Chapter 16:

Iceberg and Boulder turned around to leave but Giggles grabbed both by the back of their leather jacket's collars and dragged them towards the table.

Iceberg: Giggles what are you doing!?

Giggles: We're going over there to say hi! Can't you see they've been waiting for us!

Boulder: I don't wanna!!

Giggles: Too bad! We're not rude!

Lawrence caught sight of The Sharks approaching.

He grinned.

Lawrence: Here they come.

Matthew: (Rolls eyes) Oh joy.

Kyle stood up in excitement.

Giggles stopped next to the table and let go of her friends. Both of them exchanged looks, sighed and turned around facing the boys.

Lawrence: So you cleaned up I see.

Iceberg: What do you want?

Lawrence leaned against the table relaxed.

Lawrence: Like I told ya. Go out with me. I won't stop until you do.

Iceberg: (Crosses arms over chest) I'm not interested in playing games.

Lawrence: Who said anything about games? I just want to have a date with you. Is that so hard to believe?

Iceberg: Yeah.

Lawrence stood up and stepped in front of Iceberg, looking down, straight at her eyes.

Lawrence: You're beautiful. You shouldn't doubt yourself.

The sudden compliment caught her by surprise. Her cheeks turned red. She quickly looked away annoyed, not wanting anyone to see.

Iceberg: ...I don't doubt myself...

Giggles was smiling non-stop. She was enjoying watching her twin interact.

Giggles: I really want them to go on a date!! But...how?...

She looked towards her right, observing a now sitting Kyle, whom is trying to make a move on Boulder seated next to him, but she keeps slapping his hand away.

Then, she glanced at Matthew.

Giggles: (Gasped) Light-bulb!

Lawrence with a million-dollar smirk, leaned closer to Iceberg's face.

Lawrence: C'mon~

Iceberg: No.

Lawrence: I know you want to~

Iceberg: No.

Giggles: Okay.

The five pair of eyes snapped towards Giggles.

She smiles extaticly.

Giggles: She'll go out with you.

The twin suddenly panicks. Iceberg speaks lowly through clenched teeth while looking at her with wide eyes.

Iceberg: Giggles...what are you doing?

Giggles: But, it's not fair you both have all the fun!

Boulder stiffens. She's spent so much time with the twins, it's like that twin-telepathy thing has rubbed off on her.

And she might know where this is going.

Boulder places an elbow on the table and holds the side of her face with her fingers. Looking at Giggles.

Boulder: (Laughs nervously) Cut it out Giggles.

Lawrence: Oh really? (Glint of amusement in eyes) So what are you proposing?

Giggles: I'm proposing-

Iceberg: Giggles...don't do it...

Giggles: That instead of just you two-

Boulder: GIGGLES CUT THE CRAP!!

Giggles: We ALL go on this "Date"!

Kyle abruptly got up, overwhelmed.

Kyle: You mean a Triple-date!?

Matthew and Boulder once hearing this, joined him, while Iceberg turned to her, and shouted in unison.

Iceberg, Boulder, Matthew: NO!

Giggles: YES!

Kyle: YEAH!!!!

Lawrence observed everyone, and lightly chuckled. He closed his eyes and quickly balanced the pro's and con's of this outcome.

Lawrence: Deal. (Opens eyes) Today.

Giggles: After school.

Lawrence: My car.

Giggles: Frosty Palace.

Everyone's mouth was open, exchanging glances between the two as they spoke. Of course, Kyle was the only one who had it open up-ward.

Lawrence: That place? (Raises eyebrow)

Giggles: Yup. (Sly smile) Take it or leave it.

The bell rings, signaling the end of lunch.

Boulder notices this and looks around, seeing the frozen crowd. Already pissed enough, not only because of the situation but also the fact they hadn't eaten, she growls and the dead silent spectators all rushed out the cafeteria. Leaving countless trays on the tables.

Seems like everyone witnessed everything.

Iceberg sighed thinking of the annoying news that's probably already spreading through the whole school. She and Boulder, quickly picked up Giggles (One holding her under the arms, while the other grabbed her legs) and tried carrying her as fast as they could out the double doors, since they knew she was waiting for his response.

If they hurry and not hear his decision, no arrangement would be made. They wouldn't have to break any compromise and Giggles won't stay and wait in the parking lot to 'keep her word'. They'd be free!

As they both desperately work as a team maneuvering Giggles through the tables, happiness fills their faces as they finally reach the exit.

Lawrence: We'll be waiting.

But sadly not before those horrible last words.

For the rest of the afternoon classes, Boulder and Iceberg were fuming. Neither wanted to go. Especially with the boys.

Currently they're sitting in the classroom, giving Giggles the silent treatment.

Giggles: (Sigh) Are you guys really that mad at me?

She looks forward. Her twin and friend sat beside eachother in silence. Giggles slightly lifted her chair and dragged it closer behind them.

Giggles: C'mon, I've been wanting for us to go out together.

They both cross their arms.

She leans and rests her chin in between them, where their shoulders connected.

Giggles: You know I wuv you guys~

They both looked at her silly face and couldn't help laughing. Boulder cracked first, Iceberg tried holding it in.

How can they stay mad at her?

Or eachother?

Iceberg: (Laughter dies down) (Solemn expresion) I'm still not okay with this.

Boulder: Same.

Giggles: We'll have fun! My treat!

Iceberg looked at her twin curiously.

Iceberg: But, why though?

Giggles: Because, that's what I want to know too.

The final bell rang. Punctually indicating the end of class for today.

Once everyone filed out like a stampede, The Sharks calmly gathered their things and left as well.

Walking down the hallway, Boulder placed a hand on Iceberg's shoulder, slowering their pace to leave some distance between them and an excited Giggles.

Boulder: (Whispers) Iceberg let's just ditch 'em.

Iceberg: (Whispers) Don't worry my darling. I'm absolutely positive they won't be here.

Boulder: (Whispers) You sure about that?

Iceberg: (Whispers) Pft, yeah. It's all a scheme. An act. They were just playing. Just in case, our Plan B: use bikes as an excuse to go home.

Boulder: Roger that.

Giggles: I can hear you guys, you know?

Boulder: SHIIIIT!

Iceberg: Good, so you're in?

Giggles: (Shakes head) They'll be there.

Iceberg: Sure they will. Just like Jhon Smith promised Pocahontas.

As they stepped out through the entrance, The Sharks stopped.

A perfectly black jeep was parked in the center of the parking lot. Lawrence was leaning on it, while Kyle sat on the hood. Matthew had been inside but opened the door and got out. The three had changed into elegantly-casual clothing.

As they noticed, Lawrence flashed a smile, Kyle jumped off the hood and Matthew shut the door. They started walking towards them.

The Sharks began to do the same.

Both trios looking directly at one another.

Iceberg: I can't believe this.

Giggles: (Smiles) Told you!!

Boulder: Iceberg you lied to meh! F*CK THIS SH*T I'm out!

Iceberg: Boulder's right Giggles. We still have time to escape-

Giggles: We're going to have fun!

Matthew: F*ck Ren. This is such bullsh*t.

Lawrence: All part of the plan. This is gonna be interesting.

Matthew:Why do you have to challenge yourself! You and your constant f*cking competitiveness-

Kyle: Shut up Matt! CONSTANT YOUR NAGGING! You sound like my Grandmah! Stop killing my damn mood. Daddy wants his Mommy!-

Matthew: F*ck you Kyle-

Kyle: I'd rather she do it-

Lawrence: Look at 'em. They're dying for this date-

Iceberg: Someone kill me.

Boulder: WE'RE ALREADY IN H*LL!-

Giggles: Remember the goal girls-

Lawrence: Don't forget what we're actually after.

Kyle: Yeah yeah Ren, your business is yours, I have my own-

Matthew: Why the h*ll did I let myself get dragged into this-

Both parties were closing in

Lawrence: Control your temper-

Giggles: Be respectful-

Boulder: I CAN'T DO THIS-

Iceberg: I think I'm gonna throw up-

Matthew: My temper is f*cking fine.

Kyle: Yeah...a true Jolly Rancher-

Lawrence: Both of you focus!-

Giggles: Girls get a grip!-

Mere feet away, the six pair of eyes glared at eachother.

Lawrence: Eyes-

Giggles: -on the prize.

The trios met and stopped dead. Squaring off.

Silence and tension filled the air.

Lawrence: (Smirks) It's time.
