Lost
(This has some darker content in regards of feeling hopeless and lost. If anything like this happens to you, please get help. You matter, and you are an amazing person. I will summarize my chapter for any younger audiences, but I would recommend 14+)
It had Ollie under its control. The darkness had finally found a way to get into its enemy's mind, and control it. While it would love to see its only obstacle dead, it found that it could infiltrate and find out the secrets of the morphs.

Ollie had lost control. It was like something in his mind was controlling him, preventing him from actually using his body. He was a spectator in his own body, even his eyes moving without his consent.
Who are you? Ollie asked in his mind at the intruder.
"Me?" It replied with a question, making sure Ollie didn't look suspicious by aiming and firing the laser gun. "I am the poison that took over your wings. You thought you could escape me, but I was able to take over the necklace and now I have access to your entire memory."
Wait, so what were the side effects then? Would Chris give me something that would have me under mind control? Ollie's consciousness floated in his mind, watching through his own eyes as they trained.
"Of course not!" It hissed back. "Your friend is too weak, he would never do anything for power. That is why he lost to his brother."
Wait, how do you know about Chris' brother? Grian pressed, needing to get answers from whatever controlled him. It might have access to his memories, but he could annoy it enough to make it slip. The darkness remained silent, answering more questions than if it had spoken. Can I at least know your name? It's kind of cumbersome calling you poison, or the darkness.
"Fine." It concentrated on making Ollie's body dodge a shot from Thomas. "I'm the Black Mark."
Black Mark.... Got it, I'll call you Blackie.
"Goodness me, you are annoying."
The time it had taken to squeeze out a name was long enough for the training session to wrap up, Blackie making Ollie glide down with lest gusto than Ollie would have.
"That was some sweet firing skills Ollie!" Thomas patted Ollie on the back, laughing at his meager scores. "What can't you do? Granted you had the advantage-"
Phoebe interrupted, pushing her glasses up her nose. "I shall have to embark on some research of the angle and speed at which one must fly in order to get the perfect shot."
"Or you know, just get lessons from the laser tag master here." Thomas rolled his eyes, a devilish grin popping up. "Or we could have a full out laser competition."
Hadix came and ushered them from the center of the clearing off to the side. Brushing off his shoulder, he congratulated Ollie. "As much fun as that sounds, Thomas, it will have to wait. Phoebe, if you wouldn't mind going with Ollie to learn the morphing technique, then meet Chris. Thomas and I need to keep working." Hadix led Thomas into the forest, Thomas wishing them good luck.
Inside Ollie's mind, The Black Mark, or Blackie as he had been dubbed, tried to get some rather vital memories.
"How do you combine the morphs?" It hissed at him, grasping rapidly through the droves of Ollie's memories, the good and bad. Inside, Ollie saw many memories that he had forgotten even existed, and some of them stirred up old feelings.
How should I know? I thought you had access to all my memories. What you know, I know. What are you even fighting? Ollie mentally crossed his arms and made a point of adding sarcasm to his mental voice.
"I'm fighting my sister if you have to know." Blackie dug deeper into Ollie's memories, the ones he had stuffed far down so he could forget them. The painful ones. "I don't know why I'm telling you this, but you're my pawn now. My sister is called Aura, Keeper of Light. She is my twin, and we were born for the balance."
Please don't tell me I'm under mind control because a sibling squabble.
"Oh no, this is more than that." The Black Mark gloated and hissed at the same time. It was getting increasingly frustrated that it couldn't find the key memory that didn't exist. "You, like Aura, don't understand power. Everything can be solved with power. Wars can stop, people can live like normal."
You're wrong. You are talking about enslaving people to be mindless machines, as if they were animals to be herded around. You misjudged people Black Mark. We are free thinkers, and we can fight against your power.
"You can try." It hissed back. "Just like my sister tried before she created you."
Wait. Ollie froze, making even Blackie pause in his searching of the memories, although he had already gone through most of Ollie's tumultuous life. What do you mean she created me?
"What, did you think you had wings from birth? You aren't meant to be this way Ollie. You don't fit the criteria of the twin legendary morphs. When I went out of control, my sister saw you and changed you. There is nothing special about you, you are just a human who has been modified to fit my sister's needs. That is why you can't morph, Ollie." At this point, Mark was trying to bring his quarry down. If Ollie was disheartened, then he wouldn't fight as hard. "You will never be accepted, because you don't belong anywhere. I can help you be accepted. I search for people like you."
Ollie remained silent, curling inside his own mind, wondering how much of his life was a lie. It was like he was a plant, trying to root itself into the soil, but every ten seconds he got ripped up again, exposing himself to the truth. Or what was even the truth? He was so caught up in his distress, he didn't notice the tiny smirk of victory The Black Mark gave, using his body, as he tried to explain having a vacant expression.
His life was falling apart into shambles. It was already cracked, probably damaged beyond repair, but this was the hammer to his heart. If he had control over his body, he was sure he would have felt its fragile heart shatter into a million fragments. All the foundations he thought he had turned out to be empty air, plummeting him to the ground. He gathered what thoughts he had left, and tried, tried so hard to fit the pieces together. They didn't fit, just left him with doubts. Only pointing one way, the person he had looked up to the most had lied to him. Brought him to a place where he could be accepted for being something he wasn't. Telling him he would get a morph, telling him he was a morph, nevertheless a legendary morph!
He was supposed to be special, but in reality he was just an experiment. Just a prototype for the war between the siblings. Ollie was always different. He didn't fit anywhere, he never did, and probably never would. It seemed that this was his life now, lies, deceit, and never fitting in.
His heart broke so much, it lost the ability for feeling. It lost the ability to love, to laugh, to cry. He lost the most important thing, he lost his ability to feel emotion. He lost heart in what he was supposed to do. That is the ultimate way to break someone.
The Black Mark knew that when someone lost their emotions, they would lose hope. They lost a cause to fight for. A reason to even try. He played on this, knowing Ollie was now but a puppet for him to control. The dragonfly that was supposed to be a beacon of light, a hope, had lost all hope. Mark controlled the hope and snuffed it out.
Ollie's friends would slowly catch onto Ollie's hopelessness, and start to feel disheartened.
So, as Ollie led Phoebe through steps to transform, that didn't exist, Ollie watched blankly through his own eyes. He felt nothing as he said what possibly might have been the most desperate thing he ever spoke.
If you'll accept me, I'll follow you.

Not exactly what I was planning, but here it is. I'm getting into the action later, we need a little bit of angst. For those who chose not to read it, pointers for you.
-Grian is not a morph, he was given the wings by Aura, Guardian of Light
-The darkness and the light referenced in the previous chapters now have names: The Black Mark and Aura, Guardian of Light
-The darkness and light must be in balance, that is why Grian got the dragonfly wings.
-Grian doesn't meet the requirements of the twin legendary morphs.
-Mark and Aura are twin siblings.
-Mark has figured out a way to dishearten Grian into following him blindly into whatever he asks him to do
-The Black Mark is in control of Grian's body, he got there through the necklace.
-Mark can see all of Grian's memories
-The Black Mark, or Blackie, tried to poison Grian before, but he managed to escape it.
Anyway, I think that sums it all up, I'm going to go work on my interactive story real fast, then pop back into this story to continue the ever changing plot.
Love you all!
