess that's what happens when you turn to dust." Elena said, not really having anything better to add to the conversation. This of course lead to her receiving a look.

"Other you was Sorcerer Supreme of his universe."

"Right, yeah." Stephen frowned.

"Although it does exist, the book of Vishanti is said to be unreachable." Wong spoke, and America nodded.

"It is but..." she trailed off, "We reached it. Then the demon caught up with us. I thought you'd protect me...but you didn't."

"That was the fight in my dream." Stephen exhaled.

"That wasn't a dream." America sighed.

"Prove it."

"That's not freaky at all." Elena mused sarcastically as she peered over Stephen's shoulder.

"It wasn't a dream," Stephen breathed, and America turned on her heel not wanting to look at the corpse any longer.

"You ok?" Elena asked softly, and the young girl nodded.

"That means..." Stephen trailed off, "dreams are windows into the lives of our multiversal selves."

"That was his theory," America motioned to the body.

"So that reoccurring nightmare where I'm running naked from a clown..." Wong trailed off.

"Some where out there...it's real." America confirmed.

Elena's eyes dropped to her feet. She had always assumed her nightmares were just a trauma response of some sort...she hoped the theory wasn't true.

"Some where out there...I had a ponytail." Stephen trailed off.

"There could be more creatures coming for her." Wong stated, and Stephen nodded, "The power is dangerous enough in the hands of a kid. Imagine if a real threat acquired it."

America took a couple of steps back, and Elena shot Stephen a look.

"It occurs to me young one, that we don't know your name." Wong spoke.

"America Chavez."

"Miss Chavez, will you come with us to Kamar-Taj? You'll be safe there." He asked, and she looked at Elena. Almost as though to ask her if she could trust them.

"How do I know you won't betray me like he did?" America asked, and Stephen shrugged.

"I guess you're just going to have to trust me."

"And if you can't trust him," Elena spoke up, "Then you can trust me."

America studied Elena, but she could tell the woman was sincere.

"What do we do with him?" Wong asked.

Stephen cleared his throat using his capabilities to remove some of the bricks and hide the body in the roof.

"That's gotta violate an ordinance." Wong shook his head.

"Ah, I've buried worse."

Elena arched an eyebrow at him, "Like what? Actually, don't answer that. I don't wanna know."

"The creature that killed him did it..." Wong started, "Did it have the same markings as the octopus?"

"Runes."

"This isn't sorcery." Wong said, "It's witchcraft."

"Witchcraft? Like pointy hat and flying broomsticks?" Elena asked.

"Do we know anyone whose faced such a thing?"

"Magic rocks, yes." Elena spoke, "Witchcraft? I don't think so."

"Actually, I think I might."
