Fort
You sigh, your sobs now subsiding at the skeleton's calming gestures and kind words. He always knew exactly what to say, like he had known you all his life. It was like he knew you more then you knew yourself. It was scary but you also found this useful when you felt at your worst. You sniffle, Sans finally looking you in the eyes. Your own eyes had puffed up from crying, redness covering the skin just below. They felt heavy, almost like lead and your tears like acid as they fell down your cheeks.Seeing this, the skeleton held your hand tightly like a precious gem. Never wanting to let go. The skeleton smiles, wiping a tear away with a bony finger gently as to not hurt you. It was a hurt that Sans knew all too well, having spent many nights crying alone in his room. You didn't know this however, taking Sans for a strong type who feared not even the blackest night. He was like a knight to you, like from some romantic movie or anime. Corny but cute. Sans suddenly looks into the living room and then back to you with sockets full of glee, a playful smirk on his face. It was a look you had never seen before and just assuming it to be a quirk you shook it off without hesitation, that and the tears covering your vision left everything glazed and with a soft hue. Sans had never smiled like this and you feel immediate longing as he teleport from your arms and to the other side of the room. You chuckle, loving how the skeleton couldn't walk the less then twenty paces it took to reach the other side of the room. You make your way over to your love, Sans holding his hand up to stop you. You cock your head to one side, confused by the skeleton's sudden reclusive actions.
" Catch! " Without warning Sans throws something large and soft over to you, getting covered by the feathery white fabric that wrapped around you, entangling you in its lavender scented walls. You struggle, thrashing around in the sheets and unable to find an exit. Your heart begins to pound, threatening to break from the walls of bone that imprisoned it. You hated the feeling of being trapped, it reminding you of being isolated as a child. Thoughts flooded back like violent waves as they crashed around your cerebrum, breaking your thoughts and jumbling your words. You sobbed, beginning to panic as your soul flashed a bright (F/C). It illuminated you, finally feeling the covers being pulled away as light streamed in like sunbeams shining through the thickest glass.
" Whoa babe! I'm sorry " Sans pulls you close, seeing the distress in your eyes. All the pain you felt and all the love you had. You were exposed, able to be easily read by the monster who loved you more then he knew. You breathe in the smell of hot dogs that lingered on the skeleton's clothes, it soothing you slowly. You had nothing to fear, not with Sans around. A smile spreads across your face, Sans placing a few loose strands of (H/C) hair back behind your ear with that soft smile looking back at you. You watch with wonder as Sans manages to place the cover on the couch with his one free hand. You could see sweat drip off the skeleton, seemingly exhausted by his minimal efforts. You look up with worry in your eyes, Sans smiling as brightly as he could with what energy he had.
" L..lets speed this up " With a swift motion the skeleton raises his hand, a blue glow surrounding it as it had once before back at Grillby's. Cushions moved and the cover swayed in the air, hypnotic dancing enticing you and leaving you mesmerized. It was amazing, a magic show only for you. You smile at the mastery of the magic, watching as a fort was carefully made with the materials available. Sans begins to buckle under the weight of the magic he had used, leaving you to hold him up to stop him collapsing. Exhaustion, you had never really felt it. Not with the amount of energy drinks you consumed on a daily basis, you really needed to break that habit and get a proper sleep at some point. You shake from your thoughts, placing Sans on the couch gently in the fort. You leave with the intention to make popcorn and snacks for you and your skeleboyfriend, seeing him relax into the sheets. You smile, suddenly forgetting the pain you had felt not too long ago. You had bigger things now, no time to dwell on the past. The past was gone and the future was now, your future with Sans.
