A Stronger Bond

You managed to crack a small smile, your tears being wiped away by the bony fingers of Sans as they rubbed across your face as gently as a feather. Sans had always seemed a tad lazy to you, that much you knew from these past few days. If Sans was willing to go out of his way to save your life then you must have been something special, something worth fighting for. That thought was enough to make you grin, just enough for the skeleton to see as he gently wrapped his arms around you lovingly.

" I shoulda told you when we first met. Forgive me? " You nod, gently placing a kiss on top of Sans' skull. The monster had no need to apologise to you. He had only done what he thought was right and boy was he right in his actions. Humans didn't seem to really care for each other, only looking out for their own selfish desires without any consideration for the others around them but it was different for every monster you met and the child that was raised by them.

They were all kind hearted and understanding, looking out for others and not just themselves or there own kind. It was something you felt deep appreciation for, as could be told by your soul as it shone brighter in the dim lighted room.

Sans places his hand over your chest, almost like he was trying to reach your soul beyond its rib cage. He smiles warmly as he clutches the fabric of your shirt in his hand, bright blue tears falling from those empty sockets like a typhoon.

" Sans? " Without so much as an answer the skeleton looks up to meet your gaze, making your heart flutter gently. You loved the way he looked at you, with such compassion and warmness. It made all the pain you had suffered from all the judgement worth it and you never wanted that feeling to end. As silence settled something began to arise within you, a deep yearning. Sans' sockets became filled with that soft blue hue from his soul, a strong sign that your souls were connecting in some way. You could feel your chest become heavy like lead. Something was happening. It wasn't anything bad, in fact you felt at peace for the first time in years and as Sans suddenly grabbed you, bringing you closer you felt like things were going to change for the better. You smile as your souls emerge, shimmering like stardust in the dark.

" Now you know the truth. It's time Babe "
