"The Sharks"

Introduction

All Highschools have practically the same story, but somehow...this one has a group of unusual friends that interestingly, make it slightly different.

It's a normal school day in William Charles High. A new freshman year student arrives during the second semester. He barely walked up the main entrance until something, or rather someone made him stop.

Two other students stood in front of him.

student #1: Hey, you a freshman?

transfer student: Yeah...

student #2: You nervous?

transfer student: Very...

student #1: Oh! So you must know already who the alphas are.

transfer student: ...the what?

student #2: Of course he knows. Who wouldn't know about "The Sharks"?

transfer student: ...the who?

student #2: You don't know about "The Sharks"!?

student #1: Cut him some slack, he's new. (Leans closer) Who do you think they are?

transfer student: Well ain't it the jocks and cheerleaders? Are they what you call here "The Sharks"?

student #2: Not even close! and by the way, keep in mind to never make that mistake again.

student #1: My new friend, if you wanna survive your highschool years in William C's High, listen to my survival guide which only features the biggest danger here, "The Sharks".

transfer student: Who are?...

student #2: It's a group composed of 3 best friends.

Speaking of the King of Rome, three bycicles road through the school's parking lot, heading towards the bike racks.

student #1: It's them.

They got off their bikes. Then each scrunched down as they were putting chains around their bike's front tire and finally securing them with a lock. All three had black leather jackets with "The Sharks" written on the back in light blue.

student #2: First of 'em is the one called Natasha, a.k.a. "Iceberg". The serious one of the group.

(He pointed his index finger at the one with low ankled black converse, a regular black leathered jacket with the left sleeve rolled up to the elbow and a shark bandana wrapped around her left thigh. The girl's hair is curly, dark brown and reaches her upper back. She has big brown eyes, very thin lips, normal skin color and is petite).

#2: I recommend you not to ask her dumb questions unless you wanna end up even dumber. She isn't the violent type unless threatened or if you're the one who throws first, 'cause she knows she'll win the trial. She's not much of a talker and many consider her very sarcastic. You will never find her in a good mood. It seems she hates going out and prefers staying at home playing video games or reading a book. She doesn't like participating in any social gatherings nor activities unless her twin sister makes her.

transfer student: She has a twin!?

student #1: Yes, that would be Taysha, a.k.a. "Giggles". The sweet one of the group.

(He pointed his index finger towards the one wearing over the knee black converse, the same shark bandana as a diadem and a black short leather bolero jacket with long sleeves. This twin's hair is wavy, light brown and tied up in a pony tail with side bangs. She has sassy brown eyes, thin lips, normal skin color and is also petite).

#1: She's the less frightening one of the group. Unlike her twin, she is very social and always has a smile on her face. She cares for others and listens, which causes her to have a lot of admirers. You can find her in the gymnastics team practicing. If you need help I advise you to approach her, she won't turn you down. Don't mess with her though, she might look soft and she's just a bit strong but you'll have to deal with the other two, and believe me, you don't want to get in a fight with the twins best friend.

transfer student: And she is...

student #2: And that would be Adriana, a.k.a "Boulder", the aggressive one of the group.

(He pointed again with his index finger to the one that has on black high top converse, the same shark bandana wrapped around her right bisep and a black leather jacket whoms sleeves seem to have been ripped off. Her hair is curvy, short and it ends above her shoulders. It's color is a very light brown leaning to honey. She has small brown eyes, medium sized lips, white colored skin tone and is husky).

Note: The three of them wear a white T-shirt inside their jackets and black pants.

#2: Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT anger her in any way, or she will tackle you down, li-te-ra-lly. She talks if you talk to her, which nobody does out of fear, only her two best friends, but that's all she needs. You can usually catch her and Iceberg talking. She's in the wrestling and ninjutsu team as the only female. By being so, she must practice with the guys. You can actually catch some admirers amongst them. I suggest not being too near her when she's alone, she's in a better mood when Iceberg and Giggles are with her.

transfer student: So...they're bullies.

student #1: Not exactly...They only pick on those who mess with the humble, nice and weak. They also have no problem speaking up, defying those who think are superior and using their fists instead of words.

transfer student: Then if they're good, why are you both scared of them?

student #2: Not just us two, the whole school is. But, we wouldn't call it fear. It's more of a respect and keep a distance relationship.

transfer student: Okay, and how do you guys know so much about them?

student #1: Well...

student #2: They helped us, so they've been our idols ever since.

transfer student: So you both are stalkers...

student #1: And proud of it!

transfer student: Anyway....so they keep order around here?

student #2: Yeah, though cheerleaders despise them because of the big authority they have in this school.

transfer student: What about the principle and the teachers?

student #1: "The Sharks" are role models. Teachers love them and so does the principle. Giggles and Iceberg have top grades and they help Boulder with her's. They fully respect adults. Quite charming huh? They're always together. ALWAYS.

The bell rang and classes started. Hours passed until lunch time finally came. The three freshman students had agreed to meet up at the cafeteria. Another lesson still had to be learned.

The cafeteria was booming with loud noise and many voices asking of: How has their day been going? Who asked who on a date? and many many giggles caused by silent glances. The line for the cafeteria was extremely long like always. The three freshman students were waiting in line talking to one another.

The atmosphere is very cheerful and laughter's could be heard around every corner.

Suddenly, as the cafeteria's double doors flung open, all heads turned towards them. The Sharks walked in. Dead silence quickly filled the room; you could even hear the low buzzing of a passing fly. The three girls went to the back of the line. When they reached the end, every single student that was in front of them took a step towards the right as a motion of clearing the path to let them pass. The transfer student felt confused as his new friends grabbed his arms and pulled him aside.

transfer student: Whoa, wait, what's going on?

student #1: What's happening right now is the last lesson you must learn.

transfer student: And that is?...

student #2: No matter what position you are in the line, when The Sharks arrive, you will let them cut in front of you.

transfer student: Why would I do that?

student #2: All of us do it out of respect, but mostly out of gratitude.

In that moment, The Sharks were passing by them. Iceberg made no eye contact whatsoever and kept looking forward. Boulder gave a few threatening glances, while Giggles kept saying 'thank you' all the way. The transfer student stared at her as she passed by. When she noticed, a kind smile was formed instantly and directly for him. He blushed in surprise as she kept on walking.

student #2: Hey, don't be getting any ideas! If you want her you'll have to face her fanclub.

transfer student: The three of them are so bold.

student #1: And tempting.

The Sharks grabbed their trays and started chatting nicely with the cafeteria's staff as they served the food. Then they headed towards an empty table and sat down.

transfer student: They're alone...should we join them?

student #1: Are you crazy?! That's THEIR table. Only THEY sit there.

transfer student: Oh...

student #1: What would you do without us? (Smirked).

transfer student: Has anyone been able to get close to them?

student #2: Many tried, all failed. They're like a brick wall that nobody can knock down.

******

Meanwhile at the principle's office...

Principle: Yes yes, I believe that you three will be great examples for our William Charles High students. We already have a few excellent role models, I'm sure three more wouldn't hurt. Am I right boys?

Boys: You can count on us Sir.

Will The Sharks meet their wrecking ball or just another useless hammer?
