Information
You didn't exactly know if the others knew the information Sans did, not knowing what was the right move to make.
Being put on the spot was never ideal and the panic that rushed through your body like pure adrenaline wasn't helping. You shook ever so slightly, not enough for Alphys to see.
She didn't need to, the look on your face must have been enough to ensure her something was amiss.
" L.. Listen... I know it's hard b..but we have to talk about this"
You wished you could avoid it, hoping deep down you would wake up any second. Wake up in Sans' arms. You wished this day hadn't happened at all, feeling cornered and alone and you knew in your heart you were unable to deny anything.
You always were a terrible liar.
"I.. It says in here that S.. Sans knew you before you met. H.. How true is that?"
You grip yourself tightly, flame in your eye quelling any tears that dared to fall. You didn't know if Sans wanted this information to get out but without being able to even ask his consent being truthful was all you could do.
You nod gently, feeling Alphys' eyes widen, her gaze more terrified then before as her calm demeanor suddenly evaporated into the sea of tense energy in the room.
"The soulmate thing.. W.. What about that?"
Once again you nod, knowing full well that information would soon be public knowledge anyway but admitting it didn't stop you shaking in the slightest. You feel a scaled hand cover yours, sharp nails digging into your skin. Looking up to meet the eyes of the reptilian showed a great fear and among those fears you saw that uncertainty for the future that many that looked upon you and Sans had.
"This is a b.. Big deal you know! This hasn't happened..b..before!"
Sighing deeply you place your other hand on top of the monster's , flame in your eye dancing with grace and with more furosity then ever before as the shared power between you and the skeleton coursed through you.
" I know. I know this is all new to everybody I just.." The words had gotten caught in your throat again, choking up as you struggled to find what to say. You didn't understand half of what was in that book so you couldn't even explain it to her.
How could you deny what even you didn't understand. Everything in your brain was jumbled like static, feeling your pulse quickly pick up as you begin to feel a need to get away in sheer panic. Your fight or flight responses begin to kick in, turning to the door only to be met by the sight of Papyrus carrying his brother in his arms. Sans chuckles with all the strength he has, laying a bony hand aside your face softly and smiling.
"Not fair to leave ya alone to do this"
Papyrus gently hands his brother over to your arms, surprised once again by how light he was, the skeleton aspect of your soulmate escaping you once again for a few moments.
"Tibia honest it's time the truth came out. Let's do it together shall we?"
You both re enter the room, hoping that any answers you could give Alphys would suffice.
